Good Morning all of my Sparkler friends:

It is just so beautiful out this morning. They are calling for rain later in the afternoon. So, we will just enjoy what we have right now...

We got our yard all edged yesterday. It just looks so much better once that is done. The city is going to be doing our sidewalk later in July. So, might as well make the old sidewalk look nice until than...

Nothing really planned for Father's day. A nice quiet day will be just fine for my DH. It seems the older we get, the harder it is to get over company LOL...We are too used of this nice quiet house I guess....

It was so nice to see everyone tho for the wedding last Sat....It is nice to get together for a nice time and visit too.

Cathy, We do have a some pictures. Our DS and his DD are leaving at noon today...The last of the company....We will see than if we can get some pictures on here....

It rained all afternoon and night here. Still raining this morning. Our DS washed his car our van and our little Landrover...now here comes the rain....

Our DS sat with me yesterday and asked if he could hire something to come in and help with my housework...Oh my goodness NO LOL....I think he has been home last, he does see me letting more things go....I guess I am out growing my OCD LOL....

Also, I am trying not to let a little bit of dust and some dishes bother me as much when they are here too....I can always go back and clean things once they are gone....

Wonderful news all around.

Merri, When I get home I will see if you have pics posted yet. I am glad the wedding and family reunion was wonderful.

Ellen, I will be praying this new job is the right one for you.

Dusty, I am glad your results came back negative for cancer and that the MDs can figure out where the blood is coming from.

All, I got good news at the Opthalmologist too. The eye looks healthy again and I don't need to come back for a year unless it acts up again. He said cutting back on sugar was a good thing. He was not so sure about the vitamins, but I know they help me.

Ellen, It sounds like your DD is going to like her new job. Our DD just applied for a job at Curves. Maybe an instructor or manager position.....Her Chevy selling cars sort of got old LOL

We went and got some healthy treats for our company. But, we did have bananas, apples and grapes. They were looking for JUNK food instead.....

Yesterday our youngest DD and family went back to upper MI and tomorrow our DS and his DD will leave. She is going back home to Omaha and Rick off to see his X in Las Vegas for almost two weeks. Time just goes by so fast when they are home...Than he will head back to Afghanistan....

We really don't like an empty house LOL...It is just too quiet.

Ken's sister took some flowers with her when she left and Rick's DS took some flowers back for his mom too in St Louis, MO.....We have so many flowers growing in our yard. Almost all of the flowers were given to us over time too...

Merri,

So happy to read your post about the wedding and that you had a good time. I'm sure it was beautiful. Your family sounds lovely and I'm glad you got to dance with your grandsons.

Still unemployed but less anxious about it. I had an interview last week for a three month contract job with a major corporation at a really good hourly rate, like double what I usually make. I'm hoping to make it to the next round of interviews. Got a few other irons in the fire and I really feel hopeful that I'll have a permanent job by September, when my baby goes off to college. It's not only the $$ driving me now, I'll be an empty nester for the first time in 26 years! I'd better get a life.

I think my sleepdoc and provider have forgotten I"m alive: still no new mask, I'm still using the Wisp, but I'm used to it now.

My DD is working after school and through the summer for a very serious fitness center, more of a gym, really. She asked one of the trainers to give her a meal plan and they gave her a printout of a weeklong Paleo/Primal diet. We purged our fridge and pantry of breads, grains, beans, legumes and sugars. There is no snack food in my house, other than fruit, vegetables and leftovers from dinner. We aren't hardcore in that I insist on some dairy (cannot drink my coffee black, gotta have some half and half or whole milk in it). I really want to lose another 40 lbs. but I know they aren't going to come off as fast as the first 40. I need to move more but I'm so lazy!

Raining now (we need it) and that gives me another excuse.....

Well my dear Sparkler friends:
The wedding went off like it was so very well planned...Even beautiful weather. Everyone had so much fun and the church was packed with so many nice people. Oh I wish the church could be like that every Sat..LOL

The bride and groom did so well and not one problem at all. No one of course said any thing about our DS having a tux on too. We only had one mishap..Ken blew a button on is vest LOL...

Everyone looked so nice and it was nice to get together for a joyous occasion once again....So nice to see everyone. I even danced with both of our DGS too...I never dance. but they just couldn't leave Gramsiecakes sitting there nice and quiet. They are 26 and 27.

Our DS had a very nice visit with both of his kids too. So nice to see them all together...

