I was so happy that my 90 year old Dad was going to see the game since we live in Fl, but what a disappointment for the old man and all of us Steeler's fans. Geesh!

Well he could throw the ball at the feet of his player where there is no chance of an interception. As long as there is a receiver in the vicinity, he won't get flagged for intentional grounding either. Even Troy A. made the comment that Ben needs to get rid of the ball sometimes rather than try and hang onto it. Or how about instead of that he should try and run...he is not that bad of a runner. Step up in the pocket and if the space is there..run..even if it is only a 2-3 yard pick up it is better than getting sacked and losing yards. He used to do that a lot more in his earlier years, that way too he can SLIDE and then if he is hit it is a 15 yard penalty. Loss of yardage is a BIG deal because often times it takes the team out of field goal range thus costing us points. There is NO excuse for ALL those false start penalties..that, as I said before, is just lack of concentration.

Go Steelers!!!

Okay.. first, our Long snapper got injured somewhere during the game, he was escorted out of the field.. as for Harrison he's a third string long snapper because it isn't his strongest place, however I think the Steelers never thought we would have enough injuries that we would need to put him in. I think that they are definitely going to be teaching him a lot more about his position now! Lol.. As for the team in general I am disappointed we had that game, like I said. But I can't say that I am not worried about the game against the skins.. I live in D.C and that means that I live around and work with Redskins fans and every week they get stronger and better, I am not worried, when we have a HEALTHY team, that we can beat the Skins, however we don't have a healthy team our punter got hurt but still played, Washington got a little beat up but came back, we are down Parker for who knows how long, and then who was 25? He got injured in the middle of the game too, sling around the arm and everything.. So I think that they need to definitely get Healthy if we have a chance to do anything.. I am not worried about the rest of the season 5-2 isn;t that bad, but I AM worried about how it will play out..

As for the comment about Ben throwing away the ball, the thing about Ben is he loves the pocket and when his O-line is stronger the pocket really works for him but he is easy to read because he sits in the pocket the most, trouble is if he throws it away he risks getting an interception anyway, so I'll take the loss of yards versus having more interceptions per game..

As for Scoobie, unfortunately I cannot agree with you about the Penn State game.. I love OSU.. I grew up in Ohio so I love them but am not an all Ohio Sports fan.. lol.. but nonetheless, disappointing game for me, GREAT game for you..

I agree too - I thought I heard something about somebody else taking over as long snapper and then Harrison was doing it! Aaarrrrgggghhh! We should have had this one in the bag - we outplayed them for three quarters - our defense looked good for three quarters - but we went home early.

I agree with all so far. Why the heck can't the REAL center snap long? Surely he had to do it at some point of his football career.

This game sucked the life right outta me. I can't remember when this drive occurred, but, it was the one where they had penalties back to back to back..I swear they had like 3-4 in row!! YOU CAN NOT do that and expect to win! There is NO excuse for that...it is PORR concentration, and lack of focus. I do not understand why Ben doesn't throw the ball away when he is pressured and knows he is going down. He needs to get rid the of ball and save us yardage. He throws some really bad interceptions( not that there is such a thing as a good one) but I mean when he does throw them he throws them right to the opposing player. It is almost as though he doesn't see him. This game was just beyond frustrating to me. What is even more depressing is to know that the BROWNIES beat the Giants and we could not, and we have a better team than Cleveland does. WE better watch out...the Ravens won too so both those teams are breathing down our necks. UGHHHH!

They best get their act together before Monday night against the Skins. That is going to be a tough game to win.

GO STEELERS!!!!

I agree ... so completely frustrated with this game. We had it and then just let it go .. sacks, interceptions, penalties. They really need to get their head's back into the game before next week.

Frustrated best sums it up for me. I agree we had that game in the third. Too many sacks and interceptions. Our defense can only do so much. Our offense has got to get it together when we need them. We need Parker back. We need everyone back by next week. I live 60 miles outside of DC and my husband is huge Redskins fan! It will be rough Monday night...I want a big win. Let's go Steelers!!

Alright, Game 7 is over and as far as I was concerned we should have had that one in the bag. Even with being down Santonio Holmes and Willie Parker.. and we had that game pretty much on lock until the third quarter. Which turned the game completely when we got the two penalties after Washington's touchdown that would have brought us up on the game.. Agh.. So in the past I have noticed that when we get into a little bit of a tight squeeze or whenever we gain a little bit of momentum, we tend to get anxious and lose it a little bit.. More often than not we beat ourselves with our penalties.. so what do we need to do? We have a strong team and I never doubt that, but today should have been our game and I am a little disappointed.. And JAMES HARRISON if you are going to be a LONG SNAPPER than learn how to do it better... UGH!

YOUR THOUGHTS?
