GOT BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND EMPTIED THE VEGETABLE DRAWER.
CLEANED AND CHOPPED EVERYTHING IN IT.
HAD A LARGE SALAD WITH LG. ASSORTMENTS OF VEGGIES. PLUS SWEET POTATO CHIPS ON THE SIDE. FOR LUNCH.
THEN MADE A HUGE POT OF VEGGIE SOUP WITH THE REST. ADDED CANNED TOMATOES AND BROWN RICE PASTA.
WILL FREEZE A COUPLE QUARTS TOO.
THIS SHOULD LAST US THE REST OF OUR TIME HERE.

I feel for you, Ree! You must take care of yourself too.
A cousin of ours developed Alzheimer's and fortunately when it got too much for her to handle alone , she found a wonderful care facility where they both could live-he in the care area and she in her own living quarters. I didn't know such a place existed until she found this one in Denver area.
We know you have your hands full but pop in whenever you can.

Thank you Pat I did take your advice and buy sesame seeds ,I already have almond milk on my morning oats,
Ian struggling lately to cope so its importantI try to stay heathy! Having a husband with Alzeimers is taking far more time and energy I had expected . I do many other thing but am looking at what to put aside for now.

Hi team I am trying to do a balancing act today. We are going out for lunch. Ido know the menu at where we shall be. I have to eat low fat as that suits my system. But also I lack calcium. And am on pills for that. I am thinking today of requesting a baked potato without butter but with some grated cheese on the side plus a salad no dressing. That should suit both needs . I can eat cheese at lunch time not later .

No, I have never heard of that; however, I have never had a complete physical. The docs just check my symptoms and go with that.

Saw the Dr. Oz show today: Coconut oil (2T/day) for weight loss, lowering cholesterol, good for cooking, tastes good on toast in place of butter. Chia seeds to stop cravings (2T in water after breakfast). Remedy for sleep, tart cherry juice--8oz before bed. BB Creme--Beauty Balm--it is a primer/foundation/moisturizer/sun blocker/anti-aging creme. It is made by several companies.

Now I am worried about all the little sweet treats we have had along with the wonderful Diet.
We will see if my "sins" will catch up with me.

Now I am waiting for them to call back with an appointment. It seems there are new Medicare rules that I have to pass first to even get my annual checkup to happen. Have you heard of that?? That is what the receptionist told me on the phone when I called!

TODAY DH BROUGHT IN BEET GREENS AT LUNCH TIME FROM OUR LITTLE GARDEN. I STEAMED THEM FOR THAT MEAL.

THIS EVENING HE BROUGHT IN COLLARD GREENS. I WAS A LITTLE WARY AS I WASN'T FAMILIAR WITH COOKING THEM. I STEAMED THEM ALSO AND LIKE THE BEETS I SEASONED WITH A LITTLE VINEGAR AND SALT AND PEPPER. BUT THIS TIME I ADDED A HANDFUL ALMOND SLICES. WELL IT GOT RAVE REVUES FROM BOTH DH AND OUR GUEST, DD. SO THAT WAS A BIG RELIEF.

COLLARD ARE RIGHT UP THERE ON THE NUTRITIONAL SCALE WITH KALE TOO.

After having cooked a batch of kale a few days ago (thanks to Pat for introducing me to it), I,ve been eating some every day of late. Today also had onions, carrots, nuts, cu slices and berries. I do feel healthier when I eat like this.

TODAY I BAKED THE DR. FUHRMAN-"NEVER GET SICK AGAIN" CHOCOLATE CAKE- AS FEATURED ON DR. OZ. IT HAS 11 FRUITS AND VEGGIES AND NO SUGAR. SWEETENED BY THE DATES AND CARROTS IN THE CAKE. DELICIOUS TOO.

Drinking lots of water . When I had a headache ( which I can't remember having in years) this week I drank water 4 times in night and it was gone by morning! Flushed it right out of system!

