Ugh! We haven't had enough snow yet to shovel - thankfully! But just think of all those calories you are burning!

Cold enough here to snow - 28 right now. But I could do without any snow the entire winter! Ha! Wouldn't that be nice!

Sunny and 40 would be great around here for winter too! Except it was more like a late fall day. Our winters are unfortunately a lot colder and grayer and snowier!

I broke down today - but I didn't have a dew - a pepsi! ugh! I will just have to try and work it in to my ranges

I'm proud of you, Janet! I know how hard the weekends can be.

Sunny and 40 degrees is my ideal winter weather! Unfortunately, we probably won't see much of the sun until June or July.

I lost almost 2 pounds over the weekend, but it seems the elements are against me today (you know...when all those little things go wrong when you're getting ready for work). But I'm quietly determined to stay on track, despite this and despite the long day I have ahead of me. Hopefully work will pull me out of my crankiness.

We got the tree today and it is all decorated! It was sunny but cold today. Only got up to around 40.

I am proud to say I did really good this weekend with my eating which is not typical for me. I usually do bad on the weekends. But I was really busy so I didn't get to work out at all.

Yep, the holidays are supposed to be slow for many offices and such, but I worked 2 days of the 4-day weekend, and it is perpetually crazy. There is no non-crazy time anymore. Don't they know I'm not a 30 year-old anymore? ;)

I've been refreshing myself on the Mayo Clinic Diet book this Saturday morning (how did it get to be afternoon, already?!). Redoing my logs and plans. Starting fresh again today. I'm not highly enthusiastic about it, but taking the needed steps.

So far, so good.

I did have a bit of a bad food day today. But I am allowing myself one sort of bad day a week. Where I may either be right at the top of my calorie range or just over. This helps me get over my cravings for bad foods if I have just a little of it.

Visiting family can be fun but it can also be stressful! Watch the stress-induced eating! Make sure you are tracking what you eat - every bite - so that you are aware of what you are putting in your mouth..

Still on track! Two weeks and I am still on track and I have lost 2 pounds! YES! I can do this! I am so glad that I am back on my healthy lifestyle. I feel so much better. I am getting my energy back, I am sleeping better and I just overall feel better. I can't wait to get under 180 again!

I went a little off track over the holiday, but I expected that so no biggie. I didn't lose any weight this week but I didn't gain any either. In my book that is a win! Especially since I had no Dew!

Good for you Lynn. Slips happen just get right back on that horse and don't look back!

It's tough to retrain ourselves to replace our eating for comfort or reward, with something healthy (or at least not unhealthy). These old ways are so deeply embedded in us. We have to stay aware all the time.

I've been able to do it for many months (way back when I was younger), but always go back to my learned ways of childhood and youth. These days, if I go for a week, it's an amazing accomplishment. There's no easy answer...we just keep plugging along, slipping and getting back on our feet again. I admire you for continually getting yourself back up again, Janey!

it is okay to treat yourself every once and awhile!

I just added in all my food to my tracker and I am definitely well within all my ranges! I even had a half of a hersheys chocolate bar!

I have got to learn how to reward myself without using food.

I am so proud of you! Way to go on dealing with a very stressful situation.

Learning how to deal with stressful situations is the key. I know when I have something bad happen I just want to dive into a bag of chips and wash it down with a bottle of dew. I would rationalize that because something bad happened I deserve a treat.

I'm am having a really good day today staying within my ranges. And no dew again today!

Welcome back to the bandwagon! :) Being on the high end of your calorie range for a weekend is quite an accomplishment, in my opinion, so emoticon

Haven't heard from Night, and her page isn't active, recently. Will keep trying!

I did great yesterday, until late at night, when I grabbed some cookies. But I still did better than I've done in months, so I feel good about that.

At the memorial service, I was an emotional wreck (I didn't know the woman who died, and only met her mom recently) because I'm still mourning my cat/little girl/love of my life, and also was asked to sing, which brought up all my insecurities about having attention on me and such. I turned it into a singalong, which helped - and they loved it.