We are still hanging in here. The tuxes are ironed and now the men are off to get a new battery for our DS Porsche. It has been in storage for two years....

Seen the one GD & her hubby from SC this morning. They are off to breakfast with our DD and her hubby....So, just the one DGD & I here right now. She is from Omaha.....

We just have to make sure and get my DH's diabetic pills in him before we leave for the wedding and get something in him before the wedding too....Almost like having a little one to make sure and feed. I guess you could say "Diabetes sucks LOL"

Our DS is somewhere in the air right now. He left Afghanistan last night at 10:30. It is such a long flight for him each time. Once he gets here, he just dreads going back on that long flight. He will arrive in Milwaukee, WI at noon today. His DD will be coming into Milwaukee at 11:00 today.

His son will be coming in from ST Louis today and stay at his other grandparents house here in town...

Our one DGD is coming in from SC Carolina today. Ken's sister & DH from Ohio. Our youngest DD & DH from upper MI....

Oh I bet everyone is going to be glad when this wedding is over tomorrow!!

Our DGD ordered something like one thousand white roses for the vases on the tables...They looked sort of wilted when I seen them yesterday morning. They are in these long boxes maybe 4' long and maybe 6 boxes at least...

The other side of the family all live right in this area except for one aunt...

The sun is shining and will shine again tomorrow most of the day...

Cathy, I am down six lbs too. I think this darn cold that has been hanging on for almost two weeks is helping with the weight loss LOL...Still hacking away...

Now is hard, but the memories will be cherished for this wedding and the special suits.

Just had my toenails painted and then scuffed one. It wasn't dry. Debating on going back to have it patched. They are cute.

I am down 6 pounds now. Such a blessing to be reversing again.

My tooth is now fixed finally. Gosh so many things happened it seems before it finally got done....Two times it was cancelled LOL...

The dentist has to keep telling me instead of Mr Ken that I have a very small mouth LOL...The tooth was the very back one on top. The dentist was out of his chair at times standing by my head to get this darn thing in there between the teeth....

My dentist got his schooling in the Air Force. So I had to let him in on the 10% discounts that a service person can get at many places by just asking. So, you got it, we asked if we could get a 10% military discount there too if we paid in cash....Yup, we saved almost $25....

A person doesn't have to pay cash tho to get the military discount at a lot of places tho....I just know my dentist will give me some sort of discount if we pay in cash...We have no dental ins.

Well, the wedding is really right around the corner now. It seems like there are still things to iron out on our DD's house. There were going to be two Priests for the wedding and now the head one in Milwaukee said only one Priest is all the couple needs to marry them...Changes and more changes....

We are all set here as far as we know. DS & his DD are coming into Milwaukee tomorrow at noon....Other DD & hubby are coming in later on Fri....That is all that is staying at our house...

We just can't too much company anymore...So, a few couples will be staying in motels...

A nice day here again today......We seen in the paper this morning that a man walked into our bank once again with a note and got a large amount of money right in the afternoon. We only live 5 blocks from our bank.....The poor teller. It got robbed once before and when I told our DS over in Afghanistan, he thought the tellers would feel so much better if I knit them all slippers LOL

The wedding is just ONE weeks away now!!!

Excellent Ellen. Do you wake up refreshed too?

I slept Sunday night, all day Monday and Monday night too. I did deep water aerobics at 5:45am this morning and could happily go back to bed. I think maybe I better check my machine too.

Merri, The BBQs sound nice. I am thinking of building a fire pit in the back yard.

Merri, so sorry you are going through this loss right now. Sending you and your nephews prayers.

I've lowered my pressures over the past month from the original settings of 15 and 25 to 10 and 16. So far it seems to be working, my AHI averages 1.0 and the leaks aren't as bad.

Well, Mr Ken is all done checking out the gutters. He did see where the gutters did a little extra TLC on the corners. They guy was good, but he is trying to do too many things at one time. I told him that if his new business is going to work, he had better try and space his jobs out more and not be in such a hurry.

The sun is shinning here so nice once again this morning. We will grill out again today. We use our grill so much...

The neighbor is gone camping for the weekend and it is such a pleasure to be outside and know he isn't watching us from his front porch...

In Portland we had a 102 year old neighbor that climbed on his roof to clear the tree debris every year. Of course my dog barked and I felt obligated to sit and watch him so I could call 911. It was always stressful for both the dog and me. So I empathize.

