I am interested in hearing from others what is in store for them in the New Year. It can be fitness related or not.

I'm having a hard time coming up with some goals for 2011 - besides wanting to lose 25 more pounds.

I've had a discouraging first few days of the new year between traveling, not eating the best and not being able to exercise as much as I wanted to while we were away.

I do know that diminishing our debt & boosting our finances needs to be a priority this year. So, now I am faced with how to fit in fitness (that I enjoy) and still focus on using our extra money to pay down some bills.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

Hey everyone!
Just in case someone wonders where I am... I will be out of town for the next couple of weeks. But I will try to return as often as I possibly can.
Remember to keep your goals in the forefront. You may not blow up immediately after biting into that piece of cake... but let's think long term. It is ok to have a treat, but let's not overdo it this holiday season. I wish you all the best season ever!

Long Update warning:

I am joining the 90 day program band wagon with Amanda and some of our Turbo Kick class members, except she is letting me borrow her Chalean Extreme again and she is doing p90x.

Today is the day we are all starting.

Due to the nice snow storm, I can't get to her house to get it, but I did borrow it once before and type out the lifting sequence. So I will follow that today and wrap some present while Mason is at school.

I hope he gets home at a decent time. It is treacherous (sp?) out there right now. I almost didn't send him because the bus was an hour late. Definitely should have been a snow day today.

I just sent in a photo print order for a client.

Since August, I've had about 25 customers come to me for their pictures. Families, Babies, Seniors, Grandparents, whew!!

This is one reason I have not been on here as much, my little business has taken off pretty well.

Still pretty much maintaining just below 200 pounds. Was hoping for 190 by Christmas, but being sick really threw me out of whack in November.

I've been working out still at home, but now I'm going to incorporate some snow shoeing or Turbo Kick Class on the days I do cardio with Chalean Extreme...

Hey Everybody!

I just joined the Break 200 team, currently sitting at 242. But I do have to say down from 274. 200 is a big mark for me, I remember being 195 and thinking I would never have to worry about weighing more that 200. I knew at 274 I couldn't let myself go any further. I've been sitting at this weight for awhile. But I have been slacking off a bit. I want to be under 240 by Jan 1st. That starts me off at a fresh number. Good luck to everyone else!

I REALLY needed that quote today after a not so good weekend that carried over into today. Tomorrow I will do better!! THANKS!
I'm a brave one then ~ I set very specific goals for this season. Now whether I can actually do it, well...........BUT the great news is it WILL keep me from losing focus and going the dreaded "other way"!!

Hi! I joined this team back in October of '09 and left when I got discouraged - figured I wasn't even headed in the right direction and didn't belong! So, I'm on my way now and gonna do it this time. I have a goal of my birthday, March 30th.
I'm just getting over very bad ear infections and hope to get going on the exercise again, which I haven't done in awhile. I need to to make it under 200-I know.

I am in a Biggest Loser contest in my Turbo Kick Class until jan. 6, 2011.

So far, in 2 weeks, I've gained .8 pounds. But I have been sick on and off for a month and am finally getting my energy back!

Tonight's turbo Kick class I burned 700+ calories and was able to do high impact most of the class.

OK, I have been messing around and doing just enough to not gain, but not lose either. 1 lb. in a month just isn't the best rate of losing!! I am going to knuckle down and work this program, and get rid of this excess baggage!!

Hello to each of you -

I'm new to this team and have been MIA from SparkPeople for a while, but once a SparkPerson, always..

I've joined Planet Fitness because my goal is to not only be healthy (my initial goal for joining SP) but to no longer be WEAK - my legs are the worst.. and i'm determined.. i repeat. DETERMINED to be strong enough to run up to the top of the 15 stairs at my daughter's apartment! (Now on most days I manage to drag up them)

I'm at my 198 weight pretty solid all week, but I have been sick. In a way this is bad because once I do start feeling better and getting my appetite back I'll have to re-adjust myself again.

Although, I know I've seen a difference in the eating habits because I normally would eat a big chef salad at the school cafeteria while I'm teaching... with turkey, egg, dressing, lots of veggies, etc. I could not eat the whole thing this week because I felt so full, but I really wanted to eat it all! I WAS hungry, but my stomach said...No more! So I stopped. emoticon

Blah. I had the roughest evening and didn't get a chance to vote. :(

On a bright note, instead of stopping for Mighty Taco in my travel... I grabbed a ham sub from Subway loaded with veggies and no cheese. I also felt AMAZING during my C25K workout and should be ready to move onto week 3 on Thursday instead of repeating the whole week 2!

Hi there,

I'm Mutantqueen. I'm part of the "150 or Bust" team, but I thought it was important to put a closer goal in front of me. I'm at 223 right now. I've lost 30 lbs. I was on track to lose 50 by the end of the year, but the last couple of months have been a bit of a disappointment. I've been working my plan, but have had setback after setback -- some of it my fault, some of it not. I'm ready to move in a forward motion. Breaking 200 seems like a good place to start.

So I want to be active on this Spark Team again. I was active back in Spring, then I lost my Spark. I got my Spark back and have continued to lose weight... but never returned to the team. Hey everyone,
I joined Weight Watchers on Monday and I must say that I enjoy the Sparkpeople Resources much more. However, I believe it is absolutely wonderful having an amount of points that I can eat on Weight Watchers and the accountability is exactly what I needed. So my goal is to give Weight Watchers a solid 3 months, but SP really has a great thing going here!

For those who might not have seen my new blog...I broke 200 pounds today. I weighed in at 199.4 this morning after my shower.

I haven't seen a one in the front of my weight in about 3 years. I'll be more convinced its off for good when I see 180's. I'm feelin' great today...gotta keep goin!

OK,
Thanks for your feedback. At the end of the post I stated that I was going to keep everything under one thread.
But after your feedback, I have gone back in and created separate threads for each of the goals.

Lizzie, I did see that post on the end of year challenges, but I am confused. It says there will be threads to post various things, but where are they? Am I reading it wrong? I liked the ideas and I would participate if I understood it.

I am excited about the cruise, I have never been on one.
Now that the water is getting chilly, we joined an indoor pool to keep up with the lap swimming. That is the best exercise for me now. Just can't seem to lose any weight without it!

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

I went on a cruise for my honeymoon... 10 years ago! Would love to go again. Sooo wonderful!

Hi guys!

I'm still here lingering, checking in to post my exercise.

I've been hanging around the 202 - 205 pounds the last few weeks. I'm hoping taking the Turbo Kick emoticon class 2 days a week and drinking much, much more water emoticon will help me finally break 200. emoticon

Been taking lots of pictures and have more scheduled to do. This photography thing has really taken off! Plus substitute teaching.

It seems every night of the week we've got something, either with exercise or church.

Been raining emoticon 5 days straight here and it is supposed to finally break tomorrow with 5 days straight of sunshine. emoticon

Glad to hear things are going well again Meghan! I've got my first 5k run coming up this weekend. VERY excited. Also, I am down to 196 as of this morning and am leaving those 200's in the DUST.

Hi everyone,
I had sad news this weenend too Patrick.
My (former) mother-in-law passed away Thurs night. Her condition had been such that we expected it to be soon. Still, it is tough to deal with. I have 3 blank days on my tracker, no idea what I ate. My ex and I are on good terms, so I was included in all the proceedings. I feel wrung out today, but back on track and back at work today. emoticon

Meghan, good job on the run, and the weight loss.
My good friend had Gall bladder surgery Friday. She is a Sparker too, I helped her mood lighten up before surgery by asking her to check out how much a gall bladder weighs! Hey, it was a pound!