Pat. you are doing great. I did pretty good eating today. I didn't get too much exercise in except for normal walking, and walking in the Dollar Tree after I got my hair done.

I wanted to go to Curves in the morning, but I called the doctor's office to see if I should go still being sore. My doctor had left for the day, but her PA talked with the other doctor (man), and he said it was normal to be sore for 2 weeks at least after that procedure, and being black and blue was normal. He suggested that I see my doctor for her to check me before I go back to Curves.

This was my third day of working out in the morning. Completed 60 minutes.
Also prepared a Goji Berry, blueberry. Banana, oatmeal pudding last night to soak over night-
Had it for breakfast with other fruits. Healthy
but I thought it tasted overly sweet. Must have been the Goji berriesz
Will have the broccoli soup for lunch.
And the large greens salad for dinner. (Unless I convert it to a whole wheat tortilla wrap)

Had a good day of following my Nutritarian guidelines.
Now I am planning my meals for next couple of days.
I will thaw blueberries for breakfast addition.
Planning to make Asparagus soup for lunch tomorrow..
Dinner will be in an Austin restaurant with family. Will do my best under the circumstances to
Stay within my own healthy choices.

About to start my evening workouts while watching TV. It's my free time after a busy day.

Irene, I love fish. I was hungry for scallops and fixed some in olive oil, add mixed frozen veggies, pea pods, baby corn, broccoli, etc. Soooo good.

Ree, I also keep the rice cakes on hand. Also I keep L/F graham crackers. I spread some F.F whipped topping on one, put another on top and make a sandwich. I make several, and put in a zip lock bag and freeze. Ginger and I like these for a snack sometimes.

Hi Ree--Hope your new snacks do the trick tonight and you sleep like a baby!
I wake up about 3:00 and drink 2 glasses of water and that holds me TIL morning.

Marsha--I am glad you had a good day today ad sounds like a nutritious supper as well. I hope tomorrow is even better!

Nadine--we are so happy to hear from you again. that is admirable that you are doing the family history. We just hope you remember to take care of yourself on the way. no one can do it for you.

and Cheryl--That is GOOD that you were able to get your large dinner salad again. ! We had planned to do the same but as can happen something else took its place. The school had another fundraiser. DD brought us home aTaco plate with the beans and rice on the side.
We will be back to Nutritarian for all 3 meals tomorrow.

Thanks ladies for posting -Tomorrow is another chance to reach our goals.

I had a big garden salad for dinner tonight. It was so good and my body has missed my salads. I get off track when traveling. I get plenty of cooked veggies but not the raw.

Pat, you go girl. Sounds like a good schedule to me. My Granddaughter brought a shopping bag of food over yesterday around suppertime that she got at Whole Foods. She shops there a lot. I posted it and made my photo. It is minus the Veggie Beef soup that we had a bowl of last night. So good. I will bake the squash for supper, have some of the beets she brought, and a turkey burger.

Feeling pretty good today, just can't lift anything today, or take a shower until tomorrow.

I eat my last meal around 5 pm . I am waking up around midnight for the bathroom shuffle, but often think then, I m hungry. So today I bought some oat cakes and rice cakes too. Both are easy to eat, low in calories and fat. I now plan to have a light snack of one or two of one of theses items round 9 pm . Hoping then I sleep better not feeling hungry in the night, Ree

I prepared a 5 Veggie Frittata for breakfast. Sparks recipe modified slightly by using vegan cheese . Very good .
I used up the last of my chopped fresh veggies last evening on salad so will Make up fresh batch this morning which will last a few days.
I still have cooked black beans and a couple servings of my veggie soup for one meal today.
I will make sure I get my G-BOMBS in -GREENS!BEANS! ONIONS! MUSHROOMS! !BERRIES! AND SEEDS . THe more I eat of healthy foods the less room for junk!
I plan to workout this evening on the Elliptical and stationary bike. I am up to 48 minutes now.total.
I plan to clean house today as it didn't get done this weekend
