Pat, sounds good to me. I bought me a nice avocado yesterday at the flea market and nice large ripe tomatoes, I might just have that tomorrow for lunch before I go to the chiropractor.

FROZEN STRAWBERRY SORBET WITH NO SUGAR OR FAT.

2 1/4 CUPS FROZEN STRAWBERRIES
2 FROZEN BANANAS
4 CHOPPED FINE DATES
1/2 CUP MILK
PUT ALL IN HIGH POWERED BLENDER AND PROCESS TIL THOROUGHLY BLENDED.
YOU MAY HAVE TO PUT CONTENTS IN FREEZER FOR A BIT.

while visiting our DD this week end, one of the dishes I made for her
Fresh Salsa--
makes 2 cups-- takes about 15 min. to prepare.
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro if you have it
2 cups finely chopped fresh tomatoes
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/3 cup chopped green chilis
1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
pinch or two of cayenne pepper

Combine all ingredients except cayenne pepper in small bowl and mix well.
Taste and add cayenne if your taste buds permit.

Pat, that sounds good. I usually have oatmeal for breakfast with some kind of fruit/nuts.
Went to TOPS tonight, I had gained 2 pounds, we didn't have a meeting last week as it was a holiday. I knew that I would have a gain as had several eating things going on. I will get it off.

Have a good night's rest. I am tired. Worked Food Bank this morning.

This is what we had for breakfast this morning. VERY good!
Dr Fuhrman's SUPER SEED OATMEAL

1 cup of fashioned rolled oats ( NOT quick or instant )
1 1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla , soy , hemp or almond milk ( I used Almond milk)
1apple, peeled , cored and chopped
1cup frozen blueberries, or mixed berries, thawed. ( I used frozen blueberries)
1/4 cup raisins ( I used golden because thats what I had)
1tablespoon raw sunflower seeds
1tablespoon ground fax seeds
1tablespoon ground hemp seeds
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Choose a large pot to cook oats so they don't boil over. Bring nut milk to a boil. Add oats and stir.
Simmer , covered, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally .

Then mix in all rest of ingredients and enjoy!!( we ate ours with a very little more almond milk)

Divide and save half for tomorrow and refrigerate.
We are looking forward to our Tomorrow mornings breakfast too:)

Pat, this sounds good. Been a busy day, and I am tired tonight. Watching the terrible weather in Okla. Those poor people need all the prayers that they can get.

Geo. Jr. was here this morning and mowed, and we had a nice visit. Always enjoy that.

I have to make some finger sandwiches to take Sunday for a retirement luncheon for one of our members.

This is our current absolutely favorite SOUP recipe from Dr.McDougell

Chip and Salsa Soup
Serves 4
Prep time-10 min.
Cooking time 10 min.

3 1/2 cups vegetable broth
1 15 can black or pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup chopped green onions
11/4 cups fresh salsa, mild or medium
1tablespoon canned diced green chilies
1cup corn kernels
2 cups fat-free tortilla chips, broken into bite size pieces.
1cup AVACADO chunks

Place broth, beans, salsa, corn, green onions, and chilies in a
Medium size saucepan. cook over low heat for 10 min. To blend flavors

Place 1/2 cup chips and 1/4 of AVACADO in each of 4 bowls.
Ladle the soup over the AVACADO and chips and serve at once. emoticon