Overslept this morning after being wonderfully energized and productive yesterday. I will try for pool class tonight or Monday at the latest.

Thank you my Sparkler friends for all of the wonderful words and prayers you have given me at our time of sorrow right now. I know my sister is in a better place now and out of pain. We may never know why she had so much pain in her stomach area after her total knee surgery. They are thinking more than likely a blood clot?

Her two sons are on their way now to CA where she lived. Her oldest son had been there all of the time during and after surgery and had just left to go back home only two days ago. Her funeral won't be until May 31. Her sons are 49 & 47...

Well, the sun is out this morning and that does help get us in a better mood....

Ken just thought he had to get up on the ladder yesterday and check out the guys job on installing the gutters LOL...

I cut the grass so I could keep an eye on him. I might not have been able to catch him if he fell, but I could call 911..

back from Dr's appointments....putting softner salts in water softner and resting for tomorrow when we have to pick up tons of cement to make the steps. Rebar and molds in place...also picking up grandkids so they can watch the meteor shower with us early Saturday morning.
Sorry no new garden photos until after our cement work and building the roof over the step is done and we re-fill soil around the garden next to the step.

Merri, Sending love and hugs to you. I lost a sister 25 years ago. Most devastating thing that happened to me. Our faith helps. May your sister be blessed in her new adventure.

Ellen, Good luck on the job hunting. I hope you find something perfect for you.

Dusty, Do you have new garden pics up yet?

KPA, Was your husband taking cold medicine? Some of that over the counter stuff makes my heart race too and my good friend was having them yesterday, probably due to the cold medicine she was taking. I hope he figures out the trigger soon.

All, I started my deep water aerobics class this morning at 5:45am. All that lawn mowing with the reel mower has increased my upper body strength. I was surprised I was as fit as I was since I put on all this weight this last year. I was also surprised I was able to get up and get out the door so early. Hope to sleep well tonight.

Morning to all of my Sparkler friends:

I received some bad news this morning. My only sister ( 14 months younger than me) passed away during the night.

She had a total knee surgery on the 13 of this month and just didn't seen to be able to get rid of the pain. She called me on Mothers day and said she had been in so much pain for a month before that she had her on morphine for over thirty days or more already....

Than on so much morphine after the surgery. She had been taken to a convalescent home and than back into the hospital with such stomach/bowel. They had gotten that problem all solved and than back to the convalescent home once again....

Of course we will know more later. I am thinking a body can just take so much and she might have had a heart attack...She had been quite heavy most of her adult life and now had lost a lot of weight for this knee surgery....

We just never know do we?

Good morning, everyone. Haven't visited or posted here in a while, I've been putting all my energy in to looking for work and I needed to take a break from tweaking my resume, my LinkedIn profile, and reading articles on writing the perfect cover letter. So sick of it, just wish someone would give me a job already! Got a one-day temp job for Thursday and had an interview for a really interesting position last week, so things are going in the right direction, it's just taking so darn long.

Youngest DD is putting together her financial info to apply for student loans. Unfortunately, her dad and I are not likely to get loans because of the devastation to our credit scores from the divorce and its aftermath. I've set aside a flat amount that I can give her directly but she's still got to come up with another $10 thousand per year. Don't get me started on the student loans the universities are offering: they hit you with a 4% fee on the total amount up front and nearly 8% interest on the back end. Nothing like the relatively cheap dollars I was able to borrow thirty years ago. Yeesh.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone. It's a beautiful dry breezy day here in New England, just perfect for a walk.

Well, today is our turn to have the bridal shower for our DGD who is getting married June 7th. It will be smaller than the first one. Our DD wanted to go together with the first one on the groom's side, but they just wanted their own I guess...

Last night at church I looked to see if maybe they would be announcing the wedding in the bulletin as they used to do years ago. But no, I didn't see it. I asked one of my friends there and they didn't know either but said there is going to be one big wedding coming up in few weeks tho. She was so surprised when I told her that it was going to be our DGD's wedding...

The sun it out today and that is one big plus...

It's been a stressful week here. Hubby had a cold/sinus infection and is now having panic attacks. He's stressing about them which, of course, is making them worse. His dr. has given him ativan, but he doesn't want to take it.

We are starting to get some nice weather here now today. They said frost warnings last night. Our two DDs got snow yesterday in upper MI.

The gutter man almost got all of the gutters on the house. He was sort of in a hurry at the end and cut on gutter too short LOL....He was worried about picking up his kids in time from school....Hey, kids come first in my book any day....

