That's good. Cincinnati State is a good school- they care more about their students than UC. One class to check out if you're walking by at the right time (aka meal time) is Nutritional Cooking taught by Chef Huller. That was actually my favorite class at MCI- our prof was challenging and smart and helped us learn, and the the things we cooked were really yummy. If you wander by at the right time, you might get invited in for lunch! They also offer various kinds of cooking classes for non-culinary students/outside public.

Congratulations on starting at Cstate! I am a proud alumnus of Cstate/Midwest Culinary. Graduated in 2008 with my AAB in Culinary Arts Technology. I was always intimidated by the rec center there because I was very much in the minority of the rec center users at the time. More power to you! The campus dynamic changed for the better a year or so before my graduation. I have my BS from UC's Culinology program as well. I am periodically back at Cstate for events sometimes. :)

So I've finally bitten the bullet and started actually USING the gym at school (I started the the RN program at Cincinnati State over the summer), and I noticed something - it's NOT all jocks and jockettes! I've seen a number of folks just like me - non-traditional (aka older) men and women who aren't perfect and are obviously working to improve their health and fitness! That has REALLY helped me make it there three times a week - I used to be intimidated, but now I'm inspired!
So I was wondering if there are any other Sparkpeople on campus? Represent!
Call me Euphrates (no really - I prefer it to my given name of Lisa, and use it everywhere outside of work) Cincinnati, OH
