I am not sure yet Jo
Ok yesterday, Wayne and I decided we would go to church, we checked the website and Church started at 11am we had not attended this church before, so of we went, we were a few minutes late, but we still went as we sat down they were praying, the speaker finished hif prayer by go out in the world. That is when we realised that we had come in the end of the church service, not the beginning. They had not updated their website for Easter, did we feel silly, but it made for an interesting morning, we then had a wonderful brunch.
Did everyone else have a wonderful Easter

Yeah, that snow you guys got just barely clipped us. How are the roads? I know it's been a few weeks since the flash-freeze storm, but I've been wondering about the flooding. Flood watch is going on here too, especially since the Saint John River is known to be a big bloated pig at this time of year. Are you near a flood zone?

The vest we had bought for my sister doesn't fit. *sigh* If she has time, she'll try getting a larger one today, before coming up tomorrow. I hope TipTop Tailors carries it in just a little bit bigger size. That also tells me my sister and I are the SAME size, because I tried it on before I bought it and I couldn't close it up either. We've never been the same size, because she was the skinny one in the family when we grew up. That kinda blew me away. If TTT doesn't carry larger, then we'll have to go to the Mr. Big & Tall store, unless she has another idea. Vests are nearly impossible to find in women's clothing stores, and as someone who hates wearing dresses and nylons, I'm a little insulted at that, because it means I can't find a really good business suit with a vest. So, that hunt is still on.

When do you find out when the next "stage" will be?

Jo

Yes Jo it was diagnosed by ultrasound, I am just waiting on the next stage which I hope is surgery.
The wedding plans seem to be moving along nicely, nice to hear the snowbanks are shrinking, our snowbanks are slowly shrinking also but got more snow this morning, I just shake my head.
Have a great day

Anjay, were tests done or something like that to narrow down what you have? I just googled it, and it sounds like a nerve compression condition. Are they considering surgery or have you already had that done?

Well, 3 weeks from today, we'll be on our way to Mexico for our honeymoon. I can't wait. :-D The last few weeks have been busy, and the next 2 1/2 are going to speed by. I've decided to take the week before the wedding off, just so I'm not overwhelmed. And to think I had originally thought to work right up to the Friday before the wedding *rolling eyes*. My biggest hurdle now is to get the paper invitations out. I've sent many electronic copies, but there are some family & friends who are not online. I'm hoping I still have at work the addresses file I made a few years ago; otherwise, I need to email to myself tonight.. We also have our 5-room minimum booked at the Ramada, so we get the better rate for the day for everything.

In between all that, our yearly performance evaluations are this & next week. Since I'm out of office for the last 3 weeks of April, mine will be completed next week. It should be ok -- I've managed to stay out of the HR chair all year. :-P It's not that bad, really, although there are some techs who are just a little too crude to be talking to Ministers and Deputy Ministers. ;-)

The snowbanks are finally starting to shrink.... and my driveway is a big muck road. Well, so is my street! Our dirt road is always difficult to drive at this time of year, because the surface dirt is so muddy and soft. I have a permanent sheen of mud on my truck... permanent until sometime in May. As soon as the ground dries up enough, DOT can come by with the grader and scrape our road so there are a lot less bumps.

We're doing ok. We had a little more snow last night, too, but it seems to have melted off the roofs & roads. My Gal's son left this morning on the bus to meet his GF in Moncton, so they could both head to Charlottetown before any more snow kept them stranded on the mainland. Their March Break is over on Monday, so they can't really afford to take extra time off. It was disappointing to see them leave so early, but in their shoes, I would have done the same.

How are you handling the time change? I think it's finally caught up to me this week. My eyelids have been heavy, even during the daytime -- and I'm a day person. I really need to nap this weekend, or I'll be mood-swinging all next week.

Wedding plans are coming together, and we've had so many updates in the last week that I can't even remember who knows what. :-) Things we have left include booking the mini van for the night, getting a driver for the night, paying the photog & decorator & DJ that night, buying & making the cakes (son & GF are doing those), getting the vests for our witnesses (having a hard time finding ones that will fit right), bottling the home-made wine, at the very least. Oh, and the paper invitations. I'll be working on those tonight.

