Hey Guys,

Day 5 for me here and I am a day behind, kinda sorta. I didn't work out Wednesday night as planned, so I did Shoulders & Arms w/ ABX on thursday and I did Yoga X today instead of Legs & Back. Plyo has always been hard on my knee and this time is no different. So with that said next week I'll probably switch in Cardio X instead. Tomorrow I have Kenpo X, which I am looking forward to.

Hope to see everyone in WOWY tomorrow morning.

I missed yesterday's Yoga. I was getting dressed for it then my MIL called to invite us out to dinner. So hubby said yes, I had to change back to my clothes and we ended getting home around 11 pm. TOo late to even think of working out for 1 1/2 hr.

Today Legs and back & ab ripper!!

Hey everyone I missed weds. workout I did shoulders and arms yesterday and did pylo this morning. It is a harder keeper up with the workouts since I started taking care of my grandmother. But I will get there even if my 90 days takes a year.

So glad you are back with us STOOOOO!!!!

I was too tired last night and I couldn't do my Plyo. I instead went out from a walk/run for about 35 minutes. I feel much more rested today so I will definitely complete my workout!

Hey Guys,

Yesterday was Day 2: Plyometrics. Let me just tell you I forgot how hard Plyo was. I was gasping for air quite early on. I also woke up very sore this morning. Thank g-d for AM Yoga. My knee didn't hold up as well as I hoped, so next week I might swap in Cardio X.

Yes I know I started it, but then my wife started back to work. So we had to refigure our schedule. Yeah I did like Plyo last time I did the program. It's one of the reasons I loved P90X.

Hey Guys,

Yesterday was Day 1 of our restarting P90X. No this is not round 2, since we never did finish round 1. I forgot how hard Chest and Back was, maybe it was harder because I am using a pull up bar this time. Either way I felt pretty sore this morning, but it was nothing that a little AM Yoga couldn't fix. Tonight I have my old friend Plyo. Hopefully me knee holds up.

Tuesday blahs will come and go - statistically, your lowest spirits are around 4:30 pm on Tuesdays. Not my spirits, they occur at the bottom of a good Australian chardonnay... Well, not any more. HANG IN THERE CLROSS1!!!! You are replacing loose fat with dense muscle. Don't be discouraged. A better barometer then weight would be measurements. Are you loosing inches where you want to? If so, don't worry about the weight - it's good weight! That goes for your brother as well. Although it does sound like he will still shed some pounds, but don't let that get you down! You're rock'n!!!!

We didn't get any snow here in Mississippi but it has been cold and windy. Usually by March it is 70 degrees around here.

Hey Mr. Watts My Brother is goring pretty slow with the the workouts. He is very over weight and very out of shape. He Has trouble making it though the warm up. He keeps talking about trying pylo but I don't think he is ready for that.

I am getting a little discouraged this weekend I got on the scale and I was down to 137 and today I got on there and I was back up 139. I don't understand this is always happens I go back and forth then end up going off my diet. I am going to try and stick to my diet and maybe it will come back off I am tried of this back and forth it kills my motivation. emoticon

OMG... I live in AZ, so no snow where I live!

Sorry to say this, but I think we hit the 90 today, but for sure in the 80's!! It was hot today!! It's weird that we are getting warmer weather that fast.

Hello Everyone!

Today I really thought I was going to end up missing my workout. Me and hubby mowed the lawn for over an a hour (wore my HRM burned 380 cal). If you are wondering how much grass are we cutting here.... I am a manager at an apt complex of 26 units....so it's kind of big emoticon

I was so tired afterwards and I wasn't feeling like doing my chest and back. I didn't let that stop me. I completed the workout! I just wont do the ab ripper... that would kill me right now!!!

CLROSS1- Glad you are back! And I think I might get some wrist weights... that will certainly make the Kenpo workout a bit more challenging! Great idea thanks!

