Hi everyone. I hope you all are doing great!!!

I have been busy changing my neurologist. But, I think I like my new one. Hopefully, he can fix me so that I don't have daily migraines. I am already a bit on the depressed side half the time and daily headaches do not help. I try to keep myself busy so that I don't keep asking myself "why me?".

I will be trying new medications starting this weekend. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they don't put me to sleep and make me feel better.

I hope everyone will have a great weekend. Remember to make food choices for yourself.

Take care.

Been absent for a while. My MIL died and we've been away.

I was at a doctor's office this morning, reading a magazine while waiting for my appointment. There was a very interesting article about the habits of happy people. Most of the things in the article are pretty much what everyone already knows, but one thing caught my eye. One of the habits of happy people is NOT TO BELIEVE EVERYTHING THEY THINK. We have about 60,000 thought during the day and most of them are negative. Apparently happy people do not believe what they think. I thought that was an interesting thing to pass on. I would love to hear everyone thoughts on this.

I hope you all a very happy day!!!

Karen,
Tell me about it, I lost it went the grandchildren were out of school for the summer but when my oldest daughter and her husband came over we went to long beach and walked alot and Mt St Helens too. But that was in July at the end of the month. Now since school started I'll be doing the booster mile.

Started back up walking after only doing 1walk in 2 weeks of the flue. You lose fitness fast if you stop.

Today everything fell apart. It started out with me getting up late and it ended up with me breaking a candle holder and cutting my middle finger on my right hand.
So I was so glad today is OVER and done with. I sure don't want to go through that again.

Today I went to Bible study and after Bible study I asked my pastor about helping me out. I can pay for the my eye exam but it's the contacts I want him to help me. I only asked for 50 or 60 dollars and I can get the rest of it on my own.
Today I have to see the vampires again for more blood test and I sure hate that. My doctor sill wants to see if my headaches are causes by low calcium and thyroid so that is my blood test today.

Happy September, everyone!!! Can you all believe we survived August? How did we all do in August? Let’s share our accomplishments for August and our goals for September. My biggest accomplishment is that I did not gain any weight. That is a big considering everything I ate during Labor Day weekend. I also stopped serving family style dinners to my family. My husband and kids get only what is on their plates. No seconds or thirds. This is working out great. Nobody is hungry and both my son and husband are loosing weight.

My goal for September is to cook more on the weekends and eat out less. How about you all?

When considering what you need to accomplish in September, SP has some words of advise.

While you work to be a spark for others, don’t forget that your light is only as strong as the fuel you feed it. That means food. Good food. Eating well and eating right keep that flame from dying out. When you’re at the top of your game, your body uses up nutrients as fast as you can put them in. Starving yourself, even for a little while, takes your flame down a notch or two. Deprive your body long enough and the spark could be snuffed out. And without real nutritional value, junk food is just as useless as no food at all. A healthy, balanced diet is like a constant power boost for your goals. Replenish your energy before you wear out, and your fire will burn brighter and brighter every day.