And I can almost see my dirt driveway. :-D

So we're shovelled & plowed out of that "snow event", and there's another one coming in a few hours. I thought I heard NS is getting the brunt of it this time. I hope we are almost out of the 10+cm snow days, or I have to shovel back the snowbanks so Mr. Plow can keep plowing.

*peeking out over the snowbanks*

Ok, I'm here. Barely, but here. Snowbanks are already higher than they were this time last year.

Yeah, I'm hoping things slow down just a bit so I can enjoy the rest of the planning for the wedding. I keep hoping. :-D

Hi Jo, hopefully life will settle down soon and you can enjoy the run up to the wedding, it may also be winter that is dragging you down.
It has been a tough week for me also, with the medication I am on and our youngest son who is 24 is having some problems with a teacher at college, he is such a different young man in how he thinks and although 24 he is so much younger.
Have a great day

I think I'm experiencing mood swings this week, well, since Sunday anyway. I'm thinking it's the time change, and my anti-anxiety pills aren't helping today. Hopefully this won't last long.

Yeah, we've got a lot sorted out for the wedding. Got the DJ, photog & decorator at the hall on Sunday, then to the Ramada where the wedding will be held, so everyone could get an idea of what they need to do that day. Invitations are almost done; I think we'll go to something like Staples or the local Basics store to print them out. I don't have a colour printer at home, and I'm leery of printing it at work. We're not getting a lot of printed invitations -- the wedding guests each get one (20-ish) and only those we don't have email addresses for will also get a paper copy (20-30). The rest of our reception guests will get a PDF file that they can print off themselves if they want one. DJ brought the price down to $200 for the night, and a local merchant offered to lend me the metal archway he has in his store, as a wedding gift. That's good, because the decorator is what will cost us the most, after the rings.

It's hard to not feel overwhelmed these days. Between the wedding & honeymoon, the shoveling and the regular housework, some days I can't do anything because I'm overwhelmed.

Other than that, life is ok. How about you?

Jo

Hi everyone,

Today isn't so bad, despite chipping ice chunks for a half hour last night. We're making headway in the driveway, making more room for more snow.

Wedding plans are coming along nicely. Photographer and decorator are booked, and trying to get them to the dance hall on Sunday for a viewing. The dog has been booked at the doggie hotel for 12 days, and I'm still waiting to hear back from the cab company. We still haven't found leather vests, and they're hard to find in Fredericton and Moncton on a Sunday. (Apparently a lot of local businesses do close on Sundays... imagine that. :-D) We paid off our honeymoon on Monday, and the rings will be paid off next week, I think. We've ordered 2 wine kits and they've arrived, so we're probably starting that process this weekend. We gave the material to our seamstress to make the ties, and once we've found vests, then we'll bring those to her to alter as well. We have a draft of the paper invitation, but I'm not satisfied with the look of it yet. That, and I'm still trying to figure out how to write "pay for your own meal" in a gracious way. So far, I'm empty handed.

Anjay, with the temps warming up a bit, are you finding any flooding yet? In Fredericton, I can see it starting in early April, and peaking about early May. I expect this year to be slightly worse than last year for damages -- and hoping that another covered bridge won't be destroyed by the ice jams. As for home, I'll have to start getting things off the dirt floor, because I'm quite sure the outdoor carpeting we have in there will be soaked soon enough.

Anjay, did you get snow yesterday? NB did, and Fredericton got way more than the 15cm forecasted. Mind you, it was fluffy snow, but the dog disappeared up to his snout to go for a pee yesterday.

Time is flying by too quickly again, and I really have to get working on the wedding invitations, and other arrangements like photographer, DJ, and a cab company. I was hoping to book a limo for the evening, to run between the community centre and the hotel, so that drinking guests wouldn't be tempted to drive back to the city, but I'm not sure we can afford it. Just shy of $700 for 4 hours. So I'll call the cab companies and see if there is a deal that we can make.