I did Kenpo last night. I am feeling sore today, so glad we get to stretch today. You know what, I have only lost 1 lb. during these almost 2 months but I feel so much better. I feel my waist and it's definitely smaller. I'm so excited. I think I feel more refreshed to start Phase 3!

Hey Guys I missed yesterday but I did Kenpo today. It has become kinda boring doesn't seem as challenging as it did before. I might try adding some wrist weights next time.
I'm still not having any luck losing weight though.

Thanks Mr. Watts!

I started the Yoga but I couldn't get through it, I did about 35 mins of it. But I didn't want to just take the rest of the day off, so I added some Zumba, 35 mins. of it.

Burned a total of 273. I adjusted my calorie intake, because I am definitely not burning 600 cals. a day so we'll see if that helps me drop the extra lbs left.

I feel bad to say this, but I missed Saturday's workout. It was crazy busy and I had no time to squeeze it in, I know it's not an excuse, but really was busy.

BUt I didn't over eat. I ate a couple of bad stuff but I belive I stayed on track. Hard to track my mexican foods here sometimes.

Anyway, recovery week today. Let's see how that YOga goes!

Hi, MARIELAMS! Your new pics look great! I reached my goal weight, so I got myself a new ticker, and am reaching for another 5 pounds. We'll see how it goes. The important thing, though, is that I can wear my SKINNY jeans again! LOL! (I've NEVER been SKINNY! LOL!)

Well... This last week has been pretty good as far as losing weight. But, I've also been doing fewer and fewer of the P90X routines. Next week is recovery week, and I've sort of made up my own thing.
I'm really close to my goal, now...
I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing, and decide whether or not to stick with P90X. I may still do some of the routines, though.
I just did 67 minutes of cardio, then I'm gonna do Cathe's CORE MAX, the 1/2 hour of yoga (Crunch perfect yoga; just got the DVD yesterday).

Hey Guys I'm finally back home. I did pylo this morning and i did arms and back yesterday. I'm just so glad to be home and back to working out hopefully I will start to see some weight loss soon.

Yeah I use a chair too for the chin ups! I can't do them unassisted. One day...one day! lol As soon as the weather permits I will start the couch to 5k program to run in the mornings. It's too cold to do it now. So that will bring extra cardio. Hopefully that will soon.

Congrats on the new dumbells, MARIELAMS! The gloves are a good idea. I actually have some to, but I wear them for motorcycling. I never even thought when I bought them to use them for weights... maybe I should try them for that! LOL!
Anyhow, I'm gonna do my EXTREME version of Leslie Sansone's 4 Mile Super Challenge, (I can burn almost 500 calories doing that workout) then I will do something else to burn another 100 calories.
Then, I will do Back & Biceps. I think that one is a bunch of chin-ups. OMG! I still can't do even one UN-assisted chin up. I have to use a stool!
Oh, well. I don't care... I'm down another 1/2 pound; 1/2 pound to reach my GOAL!!!

Good Morning!

We'll I made up for monday's workout last night and I did pretty good. I did chest/shoulders/tri, ab ripper, and Kenpo. I was supposed to do Plyo, but my computer was acting up and wouldn't read my Plyo dvd, so I did the Kenpo instead. I'll do Plyo on Saturday.

I forgot to tell you HAWGWILD1, I got dumbells. I went to Sports Authority and I got me some 10 lbs. I was going to get the 12 lbs and I chickend out lol. I thought they were too heavy. So, maybe in a couple of weeks I'll get those. My hubby got me some pretty black and pink lifting gloves.

I find it funny wearing gloves lifting 8 & 10 lb weights lol! emoticon But hey, it feels more comfortable!

I can't believe were almost done with phase 2....it went by so fast. I'm definitely doing doubles after this one! emoticon

You will get there too! But, I think you look really great RIGHT NOW!
I didn't do plyo today. My knee still tweaky. So I did 44 minutes of tae bo, the 30 minutes of Wii Fit Coach. Got my 600 calories burned, anyhow. I'm gonna work on my abs next!
Let's keep going. Recovery week next week, again ALREADY!