He will be back on Monday to finish. His wife went some others teachers to Vegas and he has the kids by himself and usually his wife brings them home with her at the end of the day. He is a firefighter....

Now our city guy came by and told us that they are going to be putting new side walks in this summer. He marked the bad ones (all of them) from the trees on the parkway. We won't have to pay for any of them tho as the trees did the damage....Even tho we planted the trees around 45 years ago....

At least we get some entertainment this way LOL.....Last year it was the guys who put in our new driveway that we got to watch....

The dr put my DH on some new medicine last Tues and our DS called all the way from Afghanistan to make sure his dad was ok...Some DS we have..God is good..

I have been trying to get going earlier lately to avoid the jammie issue too. I sleep in the living room. It would be nice to open the front door and no one be the wiser. It is 8:47 and I am still in jammies and have the futon down. I will report back when the house is ready for company.

Kristin, I think a nose wire would drive me nuts too. The second study, I decided that I would pretend I was in a luxury hotel with a butler keeping watch over me. It was the best nights sleep I think I ever had. No noise, comfortable bed, did not have to worry about a thing. Praying this surgery worked. Whatever happens, do not toss your machine. There are programs for upcycling them to people with no insurance.

It looks like we are going to have it a lot cooler here but not a whole lot of rain here in WI. Time to get moving as the gutter man will be here in around one hour or so. He comes early and twice now he has caught us in our jammies. I guess he has seen everything as he is a fireman and of course a rescue worker LOL

Yes, the study was w/o cpap. The whole process is so difficult and creates a lot of anxiety for me. The worst part for me is the tube/wire that sits just inside your nose. I can't stand anything touching my nose. I'm hopeful that the surgery helped but, if not, at least I don't have the feeling that there was something stuck in my throat anymore. I'm still dealing with taste bud & slight numbness issues. I guess I just have to wait it out.

Just keep swimming!

Did you get the study w/o the cpap to see improvements?

I think they chem trailed us yesterday We had a nice checkerboard pattern of jet trails. not the usual North to South run that our flights make. So we will probably be losing our summer like weather in a few days.

I slept really well last night.

Hi friends,

I hope everyone is dong well. It's raining so bad here in MI that I'm about to head to Home Depot to get supplies to build an ark. I think it's going to rain through the weekend. I hope they're wrong. We threw out our lawn mower not too long ago so, we're going to have to go buy one hopefully this weekend. We've got to get our yard in shape.

I had my sleep study last wednesday. I had forgotten how much fun that is. I think it went much better than the last 2 that I had. I had a hard time falling asleep but, after that I slept. I felt pretty good when they woke me up at 6:00. I go see my surgeon on June 6th to find out how it went.

Hope you're all doing well.

Just keep swimming!

I liked everything about Curves except the price and year long commitment. I bought a Swim pass instead and waxing strips for my legs and am going back to deep water aerobics for the summer. I am still tossing up whether to rejoin TOPS.

Cathy, So sorry to hear of your weight gain. I know how easy it is to find those lbs too. Let's hope they have something that you like at Curves...I have never been to any of those places like that. I bet it really can help tho. Our DD used to go to WW.

, We had so many storm warnings going off on our TV yesterday. Wow, what a day we had! There were some really bad looking clouds and rain around 8 miles west of here. We are lucky in a lot of ways as we have the lake so close to us. Maybe 3 miles away...

It is raining nice a slow out there right now. We do need the rain, but the guy that wants to put our gutters on is so behind on his orders....

What a privilege to experience so much wildlife. I consider those glimpses of the rare a gift. We have great Blue Heron's near us. Just a few.

Can't wait to see pics of the Tux's and wedding.

I have put on so much weight since I started working. I am checking out Curves today at noon. We shall see if they have what I want.

Look who came to visit our yard today...Cuddles spied it from our French Doors and had to go out and take a look! Cuddles discovered a Blandings turtle in our yard this morning!
In other states they are endangered. They are protected in Michigan.

The last few days we have had so many birds visiting our yard or flying over it that include: lots of robins, mated cardinals, goldfinch, blue jay, bald eagle, herons, chickadee, song sparrow, cedar waxwings, heard a catbird or a mocking bird, a little blackbird don't know what it was, and the blue birds are nesting. We have more birds than the aviary around the lakes in Minneapolis! Anyone interested in birding should love Anoka County!