I think I've shoveled every day this week, which adds to the fitness minutes I've been getting. I'm not sure how much I'll get done this weekend, since there are 3 other things we're doing for the wedding, and we're not sure how long that will take.

Apparently clocks go forward NEXT Sunday. And here's me trying not to complain about being so tired already:

um...
oh...
*harumph*

:-)

Mexico... Mexico... Mexico....

At least yesterday wasn't over 15cm here. :-D I heard about CTV putting up the wrong Thursday weather video by Cindy Day, making people panic. I am SO glad it was the wrong one.

Made a trip to Marks', and found some stuff I can use now... and a pair of WINTER steel-toe boots... in women's sizes!! My feet are size 7, and it's hard to find a fitting boot in the men's section. Those boots were nearly $200, but I'll save a bit every month towards them, and come late fall, I should be able to afford them. I had to tell the clerk to ignore the drool on the box. :-D

Oh yeah... and we got the community centre we wanted to rent!!

Jo

Sorry to hear about your fingers Jo cold fingers and cramping is not nice, there are a lot of natural products out for so lets hope you can find something to help you. There seems to be a problem in loading the link you gave.
Keeping warm is a problem I think for everyone just now, our house is not insulated, we are renovating slowly, but the woodstove which is 2 years old just cannot keep up as the ceilings are not insulated, hopefully over summer we will get ceilings insulated :-)

Being warm is relative these days. :-P I'm desperately trying to keep my fingers warm, since they're already sensitive to cold temps, as in I don't feel them for very long, and then frostbite can set in. Marks' Work Wearhouse has no more winter gloves or mittens, they're all sold out.

And to think Fredericton didn't get the worst of it. My sister's video of a plow needing to take several running starts to plow past their house has gone viral. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v
=1
0155176137195471&pnref=story
is where you can find it. I used to live in that neighbourhood, and the house we grew up in is down the road about 2 blocks away. It's been a long time since I've seen it that bad back home.

On our end, we got a lot, but not enough to stop the XTerra with studded winter tires and 4WD Low from getting out of the gate. :-D Our Mr. Plow came by yesterday afternoon and got quite a bit done.... but he's running out of room to push the snow. I might need to call in a favour or few to get a loader to come out and move the snow further.

My knuckles haven't hurt this much in a long, long time. I'm trying not to apply ointments like Voltaren, but it's getting worse. Last night, I couldn't hold a piece of plastic away because my hand cramped up. I had never experienced that kind of pain before. I'm starting to think arthritis is setting in, or starting to, and I don't think it's osteo. Dad's family often suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, so next time I see the doctor, I need to ask her about tests for that. I would rather know and find more natural treatments for it than not to know.

Hello everyone on Sunday they were calling for 2-5 "s we got nearly 2ft of snow and high winds low temperatures and drifting snow, the boys cleared over 4ft of snow from our drive way on Sunday, they had to hand shovel so took turns clearing driveway, this morning there is about another 1ft in driveway, hubby went to work this morning but college is closed so Janos` is home. We are still -15 but the wind chill makes it a lot colder. The meds I take once a week make me feel terrible but I will get through it.
Hoping everyone is warm we are

Just a quick note...

We are going to see the centre on tuesday after work. We booked the Ramada. 5 rooms, banquet room with private access to buffet, civil officiant is lined up, seamstress can sew our vests & ties. :-) Snowmaggedon continues, shoved snow enough to keep steps clear. Spirits are high, good thing, because I haven't looked at the snowbanks lately. I can barely see the gate to the road, though plow has been by.

Jo you are doing amazing keep up the great work, I think everyone struggles with chocolate, fortunately I am not one of these people I only like dark chocolate and because of not being able to have soy I only have a few that I can enjoy, so never buy for me, but if its bought for me well I have to eat it before it goes off emoticon
Physio is tonight so we will see what happens.
Have a great evening

Hi,

Oh boy.... this streak to post to at least one of my teams daily isn't making any headway. I'm trying, but I think a lot of my introverted ways are creeping in, and making me hesitate in posting.

