Maria~ Are you really having 2 Tbsp and not 2 tsp? Here's what the good healthy guidelines say:

"Healthy oils: Having 2 teaspoons of healthy oil each day ensures that you get the vitamin E and essential fatty acids that your body needs. Use the oil on salads, in cooking or as an ingredient in a mixed dish. 2 teaspoons of oil is not even 1 tablespoon, so be careful to measure, since each additional teaspoon counts as another POINTSŪ value of 1."

You only need 2 "tsp" to get your daily oils in each day.

I can't start on nuts or I won't quit. Maybe I will try Bob's ground flaxseed. He has flaxseed in liquid form also.

How about cutting down the flax oil in your smoothie. Cut it back to 1 1/2 Tbsp. I bet you won't notice the difference. After a few days, you might even try cutting it in half. Maybe with a stop at 1 1/3 Tbsp. if you're having trouble cutting it down.

Maria, can you find something else that "keeps you going" to replace the handful of nuts? What about a piece of fruit?

I'm having major problems trying to keep within the recommended range every day (32g-56g).

I have 2 tablespoons of flax oil in my morning smoothie, that's 28g fat before I step outside the door. I know it's one of the HEALTHY oils, but it still bumps up my fat grams. I usually have a handful of nuts at some stage to keep me going, and that's usually another 12g, bringing me up to 40g fat before I eat my lunch or dinner.

Any suggestions???? It's very frustrating!
