I know what you are talking about. I've been in Spark People for 4 years and I went off the "wagon" and gained a bunch of my weight back. But instead of beating myself up, I'm trying to get back on track. Had a good day today and will start using the message boards again to help have the motivation to stick to it. We all need encouragement!!

I weigh more now than when I first joined. I am starting over. Spring means "renewal" to me and I need a new me. emoticon

Woke up late today, and I still feel the sting of the pain.
But I brushed my teeth anyway, got dressed through the mess and put a smile on my face.
I got a little bit stronger.

Starting back with my SPARKS. I've started Youngevity as slim as possible weight loss program and have lost 21 pounds since 1-1-13. I think it has been asier since I retired 12-31-2012. So many things to do to keep moving. HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH ALL OF YOU.

BTW - I hit 15% of my weight loss goal today - Yahoo!!! emoticon

I'm just starting out, been a couple of weeks now. I've noticed that I slack off on the exercise during the weekend, but it's also the time that I do house chores, kinda makes up for it. During the week, I walk 1 mile on my tread mill almost everyday, something I did not do before. My diet isn't the best, but I am eating more fruits and less fatty foods. So... when I weighed myself the other day, I was disappointed to see that I have gained weight. Is that normal? I know it's just a number, but I wasn't expecting it to go up.

Also, is there anybody in Casper that would like to be a "buddy"?

As regulations grow, our freedom dies.

Getting really frustrated! I have been stuck around 220 for almost a month now. I fluctuate between 218 and 222 and I can't seem to get past this! Its driving me nuts. This week I'm at 219.4. Last week I was at 218.2. When will I get past this?!?!

My weight was up to 192.4 this week and no mystery to me why. Lots of stressful things going on in life and I was dealing with them with food & alcohol. So I got myself back on track this week, been eating right and exercising, hoping to see a better weigh in next week.

I weighed in this week at 158 pounds. I'm visiting my parents in Maryland for 3 weeks, and so this will be a difficult time. My goal is to be able to maintain my weight while I am here and then be able to continue to lose once I get home. Pray that I'll be able to do that.

OK I am from Sheridan WY and I have lost 26lbs in 10 weeks and I can't wait to lose more, I am joining the group in Sheridan biggest loser sheridan and we are going to have a weigh in every week starting next week. I can't wait to start. I am motivated to lose weight and eat healthy. I love drinking pop but this is one of the things I am giving up and I only drink water and maybe with crystal light in the water. emoticon

So, this week wasn't great. I gained half a pound. BUT I'm not going to let it get me down. I expected it actually. I knew I wasn't working out at the same intensity or as much as I have in the last few weeks because I've been sick. Also, I have FINALLY been able to eat again, so that is great for me, but bad for the weigh in when I can't work it off on the treadmill. And, the biggest reason I didn't lose...its that time of the month again. I hate that it makes my weight go up a little, but its life and I know its not a reflection of how hard I worked. Next weeks weigh in will be a loss!

No loss this week, but I'm not discouraged. I've not cheated at all, and today I fit in a dress that I haven't worn for 10 years.... and it was actually loose. My body is doing some adjusting, I guess. Yesterday I went shopping for a dress for my son's wedding and was able to get into a regular size 14 perfectly! That is a far cry from the 24-26 that I wore at my other son's wedding. So not discouraged at all.... in fact I'm encouraged. I can do this.

Weigh-in today was good. 2.6lbs down, but it was without effort. I've been sick all week and didn't eat (literally) anything Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday I had some soup and yesterdday I ate a bean burrito (although it tasted nasty and was EXTREMELY hard to swallow). But a loss is a loss so I will take it! One pound left to go before I reach my first goal!!!!

Gained one pound but think it is bloated or something. Been fighting not getting sick and my stomach is not happy. Things feel some what better today so I'll see how next week goes. Wondering if sugar is starting to bother me. I don't have trouble normally but when you don't have as much then every now and then you do things can get upset. Just trying to figure things out.

Lost another pound. Doesn't sound like much, but I'm getting pretty close to my goal. Guess it will be a lot slower. I'm excited though about the pound!! Much better than being up one.

Yeah! Dropped the .5 lb that I was up. Hopefully I'm off this long plateau and am on the way back down. I've been the same for 8 days. I think the extra strength building exercises have increased my muscle tone and that has accounted for some of the lack of weight loss. My clothes are much looser!!

So happy to see people moving toward and reaching their goals! You are inspirations! I just started tracking calories for the first time in years. Wow, I'd got way off track. Eyes are opening to how many cals. I was eating in a day and how that has contributed to my weight gain. Time to turn it around and go the other way. emoticon

Hi! I'm Pam and I have not yet taken part in this team's discussion, but thought that since I am a "Wyomingite" I really should. I have been with Spark People for about a year and a half and have had many ups and downs.... thankfully more downs than ups if you know what I mean. :) I started at 216 pounds and this morning I weighed in at 168.4 pounds. Goals:
Replace negative thoughts about my body, my life, my attitude with positive thoughts.
To not overindulge just because I am home alone, replace that behavior with another better action.

Okay, had my weigh in this morning. Another point two pounds up.

Had a talk with my Hubby. Told him what was happening and why. I have everything set for when and what but don't remember to do it until I'm getting into bed. I have no excuse except my lousy memory.

He wants to lose weight too so we are going to help each other especially with the food. I talked to him about what I would like and he wants to try. This will help for he does most of the cooking.

Did get my walk in this morning. This next week will be good! :)

Weigh in was this morning. I lost .2 Not great but better than gaining, and I was expecting a gain this week considering my eating was very unhealthy all week. Dominos 2x, Sandfords last Sunday (I got a salad, but their portions are huge and EVERYTHING comes with something fried!), McDonalds one night...I'm surprised I didn't gain 5lbs this week!!! Everyone else, I hope you are doing great and have better results than I did!

I did gain a tad but no where near what I thought - Yipee! I am ready for the New Year. Got groceries today and felt pretty good about them. Not perfect but good. My Hubby is even getting into the change of eating healthy. We discussed a few items and he helped me to choose the healthier version.

Week 2....I lost 1.8lbs!!! YAY! I hope everyone else is doing just as good!

1st Goal: lose 10% be at 231 Met 2/10/2012 :)
2nd Goal: lose 10% be at 208
3rd Goal: Lose 10% be at 187

I didn't see a spot for everyones weekly weigh-ins so I thought I would start one. Today was my official week 1 weigh-in. I lost 4.4lbs!!! YAY! How is everyone else doing?
