Last year I started eating breakfast every day. Lately I've been eating a smoothie w/ fruit, yogurt and flax seed mixed in. When I'm feeling especially hungry I scramble an egg and put it on a piece of toast w/ a slice of pepper jack cheese. Mmmm.

Weekends are my downfall. My husband LOVES breakfast but he likes things like eggs benedict, potato & sausage skillits, and biscuits & gravy. I'm not very good at tracking my calories on the weekends and I think thats why, I don't WANT to know.

an egg, with roasted red pepper and a couple tablespoons of feta = 125 cals.
Also a bran flake junkie with blueberries(vanilla fat free soy milk) but with the price of BB now that's a luxury.

The thyroid meds I take require me to wait an hour after taking my medication before I can eat. So sometimes I take my meds and then wait and then forget to eat breakfast because I'm engrossed in other morning activities. I'm trying to get better though.

The usual breakfast in our house is gluten-free pancakes and a 1/2 cup of yogurt. Or it may be scrambled eggs and a 1/2 cup of yogurt. I love Yo+ Blackberry & Pomegranate yogurt. Sometimes I have that for breakfast but most of the time I save it for my evening dessert.

I guess I eat 2 breakfasts too -- though my second one (around 10:30) is usually something I've stolen from my lunch, or an energy bar.

I eat breakfast twice everyday!

A protein shake when I wake up and about 2-3 hours later I have some fruit and an english muffin or egg whites and a piece of toast.

YUM!

I eat two breakfasts, like a hobbit, emoticon my kids say. I am not usually hungry in the mornings, so when I am preparing my kids' lunches, I might have a serving of fruit or a piece of toast.

Later, around 10:30, when I am hungry, my favorite breakfast is steel cut oats. I have discovered that you do not need to cook steel cut oats or even rolled oats. The result is a chewy, rather than creamy bowl of oats, but I love it.

I use 1/4 cup of steel cut oats or 1/2 cup of rolled oats and add 1/2 cup of soy milk and two tablespoons of dried fruit (craisins, raisins, blueberries), and put it in the fridge. Then I just grab it in the morning, heat it for one minute in the microwave, and enjoy.

I'm never hungry when I wake up, but am when I get to work :)

I usually make Kashi Instant Oatmeal (high fiber high protein) & a fruit, but switch it up when I need a change. I also like Quaker Oatmeal-on-the-Go High Fiber, and the Lean Pocket breakfast sandwiches. However, my favorite breakfast is a chocolate croissant emoticon (which I now eat maybe once each season). Trader Joe's has some you can make at home...yum.

I make up hearty oatmeal days in advance. I mix the oatmeal with cooked egg whites whipped up with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and splenda. It forms a delicious custard. Mixed with the oatmeal it is good warm or cold. I put strawberries on top. It is in my frig and I grab it to go to work. The egg whites provide a great protein, and with the oatmeal it sticks with you so you aren't hungry for hours.

Listen to your heart, it gives you insight.

I'm never "hungry for" breakfast, but I always eat something -- usually a bowl of "healthy" cereal (Kashi, FiberOne, etc.) or oatmeal. My little boy has been liking scrambled eggs lately so I've been making those too.

Yep I normally eat breakfast. I love, love, love soy berry smoothies. Generally if its on the fly I eat frosted mini-wheats or oatmeal. I also love to take hard-boiled eggs

Be the person you see yourself as. Take back you, and love yourself all the way to healthy.

Honestly, I always eat breakfast, and always have. Mostly because I always wake up feeling like I'm starving.

Usually in the past, it was cereal, but now I alternate the healthiest cereals I can find - Kashi GoLean Crunch for one - with a Lean Pocket containing eggs, bacon, and cheese. I'm working up to being consistent about adding fruit to breakfast - either in cold cereal or oatmeal, or as a smoothie, or at the least, a glass of orange juice.

Gradual changes - hopefully the best way to make things stick!

Your mother probably told you to eat a healthy breakfast, saying it was the most important meal of the day. Turns out she was right according to the Nemours Foundation. It offers these suggestions on how to refuel and begin your day:

*Keep your kitchen full of healthy, quick and easy breakfast choices.
*If morning time is at a premium, try to prepare for breakfast the night before. Set out dishes, prepare and cut up food, etc.
*Wake up 10 minutes earlier than usual to allow time for breakfast.
*Have on-the-go breakfast options ready for mornings when you're running late, including fresh fruit, yogurt, trail mix, and individual boxes of cereal.

emoticon This week's challenge is to eat breakfast every day. Try not to skip.
