I have had mine for several months now and I am not sure I am burning any more calories than walking in other shoes but I do walk more, so I guess that is good.

I find I feel taller because they make me walk more upright.

I got a pair last week and they felt funny for the first day but i love that they give me a little height (i am only 5ft 4 ) and it make my posture better. It has not been long enough to see if they tone well but we will see .
And the good thing is I only paid 15 bucks at walk for them .. they are Danskin Now and on clearance

I know after buying my first pair of toing shoes it took me awhile to get use to walking any real amount of time in them. WHich surprised me because I thought I would just put them on and be able to wear them all day. Surprise, surprise that wasn't the case. So I figure if they can make my muscles hurt after wearing them for a long time they must be working some kind of muscles.

i just bought a pair of the shape ups after stealing my dad's pair for my evening walk earlier in the week. i don't know about toning anything up or giving me an extra work out i have only worn them twice now, the aforementioned 3 mile walk and tonight running all around a church, going up and down stairs and such, playing a hide and seek like game. i have to say that in both cases the one thing i really notice is my feet, ankles and knees don't hurt like they normally would and my calf muscles didn't seem to get all tight and stuff like they would either. i'm really loving them so far and can't wait to see what they do for me long term

Sometimes you can take a good thing a bit to far. Good to know about the shoes Avon carry.

Avon actually carries the best tonihg shoes I've tried to date. And they run about $40 or so. They do tone my legs, but are a little heavier and so I burn a little more energy when I wear them. Just don't ride them horseback riding. LOL! The dismount is ever so graceful!

I did pickup a pair a couple of months ago. It took me a few days to adjust to them but love them now. I am finding that they are helping with my bad knee.

On the advice of a friend I got a pair of the original MBTs. I messed up my Achilles tendons several years ago and have to be very careful of the shoes I wear. The MBTs helped my ankles stop swelling and I've had not trouble with my Achilles tendons since I started wearing them a year ago. Oh, and my ham-hocks are not quite so flabby anymore!

I got a pair of the ShapeUps recently, and I especially like how they help my posture and legs too. They don't really advertise it, but my back hurt from working and I'd already decided to take two meds for it; then I put the shoes on and stood up, and the pain Went Away! I never did take the meds, that day. emoticon emoticon

I have had the Reebok Easytones for about 4 months, and they HAVE made a difference in toning my glutes...I feel much more of a burn back there during my walks, it was a very pronounced but pleasant burn at first lol I LOVE THEM!!!

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new toning shoes? What you think of them and which ones you think are worth the money or not?