So far 2 dozen daffodils have bloomed plus all my forsythia bushes! Happy Mothers Day! emoticon

I really don't know why but it "spits" the filters out during the night and I awaken dry and "dusty"

Cathy, Oh wow, I would never want to camp in the rain. My feet seem to really get sore when it rains. I do take Neurotin for it tho.

We have one nice day here today. Ken's birthday was on Mon so our DD and family here in town are going to take us to the Texas Roadhouse this afternoon.....Than tomorrow another place to eat out for Mothers day...

We really don't like eating out so much tho...It seems to be hard on our system. At least today will be at 4 PM. Nice and early for us. We usually don't eat much of anything after 7 PM...

Oh yes, the two tuxes came yesterday from Afghanistan where the man hand made them for my DH and DS for the wedding coming up on June 7th. Boy, my DH couldn't have had a better fit!!!! We did a good job measuring for it...

Dusty, I wonder why your machine did not like your filters. I can hardly pry mine out and I have been known to cut down filters to fit that were not originally meant for the machine. Love the mouse ear sized leaves. Very visual. Be sure to keep posting pics. You have a beautiful garden. We are doing more this year with our yard too.

Merri, If we didn't camp in the rain, we wouldn't camp. LOL. I may have mild weather, but it is wet around here. I bought a couple more foam pads for the futon and it looks and feels better. I also bought a dog colored sheet and two large leopard print pillows, so I am now happy with the living room.

emoticon Good Morning Team
Today is a gift...enjoy it emoticon
The leaves on the trees are the size of mouse ears!
My goals to complete this growing season:
working on getting new steps and landing made for kitchen door- our primary access to home with a gable roof overhang to protect the landing from snow & ice. Then a new driveway, aerating the lawns, bringing compost, horse manure and wood chips to the gardens, removing extra lilacs and old fashioned phlox and transplanting perennials and re-doing the daylily bed and the blue garden next to the deck.
Did you know that wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, and Queen honey bees can sting multiple times. It is only the worker honey bee that can only sting once because they have a barbed stinger that comes out as they sting and they die.

For my cpap machine that kept "spitting out" the filters I put a rubber band around the machine and no more dusty nights for me!

emoticon Dusty

We got some nice warm weather. It was almost 90 here too. This morning now it is raining a nice slow rain. Perfect as the dumb neighbor is at it once again. He went for his first camping trip knowing it was going to rain. I wonder if he gets a discount when it rains or is he the only one dumb enough to go in the rain LOL,,

We really need this rain tho...The grass is getting nice and green too...Fish are doing GREAT too..

So, today Ken goes to the pulmonary dr for his three month check up. I think we are going to start stretching these dr visits. I only go to the heart dr once a year and the sleep apnea dr once a year. Why so often for the other drs than???

Have fun with the camera. My friend got her husband a critter cam and they have seen all kinds of things wander by the edge of their property.

DH out of pills. So I am not visiting. Think I will go to Powell's bookstore and also do some window shopping for a day bed, maybe IKEA. I want to get out of the house. Oh, and I will visit grandkids too.

Cathy, The site that you posted on here was just too cute. I just love the one with the kitty...

We are going to have one beautiful day here today. Ken has been outside more now that the weather is warmer. His COPD was really bad this winter.

He likes to have all of these darn lights around the backyard. We have to have this water tank under the lighthouse he made and than he puts his pump in it in the summer to keep the water out of our back yard. We were on of the first ones to buy our new house and than when other ones built, they built higher than us...So, there came the water in our back yard.

Ken also built a nice fish pond to try and keep some of the water from coming in. Well, over the winter, I guess his wiring finally got bad that had been there over 20-25 years. So, the last few days he has been out there replacing his wiring and getting a lot of exercise now..

All of our fish lived staying outside in the fish pond with just an air stone to keep the water moving. The rest of the pond was solid ice on it...Our DS got Ken an under ground camera for next winter. Ken is going to have to figure it out yet how on earth it is going to work with it so cold in there tho..

I could not open a reply link last night to reply, so I typed on Merri's Spark page instead.

All is well here. I went out at midnight with a flashlight to see what was nibbling all the young leaves off my vegetable garden. We have an infestation of slugs. I covered the area in organic slug bait. I think I want to add more marigolds and nasturtiums to deter the bugs, since the slugs ate all the marigolds. I also want to find another giant pumpkin plant. I am not sure the one is going to come back. It is down to stalk.