*slaps the hesitation away*

There. :-D

Anjay, thanks for sharing about TB, and I'm glad to hear you were cleared for the biological therapy. Therapy, regardless of the type and duration, can be frustrating, so having a person who is willing to listen to your rants about the situation is crucial to your sanity. Having said that, you can post here when you feel like venting. I promise, we won't kick you out. :-D No need to apologize if you're scared or unsure or just plain old P.O.'ed. You mentioned that you were able to move your head & neck much easier recently. Nice job!! How did your physio go?

Sherri-Lee, welcome! I'm sorry I missed your first post and your entry to the team, but I'm thrilled to have you join us.

So... wedding plans for this widow are under way. My Gal & I are now looking at community centres near the Ramada (where we want to have the ceremony & dinner with the family), something that isn't far and that would be hard to miss. I'm still hoping we can hold the reception nearby, because I feel so strongly in supporting the businesses on the side of the river where we live.

Honeymoon in Mexico plans are solid, and we have about half the trip left to pay before next month. Our passports arrived in the last couple weeks, so that's done. And a friend has even offered her hard-case luggage for our trip. Awww.... I have such awesome friends. :-)

I now consider SNOW a 4-letter bad word. :-P Good golly, where am I going to put the rest of it this season?! The snowbanks in the yard are halfway up the side of the house, and some windows are completely covered up. This feels an awful lot like last year's winter, and I didn't know where to shove all that snow then, either. At least our Mr. Plow was able to fix his truck enough to get us out after the last storm, and he even borrowed a loader to push some of the snow further back into the back yard. There's a spot in front of the house where we park the car (truck goes in a different spot) that she & I need to clean up, so we can park there safely. I've already snowraked some of the garage roof, and hopefully soon, we'll get the jack posts put up in the back of the garage, the section where the roof is slowly caving in. Yeah, we have to build a new garage soon, too.

How are your 2015 goals going so far? I've not been doing Shred because the office gym floor is freezing! A thermometer read 12C one day on the floor. Nope, not gonna do push-ups or crunches on the floor with that temp. One of the ladies in the gym bought a mega pack of Walk Away The Pounds videos, was kind enough to bring them in for use, and we found one that works me out nearly as intensely as Shred. I call it the "Wannabe Shred Walking Video". It's making a bit of a difference, and because there are now 5 different 1/2 hr walking videos in the gym, my workouts shouldn't get stale anytime soon. I'm still and again struggling with chocolate. Being tired these days isn't helping, and sometimes I give in, but I always get a new chance the next day to not choose chocolate. My goal is to be just below 180lbs before the wedding, and depending on the day, that's 3-6lbs I want to lose by mid-April. It's not a lot, but it's been a really hard go since my husband passed away just over 2 years ago. (This past fall, I managed to lose 12-15lbs, and managed to stay out of the 200's.)

Well ladies I have a physio assessment on Monday and for once I am looking forward to it, we have been working hard with my neck since August it has been a painfully journey, but today as I did my neck exercises in the shower, don't ask my hubby thinks it funny, but they are not so painful in the shower. I noticed a big difference I notice the range of movement now and when I turn my head to the right I can get it to where I can see my shoulder yeah, my left not so much, but that is ok. My pain is roughly a 4, I never thought I would have so little pain in my neck, Monday is the day we decide if we push for more or if we leave it where it is and keep up the maintenance. I think she will be very happy.
Ok off to layer up as I am going to a friends for coffee and it is - 17.7

Feeling a little more settled my hubby has sai to the second part of treatment as we are only covered for a set amount which would leave us paying $340 a month on top of the first drug, where they expect you to come up wih money like that I dont know, so will call doctor in a little while I feel the first drug would be a start in the right direction and when we can down the road if I need the other treatment we can do it then.
Wishing everyone a great day

