Good to know that the chocolate is OK to ship. Wouldn't want to deny anyone chocolate. Mmmmm....one of my weaknesses.

Thanks Max!

Chocolate can be shipped too. The temps are falling over there so the chocolate will not melt. My sister actually sent some bars a couple months ago and they were fine.

It takes about 11-13 days to ship it to Iraq. So probably no later than Dec. 12.

Elaine,

Is there a cutoff date for mailing so they reach the troops by Christmas?

My sister is stressing out a little bit over this. She wants to make sure enough cookies will be going out to the troops. So I thought I would send this along to spread the word.....

My brother-in-law is over in Iraq right now as well as some other friends of ours. (Plus our neighbor Ben!) My sister is having a cookie extravaganza to send cookies to the troops for Christmas. We have also collected letters from various schools to brighten the troops Christmas!

If you would like to send out cookies to the soldiers here is the address below:

Cookie Extravaganza
34th ID, Unit 117
APO, AE 09374

Large flat rate boxes (free from the post office) cost $11.95 to send.

Colorings from kids or letters are also very welcomed. The soldiers love reading letters from home and seeing something from a child makes it extra special! Brighten a soldiers Christmas this year!!!!

If you have any questions about this, please let me know!

Elaine
