I am very blessed. The company I work for is matching each employee's donation for earthquake relief in Haiti. That doubles my contribution and provides more assistance.
With fewer than 100 people, we raised $1200!

I to will be praying for all the people in Haiti.I also want to warn everyone to make sure they are donating to someone or church that they know is legitimate .There are already people setting up scams for you to give to and the donations will never make it to Haiti. Please give where you can
I ask, too, that you say a prayer for those affected by the quake, and all those who have gone to help.
I heard on the news about a 63 year old woman (nurse?) from Ontario, Canada, who was on her 4th humanitarian visit to Haiti. She was only on the ground for 90 minutes when the quake hit, and she was killed. Stories like this bring this disaster to life for me, rather than being something that has happened to people far away.
Persevere. Even if you fall on your face, you have moved forward.
PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION.
Hi all, I'm posting a couple of links. My church ministry is supporting a parish in Haiti in which we have built a few schools. We are directly connected and speak regularly with the people there. In our town, buildings are down but no deaths. Our parish priest was in P o P when the quake hit; he seems in shock. He was not hurt. The school bus we supplied them is serving as a shelter. We usually merge with other mid-atlantic groups when sending supplies because it is so difficult (in the best of circumstances) to get supplies into Haiti). For this reason, in this event, I'd do all my giving to the American Red Cross or Catholic Relief Services that are able to get in now. Please give. They need everyone to give. Pass it on. Here are a couple of safe links.
Thank you. Mary