The first part of the treatment, the drug is called Methotrexate, in high does it is used as a chemo drug in low doses it is used to treat inflammation. Either way it is not a nice drug, I am only going to take it once a week so feel a little better as it is only 10mg, the 2nd part of the treatment I have not been approved for coverage and at $1700 for one IV infusion there is no way I can afford that, so she is working on something else. I have agreed to a 3month treatment plan and review everything at that 3 month period, I will also have monthly blood work carried out. Today is day 1 on an anti-inflammatory diet plan I have been on this plan before, just this time I do not need to count IF ratings. After 3 months I am hoping if it has worked my naturopath maybe able to step in with something more natural and less harmful to my body. So with lots of prayers and trust in God I will go forward with this treatment plan. Thank you for your hugs and prayers

I have faith that you can get through this. I will pray for you to have the strength to kick the inflammation's butt. You have a lot of friends here that are wishing you the best and praying for you. Some may not respond because they do not know what to say. I am one of those shy people that do not always have the right words, but I just wanted you to know that people are here and care about what you are going through.

I may not understand what you are going through, but I know how I would feel. There is no need to feel sorry about being stressed and upset. I think anyone who is your position would be stressed and upset. Please know that you are not alone. We are all here rooting for you to get better, and get better soon.

I am bolth worried and scared and not sure what to do I know I need the treatment as 91% inflammation is good news especially in my lungs, it has a 30% chance of working, but the 1st part of the treatment is a drug if used in high doses is used as a chemo drug in low doses it is used to help treat and control inflammation but there is so many risks and side effects that it scares me, I am such a natural person, talked to my naturopath and she suggests a 3month trial, then she will give me something more natural to treat the inflammation, but she says at moment it needs a kick in the seat of the pants and that means prescription medication. The second part of treatment is the IV infusions and we wont even go there.
Am sorry friends I am so stressed and upset by all this.

ANJAYS-JOURNEY, we can always use a friend who will listen and try to understand what we are going through. I have a friend that I can rant to and overreact with. She does the same with me. We know that we are safe with each other and it goes no farther. We all need that friend who can support us. Good luck with your treatment.

Six inches of snow? My drifts are up to my thighs at the end of my driveway. A guy plowing a driveway across the street felt sorry for me and my little shovel and finished my driveway for me. lol He told me that his shovel was bigger. Yes, he had a plow. Apparently getting more this weekend. Stay safe!

Good morning we seemed to have escaped the wrath of the storm and only got about 6 "s of snow. Well ladies as I start this treatment for the inflammation, I get a real sinking feeling that once I am on this medication, I am not going to get off it am so scared about it, But I start the first part of the treatment on Saturday or Sunday my chosing. So I guess we will see where it leads, then after 6 weeks of treatment I visit the doctor again, my friend suggested I emailed here and let her know my fears and concerns but I dont know,
Take care everyone

Anjay... TB? Really?? I don't mean to sound ignorant, but I guess I don't know enough about you to know why TB is a concern.

On my side, wedding plans are coming along. The original venue we wanted doesn't allow dances, and it's already the end of the day and I forgot to call a different hotel. I had hoped to get a few Winter Projects done this year, but it's looking like wedding planning is taking over.

Remember to cover exposed skin, including hands & nose, in this really cold weather.

Way to go on filing your 2013 taxes, hopefully you will get a refund.
My treatments start when we finally have the TB thing sorted out, I am being retested for TB as the last test showed positive and too much inflammation in the lungs to tell.
Hope you are having a great weekend

That stinks about the specialist's visit. When do you start the treatments?

Yesterday we went to the Passport Office in Fredericton. The agent we got was really good, even when she told us that My Gal is missing some proof of surname changes. Apparently it's a new regulation, so new in fact that all the forms in Service Canada and postal outlets don't have them yet. And nothing on paper to tell us about it. I filed a formal complaint against Passport Canada. I'm almost sure it's illegal to enforce a new regulation if the older hard copies have not been destroyed, or at least replaced with new ones.