HAWGWILD1! congratulations!!! I'm so jealous!!!

I just read your post in which you said you were eating more carbs (200) and about 100 of protein... I think I will do that. I still have weight to lose and I don't want to be stuck at 160 u know?

On a postive note, I have 3 weddings to attend in March and April, I got 2 dresses yesterday. Both size M. I was so excited!! I still have my baby pouch...but much much smaller than when I started. I have to keep working hard on it. Hubby and I decided to try for baby #2 in the fall! emoticon

I missed yesterday's workout, but I will do it today.
Chest/shoulders/ ab ripper and Plyo...wow...I will definitely eat my carbs today!

Hello! I just did an hour and 10 minutes of cardio. Will do Chest, Shoulders & Triceps today.
And, LOOK MARIELAMS! I've lost THREE pounds! I think it's all the X tra cardio I've been doing!

I did Kenpo today. The I did Pilates Power Sculpt Abs. Then I did another 1/2 hour on the elliptical. Tomorrow REST!

Had another crazy friday last night. I didn't get my workout done but I did it today. So I will take friday as my rest day and tomorrow (sunday) I will do my Kenpo X. I can't wait. Kenpo is my favorite.

CLROSS- So sorry this is happening to you! MIL's can be such a pain sometimes. Hope time passes by soon!

Hey Guys glad to see ya'll are still working hard. I only have a few days to go. My Mother in law always wants me and the babies to come up then she never spends any time with them. She be working, or playing poker, or even go to sisters house to visit. That's why I feel I have wasted my time being here.

Good Morning!

So I weighed this morning and still no weight loss, still at 160 which frustrates me a bit. I started cutting back on calories since I don't seem to be burning that much and I'm eating too many.

I did the Yoga X last night! I completed the whole thing! and I did burn more calories then last time. I guess I was just not putting enough effort the last time.I also did the Ab Ripper.

I so want to lose those extra 10-15 lbs but I am happy with the results I'm getting.My abs definitely look more toned, but still need work. My arms and legs are looking good, so I guess p90x is working.

My hubby's aunt has seen me like 3 times during this 160 lb plateau and keeps telling me that I keep losing weight, so I guess that is good. I haven't lost but they say I definitely look like I have.

Well... I k'm not too sure how much more of this P90X I can do. I'm already subbing in other exercises, and I have to add a LOT more cardio. I have to burn 600 calories a day to get that scale to move! But, I did lose TWO pounds this week! Three more to goto get to my GOAL! YAY!!!
My knee is pretty tweaky... I will have to modify the Legs & Back routine... I don't know... I'll keep "bringing it", I guess... One more week until recovery week. I'll see what happens!

Today is yoga x day and abs. I'll do my best to do the whole workout. I have to wait a bit since I just had lunch. Hope I can finish it before son wakes up from nap!

Hawgwild1- I really envy your strength girl! you are doing an amazing job!

I think I'll be getting heavier weights this weekend. I am doing basically 8lbs and 5lbs for the really had moves, mostly for triceps.

I'm getting 10s and 12s.I know, I know, you are doings 20s! that makes me look like wuss (sp?) lol. I'm slowly getting there

That's OK. I fell a little short doing plyo also. My knee felt a little TWEAKY... So instead of those rock start jumps and hot foot I had to resort to jumping jacks and boxer shuffles.
My knee hasn't acted up for a long time; I've been pretty careful. But, PLYO put it to the test, I guess.
Anyhow, I'm gonna do some cardio (not cardio X) then do Back & Biceps. I'm still sore from doing Chest, Shoulders & Biceps!

