I think we can omit the Question mark from the original post. The Pats are the best team! We have the best coach and the best quarterback! If they keep playing the way they have, there is no reason they should't be in the SB in February.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!

I was listening to 98.5 today and found their perspective on fantasy stats interesting. Basically, if you want to win fantasy football, pick a football player, if you want to win reality football, pick the team (and coach).

45-3? Yep, I think that settles it!! The Pats ROCKED last night. Brady was dead on. The defense, while sometimes it looks like they are playing tag instead of tackle, pulled it off and got 3 interceptions. I think every receiver was targeted.
I my Patriots!!
can't wait to get home and watch the Tedy Bruschi special tonight!!
Can't say that I pay a lot of attention to polls and I never pay any attention to fantasy football. I don't know if Brady is playing exactly the same as he was before his knee injury because he doesn't have the guys around him. That makes a difference. He's also older.
Look at P.Manning. Okay, not something I like to do....EVER! But, he's not looking very good in his games this years, but he doesn't have any of his go-to guys this year at all and I don't think his bad playing has to do with his bad knee. It's probably due to the fact that he's just not used to not having 'his guys' and having to make due with new ones everywhere. He's even older than Brady and his throws are off, he's not always moving as quickly as he used to, yet very few are saying he's not one of or the best.
Brady is still one of the best QBs in the league right now and one of the top 2 of the past decade. It's going to be a while before he won't be. There are a few others out there who are coming up behind him and will prove to be great as well. No question. The stats can't always be there if the rest of the team doesn't match the QB, but a QB can't carry a team by himself.
All that said, I've never thought a QB should get all the credit for a good team and never get all the blame for a bad team.
I guess it's been a few years of exposure with fantasy football leagues that has taught me to look at all of the pieces seperately. Every poll that I look at has Brady rated between 4th and 7th right now. He has been solid in that area throught the whole year. No jumping up and down the polls. He is solid... just not "the best". Mind you, there is not a whole lot of difference between who is the best this week and Brady.
While he is producing much better than last year. I don't think he has quite the strength that he had before his knee injury. I do see that week to week he is getting stronger and exibiting more confidence.
I love Brady, I would not have any other QB for the Patriots. The pieces might not all be "The Best", but as a whole, The Team is the best.
Quote: "Our offense has some holes, our defence has some issues, our quarterback is damn good, but not the best. While each one of the pieces is not the best, the Patriots as a whole, makes up one heck of a team."
If Brady isn't the best QB, who do you think is? He hasn't had the same receivers every year, but he always makes the receivers he does have look good.
For the Pats, it truly relies on defence right now. When our D is hot, we win, our D is not... we don't.
Today, against the Colts, D showed up first half, slowed down a bit and played "prevent"... (not pretty!)and then saved the day with a late game, game SAVING interseption.
Our offense has some holes, our defence has some issues, our quarterback is damn good, but not the best. While each one of the pieces is not the best, the Patriots as a whole, makes up one heck of a team.
Here's to wishing hoping they can keep healthy and keep winning!!
"Fall down seven times, get up eight." Spark on!!

According to other sports writers, the Pats are not the best team by far. That's okay. The Pats always seem to do so much better when no one thinks they are the best. Let's keep it that way. I like that they're back to doing things they were a few years ago. Nice and methodical, moving the ball down the field slowly is getting the job done and that's all that really matter.
It would be nice to see Wes used more, but other teams are looking for that. Having other guys used more confuses other teams. They never know who will the thrown to. Not so good for Wes, but great for winning a game. We don't need more individual records, we just need more wins.
Our Patriots played another great game and now own the best record in the NFL! There is still a long way to go and we can't look ahead, but the Pats are also still improving. Brady has a lot of weapons and the young defense keeps getting better.