Well, better get ready for work.

Good Morning ALL!

Merri you are not alone, we are just hiding in the background. I am still checking the boards so I read the posts. I've been a bit behind at both jobs so time has been short to post any replies. This will improve soon.

ALL - have a great day! And as Merri stated we also have sunshine in Washington state, so it is a bit more uplifting!

Good morning to all of you from me too here in WI.

We have the sun out and that sure gets a person in a good mood for the day.

I have one busy day today. First I have to get my teeth cleaned and than as long as they have me there in the chair, they are going to take out one old filling and put a new one in...No ins...but it has to be done...

Than off to the heart dr. Nothing big, just a checkup. It came about from when I had those darn irregular heart beats around 4 years ago. Finally a young new dr found it they were all from having sleep apnea. Don't know why I still have to see the heart dr now than....

Ken had a really nice birthday. He had so many call him. We talked to our DS too in Afghanistan...All but one grandkid called him too...Not bad seven out of eight called!!!

Oh oh, I am here by myself once again....Where are all of you????

Good Monday my Sparkler friends:
I see it just started raining lightly here. My DH went down to get his blood work done.

Today is my DH's birthday. We are going to go to the Texas Road house later today. We like to get there right around 4 so things have a chance to settle in our tummys early in the PM...Getting too old for big meals later in the day.

It seems like I am all alone once again. Most must be very busy right now

It is one nice sunny day here this morning. It was really nice here yesterday here too.

We have this new man organist that fills in every other Sat now at our church. We have tried to hard to get used to him. He plays that organ like he is at some baseball game. We were sitting down stairs when he would play as I have been in the church choir now for over 30 years. There are only three of us singing in the choir on Sat nights.

Well, we tried him again last night. Boy, did we come out of there with major headaches!! No more. We have told our new Priest a few times now and he thinks we should be the one to tell the organist that he is too loud. Hey, the Priest hired him not us.

Well, now we just found out last week that our DGD has hired this organist to play and sing for her wedding in five weeks. He really sings so nice. But, you can't hear him over his loud music he plays....Only time will tell LOL....We did give him another chance tho and it is a no go LOL

Cathy, I used to love hanging out our sheets until the pulmonary dr told me I was bringing all of the junk stuff into our bedroom and not good with Ken having COPD. Also those darn trees on the next door neighbors yard have such small darn bugs on them. I have thought tho of hanging a few things on our front porch this summer tho...

When we lived in the country, I hung damp clothes on the plastic hangers and hung them all over the porch. They smelled so good coming back indoors.

Oh we had so much fun last night shopping at Bed, Bath and Beyond where our DGD had registered for her shower and wedding gifts. Our DD knew more what her DD needed/wanted than we did.

We were going to spend $100 and with all of the coupons we used and the beautiful things we got it came to $99.91!!!

Today my oldest brother turns 80. Our parents only lived to be 53 & 54..

Walked Bud early and will again around 7pm. We also went to the dog park this afternoon and he had great fun with a purebred Lassie type collie. So elegant and pretty.

Vacuumed and turned the keys in, so I am completely out of the Olde School. I am a little melancholy as that building is a museum to my childhood. Great memories. I will treasure them. Now to weeding out the garage.

78* today. Lovely, Of course the grass is knee high out back.

Kristin, pray the surgery took care of all your apnea needs.

I hope that everyone is doing alright. It's been a while since I was here. It seems like everyone is doing well.

Our weather here in MI is still pretty iffy. It rained horribly this morning but, the sun was out and I didn't need a jacket when I headed home for work.

I'm doing alright. I have a sleep study scheduled for May 7th. I'm really not looking forward to it but I'm praying that it goes well. I will have to go see my surgeon after that for the results.

Have a super evening!
Kristyn

Just keep swimming!

Cathy, Was that a hard time for you to be taking everything back home once again? I know I hate moving anything at all.

We are still swimming over here in the rain LOL...

DS, GS and I moved the last of the furniture out of the Olde School. The garage is full again. GS helped by riding on top of the desk as we rolled it down the hall. He also made me a rock volcano cake and filled my purse with dandilions, lawn daisies and some little purple flower. I love that age.

We didn't put the desk in the house yet. I am still thinking about if it will fit.

Well, we are heading into one whole week of rain. I guess it is better than snow LOL...It is early yet, so we haven't heard anything from the gutter man yet. I can't see him working on a ladder in this rain. He had fallen and broke his leg in Jan at work. I sure don't want him falling off of a ladder now. He is a fireman...Fell right in the fire station...