CLROSS1-sorry you are stuck in your MIL's house. I don't know the reasons, but hopefully you can get back home soon and start bringing it. Stay positive and the days will go by faster emoticon

Yesterday I was short of my Plyo workout like 10 minutes and short of my ab workout too. I felt tired. I was half way through plyo and I realized I hadn't had dinner and I got hungry. So I ran out of fuel. But I did my best and forgot the rest. I was so busy during the day that I didn't realize the time and that it was time to eat dinner.

Hey Guys I only Have a week left and then I will be home again not only do I plan to start working out again but I plan to catch up with ya'll on all the workouts I have missed. Even if I got to get up at 3 in the morning. I just feel like ya'll went on and I got left behind.

thanks for the advice HAWGWILD....I guess I should do some measurements, its just I'm using all my time working out, measuring, weighing food, cooking, ect i just got discouraged when the scale even went up a few pounds. SO that said, I have not given up and am still bringing it hard and sticking to the diet. My husband and I did take pics (it was a few days after we started but Im sure it wasnt too much different) and we will take some pics after our 4th week. we just started our 3rd week and I do feel stronger in the workouts! Looks like you've come a long way! Great job emoticon

Anyhow, I did Trainer's Edge Cardio Intervals, instead of Cardio X. Then I did Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. emoticon How about those PLYO PUSHUPS! OMG!!!
I'm going to do AbS after Plyo tomorrow, and every second day... instead of doing after strength. I need to work on my abs more as well. This way, I've got a LOT more energy to put into my ab work. I'll still be doing all my ab workouts, just on the alternate days than in the plan.

I think I liked it less than the Yoga X. Maybe because it seemed a bit more slow paced than the Yoga X.

Today Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, ab ripper. I am still a bit sore today. I guess I worked really hard friday & saturday because my legs, butt, arms, back are sore. I do think I need more ab work though. Or its just that my baby pouch is hard to get rid of. lol

I know what you mean about the YOGA. I just can't understand how anyone can ENJOY it. I'm hoping to just hate LESS the Crunch Yoga. Did you like it more or less than Yoga X? At least it's shorter, eh!

Yeah... I don't even like yoga, never mind Yoga X. It's WAY too long!
My scale has hardly moved. But, the scale isn't everything. I started getting suspicious when my clothes were feeling BIG and the scale hadn't BUDGED!
So, out came the tape measure!
I have lost (since starting the P90X program) just over a 1/4 inch around my biceps (flab) 1 inch off my waist and 1 1/2 inches around my hips, and 3/4 of an inch around my thigh.
So... have you done all your measurements? Have you been taking pictures. I took pics before I started, and at the one month mark. And I have definitely sen improvment... although I still have a ways to go before I am THRILLED about what I see. I am not unhappy about the ways things are currently going...

I was wondering if anyone is having problems with the scale and the numbers not going down? I'd figure with all this working out..something would budge...I know muscle weighs more than fat but it would be nice and motivating to see the numbers go down. I do have to say that I do feel better though and have a little bit more energy! YogaX toight...ugh its just too long!!

hey....I have that Crunch Yoga dvd! somehow I have and I don't know why. I think it was my sister's, and somehow got into my stuff. I've never tried it though. You got me curious on that dvd so I might give it a try one of these days, specially if its shorter than YOGAX, I haven't even seen how long the crunch yoga is!