Oh yeah... I finally submitted my income taxes.... for 2013. I am such a procrastinator. :-P

Congrats Jo so happy for you, well my specialist appointment did not go well he has decided it was not a mechanical problem , so I have reluctantly agreed to biological therapy which is adminstered by IV, if we can reduce the inflammation it may help with the pain there is a 30% chance it will work so we see how that goes.
But planning a wedding sounds like so much fun, and Mexico wow sounds like good times ahead.
Have a great day

Well, so much for my daily posting streak. :-P I'm still working on it, though.

Anjay, today is when you see the ortho specialist? I hope the bone fusion is what s/he chooses as a course of remedy.

Did you have a good Christmas? Mine was really good, and a lot busier than I had planned. My Gal proposed to me on Christmas, and we're getting married in mid-April, followed by a week in Mexico. This will be my very first time going that far for a vacation, and all-inclusive sounds like fun. And I've got butterflies in my stomach from the excitement. :-) My Gal's son & GF were visiting over the holidays, which made for a much more enjoyable time, since My Gal had to work every day over the holidays. I also got food poisoning from leftover mussels. I didn't see that one coming at all. So a day of upchucking followed by a day of liquids only and one whole noodle from the chicken noodle soup My Gal made, and I felt better. But that didn't bring back my appetite, and later in the week, when I caught the big cold (chest & sinus), I was ok that I wasn't super-hungry all the time. My appetite only returned late last week. So the upside of the low appetite is that I didn't gain any weight over the holidays.... I think that's the first time ever.

So in the coming months, I'll be busy with wedding preparations. It will be a civil ceremony and not a religious one (we've both been there before and don't really want that), and we're hoping this will be one way to beat the winter blues. We're also planning to have the whole thing in one place -- at a hotel. Because it's a civil ceremony, we will have the ceremony at the hotel, in a private dining area with the family. After the ceremony, we will have supper (we're hoping to get a hotel that serves buffet on Saturday evenings), and then down the hall, the party will be in a reception room at the hotel. We have a lot of family & friends coming from away, so having everything in one location makes it a lot easier for everyone to enjoy our day, and if enough people want to book a room, I can secure a better price.

So, yeah... I've been a little busy. :-D

Hi everyone, Wayne and I had a nice weekend, Saturday night was his dinner and dance Christmas function with his work, we went to the social and the meal, but did not stay for the dance. Then yesterday I finished the first roman shade for the sitting room next will be the curtains. Today I have baked some cinnamon pinwheel cookies. Now relaxing for a while. Hope everyone has a great day

Yesterday was a better day, I have started to quilt again and even have went to a couple of classes, I am making Christmas hexagon placemats and a table runner I have 2 placemats to topstitch and the appliques to stitch onto the runner, then I am finished.
Tonight we are going Christmas shopping, I am trying so hard no to panic, but spending money scares me so much at the moment. Wayne got the news he will not be laid off this year. But it doesn't seem real to me, I am trying to pray about it, but winter lay-offs have become the norm for us, him not being laid-off will really give us the opportunity to get ahead a little.
Well ladies I wish you all a wonderful day.

Good morning everyone,I am slowly getting back to me but have a long way to go, so will continue to pop in when I can. We are slowly getting to the bottom of all this extra pain, we had the results of my mri for my wrist, my ulnar bone has turned around as there are no ligaments to hold the bone in place, hence the extra pain in wrist they feel the pain has trapped the ulnar nerve which also explains extra pain in shoulder, so now waiting to see an ortho surgeon, I am not afraid but happy as I pray that the only option is bone fusion. Which hopefully would mean less pain and no brace.

Well everyone have a wonderful Monday and I will try to say hi tomorrow

Hi Anjay! I'm so glad you're still able to come in semi-regularly on the team. Sometimes I feel like I have nothing new to say and don't post, but that's a sorry excuse for not posting on my teams. :-) So I'm going to try a new streak, starting today.

I will post at least once a day to all the teams I chatter with the most, regardless of the drivel I might have left to share. :-P

Good to hear you went for supper a little while back. You also mentioned you're struggling a lot these days. Which part of healthy living makes you struggle the most?

No-Post-Halloween Candy project went well! I didn't buy any candy after Halloween, and other than Nov 1 (since I still had chocolate bars for Halloween, my biggest downfall), I've been doing ok.

