Morning, I hope all of my Sparks friends have a nice Palm Sunday....It is still so cold here, but they are saying warmer by Good Friday..

Cathy, I did go and read your post on your Sparks page. Gosh, that was some ordeal you had to go through. I am so glad that you are on the mend. I know what you mean about no health ins....Our youngest DD went through that when she had to go to the ER room when she was having chest pains in early Jan.....

I blogged about the hospital stay on my Spark Page. Doing better, but having trouble keeping track of all the pills. I think I need a pill box. Besides two different high powered antibiotics, I am taking probiotics, magnesium, vitamins, thyroid, prozac. What a nuisance. Still, I have hopes all this will be helpful for everything (CFS/vertigo) in the long run.

Hi Kathy, I did find you now. I didn't get to see where you mentioned about your hospital stay tho. I am hoping all is well with you now...

It is only 14 here this morning with the wind chill at -2. The sun is out tho and that helps so much...

We have to get our hair cut this morning and get a few groceries...

Yes, Excellent idea as I look at all the dust, fur and dander floating around in the lovely sun beams that are poking through. I need an air purifier or to stop living with my dogs. Won't do that though. Mostly, I just sweep constantly which just stirs it up. Think I will damp mop everything and see if I can settle the dust in here. LOL.

How about cleaning the area around the machine and under it....dust or moisture spills
the cleaner the area is around the cpap the better it will work IMHO

Time to wash and change filters, do a thorough equipment check and cleansing and order replacement parts.

Cleaning checklist:
DAILY: Wash all pieces of mask with soap and water and rinse out hose. Change water in humidifier.
WEEKLY: Scour humidifier tank, wash hose with soapy water, check filters
MONTHLY: Wipe down machine, change and wash filters

Equipment checklist
FILTERS: Are they changed, do you need to order more
HUMIDIFIER TANK: Is it scoured and smelling fresh? Do you need to buy more distilled water?
MASK: Is it washed, does any part need replacing.
HOSE: Are there any air leaks? Have you run soap, mouth wash or other approved cleanser through it?
HEAD GEAR: Ignore completely unless it just smells too icky. The less washing the longer the velcro lasts. Have straps lost their spring? Are you waking up with kitty whiskers? It may be time for a new head strap
CPAP MACHINE: Wipe down and use dry paint brush to get dirt and dust out of crevices. The paint brush works well on computer keyboards too.
ELECTRICAL CORDS: Always a good safety idea to check these if they are tucked out of sight. Who knows what the cat has been doing.
OTHER: Do you need a chin strap to keep your mouth closed or cloth liners to protect your skin?
MORE OTHER: Do you need to purchase approved disposable wet cloths in case you need to do a quick cleaning and are just too tired to find a sink and soap.