Hi MARIELAMS! It does seem as though we are the only ones here! CLROSS1 occasionally stops in... other than that... just us!
So. I REALLY HATE YOGA X. But I've tried a couple of other yoga routines with different intructors. They are SLIGHTLY more enjoyable. (I still don't like it much) So, what I did was ordered CRUNCH Perfect Yoga Workout. (I heard it was good; Oxygen Magazine) and I like CRUNCH videos (and yes, Tracy York too)
Anyhow, I'm gonna sub in those Yoga workouts... I don't think that will change much as far as progress with the P90X program...
Also, I've already written off Ab Ripper. My abs are pretty strong, and I just don't feel it. So, I'm going to sub in Cathe's Core Max and the other two Ab DVD's I've got; Ab Blast and 8 Minute abs (alternating). But, the OTHER thing I'm gonna do is move the Ab Ripper days to the days where I am doing cardio workouts only. Otherwise, I not only get a little sloppy towards the end of the TWO AND A HALF HOUR workout! But, I'm also looking at the time wondering how I'm gonna have time for a shower before I pick up my child at 11:00 am from Kindergarten (what happenend to the good ol' days where kindergarten lasted ALL DAY!)
So, by swithching the AB workouts to the days I do Plyo, Yoga and Kenpo, I still get them in three days a week, on alternating days, and it EVENS out my schedule better. As well as pacing my endurance a little more efficiently.
Anyways.... I DO GO ON, don't I? LOL!
Anyhow, I did Leslie's 4 mile walk; My own EXTREME version with T3 handweights; burned 423 calories. Then, I did 8 minute abs. Gonna fit some yoga in, later... LOL!
I know what u mean about the "clearing your mind" HA! I found that X-stretch felt really good. I like it MUCH better than Yoga. Maybe I'll do that today instead... HMMM.

Yup, I brought it yesterday with back & biceps and today I'm sore!

I'm glad I get to do Yoga X today, I'm just not glad it's 90 mins long. You see I have a 2 year old, so doing yoga in "clear your mind" state is hard for me. I hope he takes a long nap today so I can get the workout done. I really need the stretching.

Glad you are feeling better Hawgwild! Are we the only ones here?!? what happened to the rest of 1/5/9 team?!?! Let's hope they are just too busy bringing it!

Well... I feel sooo much better today! I did Cardio X; burnrd 343 calories. Then did Back & Biceps, then Ab Blast. Didn't feel as strong as I usually do, but I'm sure that's just from being sick.
Yoga X tomorrow... YUCK! Maybe I'll do something X-tra (no PUN intended. LOL) to make up for my sick days... I'll see how I feel.
Glad your motivation is back, MARIELAMS! Bring it! LOL!

Just take it easy HAWGWILD!

You can always restart the whole week if needed.

I did my plyo last night, I was so tired when I finally got to bed. I happy I made it through the day. But it seems I got my motivation back so that is good. I had been slacking a bit but not any more. I need to bring it!

No Plyo today. Pretty sure I have food poisoning. At least most of the bad cramps have gone away. I hope I'm better for tomorrow.... I'll see how it goes this week, I may end up re-starting this week on Monday again. emoticon

Well... MUCH to my dismay, I was up ALL NIGHT LONG with the RUNS! OMG! I barely got through CardioX! This workout is normally a piece of cake, but today I was almost blubbering like a baby. Not feeling too good. I'm hoping I feel good enought to do the Chest, Shoulders & Triceps later today... but, I doubt it.

I missed my yoga... arrgghh...

but phase 2 starts today!

HAWGWILD1- I was thinking of starting doubles too. But last night my son was sick and up all night and I couldn't get myself to wake up early to do the extra cardio. WE'll see if I can make it tomorrow! I'm so excited!!! new phase!

Good Morning! Yoga today... YUCK!
Well, next week is Phase 2! I'm really pumped. Can't wait.
I haven't lost a single pound; BUT, I have lost an inch around my waist, 1 1/2 inch around my hips, 1/2 inch around my chest, and a 1/4 inch of flab from around my arms and 1/2 inch around my thighs! I'm gonna snap some pics today; although I don't think I have the nerve to actually post them.
OK. Tomorrow is rest day.

I quit counting calories for stretch yoga or any of the strength workouts. I just count calories for cardio (Cardio X, Kenpo X and Plyo)
Gonna do a little cardio, then Core Synergistics.
Can't wait to get into the DOUBLES thing next week!

Did the stretch yesterday too. I hardly burned any calories!!! But I know, I wasn't expected to burn much, but just not that little.