My week is going ok, even though I don't feel like it is. Anticipating the Lossiversary of my late husband's death is always harder than the date itself. The actual date is the 12th, but his passing happened on a Thursday night/Friday morning. I'm going to be good and nice to myself by not coming into work tomorrow and Friday -- I already know I'll be a basket case if I come in. I'll be alone both days during the daytime, and probably all day on Friday. I haven't decided what I'll be doing while alone, since My Gal will be working during those times. I may simply take the time to reflect, and if I'm even a little motivated, get some yardwork done too.

Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving?

PEI went well, even if it was sleep-deprived. :-P It was a good day, and we even made it back to Fredericton in time to play Radio Bingo at 8pm. :-D The kids are doing well, but the cats are still adjusting -- one of them is peeing EVERYWHERE. LOL In the coming weeks, My Gal's son is going to find new homes for 3 of the cats, because having 6 of them is just a lot of hard work.

We're also trying to get the yard ready for winter. We still have a few things to do before the S-word, but we're not far from it. I'm also making plans to clear out 2 rooms in the house this winter, because this cluttering/hoarding thing has got to stop. While it's normal to want to keep all the things My Guy had, they're all over the place and it's preventing me from being able to find things in the house.

This week, My Gal & I are giving the Suzanne Somers' diet another go. Somersizing is a lower-carb food-combining eating plan, and when I was on it at the very beginning of my weight loss journey, I lost 60lbs without exercising. I'm hopeful we both will see great results like these soon. I'm going to miss eggs with toast, although I've decided we will have ONE cheat day, and the cheats can't be so far out of control that we can't come back to normal eating again. So, no eating just chocolate on that day. :-P

What's new with you?

Jo

Yeah, I'm hoping for that too. She has this week off, since she worked so much in the last 2 weeks, these are her "weekend" days. Tomorrow we're going to PEI to bring her son to Charlottetown for the Culinary Arts program, 2nd year. Tonight is going to be a long one, and tomorrow is going to slip by too quickly.

Not much going on today, other than work & getting ready for another road trip to PEI. Well, that, and I'm a little frustrated today, and it's not weight-related.

Earlier this summer, My Gal & I made financial plans and budgets so that she could take 2 full weekends off per month, between her 2 jobs. This weekend was supposed to be the 2nd one, but now, all that changes until at least the end of October, and I'm not happy at all.

On her first job, where she's manager, her assistant manager is going on medical leave for a month after Friday. That means My Gal has to work every day at the store until either someone else can do the paperwork, or she hires someone else. The assistant manager is a great person, but she's sick, and getting a CAT-scan done on her liver. You know that's never good. I honestly don't believe she will be back at the end of October, and I hope I'm wrong. My Gal is going to "borrow" staff from 3 other stores, but to do that, she has to set it up, and there's no guarantee this will work out. And none of this can happen until the end of this week.

On her second job, the guy who's switching weekends for her has conveniently backed out of the one weekend a year she truly wanted off -- the lossiversary of My Guy. I wanted her home all weekend; now I'll be lucky to get her to myself on Sunday night, and Monday, she goes back to Job #1. There is truly no one else I want to spend that day with, so I'm quite upset with how that weekend is shaping up.

My September goals have almost been met -- I only missed one day for tracking 2 meals 3x/week. At least that gives me an idea of what my goals can be for October.

I hope you're doing better than I am today.

Jo

Well, it's been a while, but I think we have the Aliant phone line figured out. I've unplugged the Bell expressVu satellite dish, and the problem seems to have gone away. It's possible that the receiver was sending out a feedback during a brown- or black-out, and my phone was getting shorted out. I'll know in a couple months when the rains start before the cold weather sets in.

Anjay, struggling with pain is not easy. Plastering a fake smile is not a fix, and doesn't get you very far. I'm going through some of that myself, except my pain is anxiety, where yours is in the body itself. I only ask that you promise to never give up, even if you want to. I'm doing my best to do the same, and to show up to the activities I am expected to do.