Despite all this, I didn't have a single piece of fudge (but, oh, it was tempting!), and filled my plate with mostly veggies. The lightest meal I've had in ages.

Oh, boy, am I going on!

Hi Lynn! I was going a little crazy there talking to myself!

I have gotten right back on that wagon! That one dew didn't make me want anymore! Weekends typically are a little hard for me to stay within calorie range but I am hovering right around the high end of my range for calories. But I am really working on getting my carbs and my cholesterol in range.

I swear it was those pirates who high jacked me!

Just ordered the Mayo Clinic Diet book from library to restart myself today.

Tough day to start, as I am going to a memorial service with lots of food, and I'm not comfortable talking with strangers and acquaintances (getting shy in my old age!) - food would normally be my comfort-place in situations like these.

You did great for several days there - I know how hard it is for you to stay off the Dew! That it didn't do anything for you is great. Maybe that will help motivate you to say No next time.

Saying No is not in my vocabulary, in regard to food these days. I've gained back everything I lost before. My little girl (my cat, India) died in October and I've been in mourning for her, so I haven't been motivated to exercise or eat healthy.

emoticon But today, I commit to starting back on my old daily minimum of cycling while watching TV for at least 1/2 hour a day - starting tonight. I used to watch Ted Talks, instead of just entertainment TV, while cycling, and I felt better every day. Still working out why I avoid doing things that make me feel better

Had a bad day today. I had a mountain dew. But you know it did nothing for me. I didn't really enjoy it. I guess that is something. I am going to keep on going. Previously this would have totally derailed me. But not this time! I am going to get through it.

4 days in a row no Mountain dew! Even though I again went over a little on my calories I am really happy about cutting out the soda pop! Since I started back on track I have noticed a difference in sleeping better. Caffeine will kill ya!

Well yesterday I did go over in calories but only by 150 and a little over on my carbs. Everything else was in range.

Day 1 (yesterday) I stayed within my calorie range.
Day 2 (today) I slipped a little. Depending on what I eat for dinner I may go over on calories.

The most important thing is that I have not had any Mountain dew or any other kind of soda for 2 days now.

That is definitely an improvement for me!

It is has been so hard to get back on track. But at least I am trying. I gained almost all my weight back. I really need Night to kick me in the butt!

You've been a busy one, Night. With all that working out, you must be losing some lbs!

Weather says we've got a chance of snow next week. It would be the first of the season. Would be fun to have a light snow.

Getting our holiday tree on Sunday, unfortunately it's supposed to rain, but it's the only day we can both go. We're going to get a permit to chop a tree down in the forest. Just a little 3 footer or so.

I got some glass xmas balls and kind of made my own decorations out of them - the easy way. It was fun. Haven't really celebrated the season in years, but am inspired to do so this year. Instead of Christmas or Hanukkah, I celebrate the "Season of Light" which kind of encompasses all the spiritualities I know of that celebrate this time of year. The 3 biggies all have to do with light (Christmas, Hanukkah, and Winter Solstice).

Hope you are well. We'll have to do an intervention on Janet!

well weather here been little weird cold one week warm next and 1/2 warm /cold week after that.
so you have been working your rear off , still enjoying it?

well I got to finish my exercises before Christmas shows come on so far I have total 70 min in different exercises from walking on treadmill , stationary bike and strength , still have the BLC- teams work out to do not sure how many step ups and punches I will do as I am wearing down now, lol emoticon
THE bad new s is I am gaining again and losing those same pounds over and over again I thought I had ran over that darn cow but I guess there was a MOOSE in road I had hit to
emoticon .
hope fully I can work around that moose, lol emoticon

YIKES I see its time for lunch so guess I will go sniff out some thing to eat.

this weekend has been a wild one we had my brother and them here they went stayed 3 days to go hunting and got nothing to show for it
, now they will be back again this weekend and until they get one.