There is something about grace and gratitude when bouncing back from any illness. I am glad he is embracing his new found health. What a blessing and an example for his parish.

We had a few nice days here and now it is raining very slowly. It is only 37 and not going to get much warmer.

I have to go to our DGD wedding shower this afternoon. I really don't care for those, but this one I have to go to. I got her and Ben a Sam's gift card. They buy all of their chicken and gas there.

We had our one Priest say Mass last night that was so close to death from lymph node cancer. Oh boy did he ever look pale and had lost so much weight and of course his hair too. Wow, you should see him now. He is so full of energy and his radiance is just so catchy. We just loved talking to him and being around him...He is in his late 70's they say. Wow. the power and prayer and his determination to live!!!

The sun is going to shine this week and predicted to hit upper 70s. I kind of like the 60 degree weather, but not complaining.

Kathy, I love the new smell of the house just being painted. I know it is a lot of work, but, boy looking at it after it is done is such a bonus!!!

I know, painting is soul lifting. When I was young and strong, everyone knew if I was mad because I painted something. I should consider that again instead of over-eating.

The porch is the next thing needing painting here.

My living room & kitchen are both freshly painted. New blinds & curtains in the kitchen and 1 window in the living room. Need to get all of the tape off, my kitchen counters cleaned & pictures back on the wall.

It feels like a whole new house, without moving!

Cathy, Just so you stay warm. You don't need to be getting sick. I seen on Facebook where someone had actually painted the planting pots in a rustolium kind of paint and they glow in the dark...

40 after your freezing temps must feel divine. Everything is so subjective. I moved back in the house. Too cold and too moldy. Buddy is thrilled. He spent half the night with my daughter. And instead of frowning at me and being huddled next to me in the morning he was quite playful and grinning. Sleeping on the futon with the new foam pad helped the back too. I don't feel so achy this morning. However, I do miss that wonderful bed. If it was a twin instead of a king, I would bring it in the house.

It is easier to clean the cpap inside too and easier to keep the house clean because I spend more time in it. Suppose to drop to 38 degrees tonight too, so glad I am back indoors. I might just stay here, except the hot summer nights. The garage is cooler. LOL

GD and DD have been planting all kinds of edibles in pots to line the walkway. It looks real pretty. DD painted the clay pots in bright colors and put them on red and silver stepping stones. GD did all the planting. She LOVES her plant babies.

Hi Cathy, It is always so nice to read your posts. Our DS wore an Air Force uniform for 20 years and he still loves to get dressed up. He even has these cool suspenders that actually hook onto the bottom of his shirt than onto his socks so his shirt stays in place. No way LOL

We have the sun out again today..Wow, we are on a roll here! It is only 40 right now, but we will take it. My DH put the filter back into the fish pond. It does look like all nine of the goldfish made it and through the coldest darn winter ever that I can remember.....

We took out our picnic table too. I think today our five ft statue of St Francis will go out too....A little at a time......Maybe even fertilize the grass today too as it is suppose to rain on Thurs

Merri, I can't wait for pictures. The tux's will be so much fun. Nothing better looking than a man in uniform and a good tux is the best uniform.

KPA, I love projects like that, but of course not the clean up. But after it is done it feels so great. The girls and I worked on the yard today. It has been quite nice.

Did not sleep well last night. Read and apocolypse book. Want to see Divergent at the theater tonight and then I should be wide awake for another night. LOL

Good morning. I have nothing but good news to share with all of you this morning.

Our Easter lunch went great. No mention of the tuxes until our DD was in the kitchen helping my DH to his no no pies LOL...She than asked me in a whisper if her brother was still planning on wearing a tux.

I said in a very excited whisper "Oh wow, you should hear what your brother had to go through and the risk he took going with two armoured guards to look so cool for his nieces wedding." I told her how these tuxes were going to be the best of the best being made all by hand,

She got so excited and now I know it is our DGD where the problems might arise...So, I think the DGD doesn't know about her uncle wearing a tux...What a big surprise this will be LOL

To our surprise tho our DGD is having this one man plays the organ so loud in our church be the one singing for her wedding...He does have one beautiful voice tho...

An email from our DS just came in...The tuxes are already made and all done in one week..WOW He had both a white vest and black vest made for them...Only $10 more for the extra one..
