Today we are delivering Meals On Wheels. We are in the midst of a 4 day rain. Right now it is not raining and we hope it holds off for the next few hours.

DD has again headed up the Relay For Life here.
DH and I are trying to help out in any way we can as we will be gone north when they have it here in May. Right now we are making lists of dear friends and relatives who have had or have cancer to be sure they are honored with lumnarias
at the May Relay.
Also buying and selling tickets to a fun musical and dinner coming up next week.
I am a cancer survivor myself as well as two of our daughters and of course our dear teenage grandson who our team is named for!
The money raised is for a very worthy cause as it helps families coping with cancer to help make them more compfortable as they go through some very tough times.

I AM SURE THEY DID TOO, FAY. OUR DD AND HER DH CHATTED WITH EVERY RECIPIENT. OUR DSIL WAS EVEN ABLE TO RELATE PERSONALLY TO A LADY WEARING A NECK BRACE. HE TOLD HER HE HAD ONE OF THOSE IN HIS CLOSET FROM WHEN HE BROKE HIS NECK FROM A BIKE ACCIDENT!. THEY TALKED QUITE AWHILE. :) THEY ENJOYED MEETING THE CLIENTS AS WELL.

Believe me Pat that is a great act. Meals on wheels was a lifesaver for us the year before my dad died. I actually don't know what we would have done without them during that time period.

I'm taking care of mom for a few days.

Take them to run errands when they don't have transportation or anyone to take them. I used to take a former neighbor to the bank, grocery store and to church as he didn't drive or have any family close by.