It's the start of the week. Hope you ladies have a great one! And hope you get some good weather.

Yes, Night, since I've become the breadwinner, and my husband has retired, he has started taking good care of me, including building wood stove fires, making dinner, doing dishes, etc.. He sees how hard I work, and the hard choices I had to make in order to take care of him. It took a couple of years of hell to get here - so glad we're past that part!

Gotta fly, now, to work. Have a wonderful week!

Night - Luckily when I walk the hills it only bothers it sometimes. I am so glad it doesn't hurt constantly!

JANEYTEE - guess I will have to come up and step on that foot , that will make it better emoticon I still can not figure out how you can walk all that way up your darn hill with that foot like that. ouchie, does the cold weather bother it much?
THANKS - I think I worked my tail off to kill that cow, lol
this week my goal is back to 1 pound,
I am right now on rest break from doing our Team challenges for weekend , this weekend they are hard,
sodium , carbs, fat, protein range, and bunch of other things.
I see next month they have a November challenge out for thanksgiving think its also on face book to which I don't go to much.
WELL MY BREAK OVER ,

Happy Friday ladies!

Thankfully we only had snow flurries. But it is still cold, gray and windy. Brrrrrr! But the weekend is upon us and I don't have to go out in the weather much. I am hoping it warms up a bit though. Hate being stuck inside for too long.

Lynn - I had my foot in a boot for 9 weeks. It didn't hurt at all when I was in it. That was supposed to give it time to try and heal itself, But when it was time to take the boot off and I started walking on it it slowly started hurting again and even swelled up again. I am so tired of dealing with this!

Night - I am glad you are doing well! Great job on the weight loss!

Not cold at all tonight, Night. I came home to a toasty fire in the wood stove.

I don't allow TV in the bedroom. We have our laptops and can watch movies, etc., on them in the living room. That's plenty!

Had a good day - saved a client or two, got my work done and went to a little party put on by a mortgage broker I met. Had a better time than I thought I would, for the type of party it was. What a hoot!

I guess I slept as well as could did not get to bed until 12 emoticon was still working on my papers and then hubby had that darn t,v on in bed room again.

Janet, congratulations to Marissa and her team! I'm sorry your ankle is still bothering you. Ugh! Are you able to stay off of it, to help it heal on its own? Can you get your family to wait on you when you're not working? Tell them it's that, or surgery, which will surely lay you up for months and they'll have to do all the cooking and cleaning and errands!

Sorry to hear about the weather forecast for you ladies. 40 is cold, especially if there's no sun (but with sunshine, I LOVE 40 degrees!). We got lucky - the fog is lifting in the afternoons now, so I got to enjoy sunshine with low 50s temps after work for a few minutes, which is perfect for me. Feeling fortunate just now, compared to you ladies with 'real' winter weather coming on.

My new(ish) job has been intense this week, and I think it will be for some time. If we bring in enough money with the new boss, I'll be asking for more hours, for sure. Can only do so much in my limited hours, and unbeknownst to them, I'm giving some hours for free, so I don't blow a gasket trying to cram more into the hours than is possible. I am taking the fun stuff home - the desktop publishing. It helps to still be in the 'honeymoon' stage of my new job. I love it, and the people I work with and for. It's a natural high to be working again...been a long time since I felt this way, and am quite grateful for it.

Again, I'm babbling. Sorry to ramble.

Good morning ladies! Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I have been really busy at work and had a busy weekend of soccer! Marissa's team won both games this weekend! Yeah!

The weather here is turning cold. Only supposed to be in the 40s today. They are forecasting snow flurries for tomorrow and Friday! Brrrrrrrr! I am just not ready for winter yet!

My ankle is still bothering me so I have only been doing some light walking. And of course I got off-track again with my eating. But I am determined to finally get back on for good. So here's me going at it again.
