I will try to get back to mostly vegetables and fruits starting next week. With the Realtor wanting me out of the house from 1 to 3 on Sunday, that will give me a good length of time to look at the fresh goodies and then get in a walk around the store. Mark and Bobbi are moving out tomorrow so that I can make my smoothie before 9 or 10 AM (Bobbi likes to sleep in) and have a whole refrigerator for my good food.

I will again cut back on grains but not eliminate as some new teams suggest. Reading a few food records for them, I am sure I am eating better than some of them are. So my teams will continue as they are.

And I'll try to be back more often. See you !

Thanks for posting but I have a hard time reading your message because so many of your words are -run together -with no spaces between.

In reading your story, PRAIRIEGAL, it sounds like you fell but you are ok.! You got up and are ok!
That is great that you are planting asparagus too. That will give you healing foods for sure.
We have Asparagus growing in TEXAS in trench in back of DD'S garden but in Michigan we buy it in large quantities at Asparagus farms near another DD!s house to freeze for winter meals.
Just used up the last two bags this week in making asparagus soup. It was best recipe yet!

Good for you, FAY! Sounds good me. Strawberries go well with baby spinach too.
And the peanut butter is great for protein too.. Can 't beat AVACADO ,and bananas either.

But we had to clear our house of a All peanut items when DD number 3 came to help us out for extra DH duty now. She is highly allergic to all things peanut! So DH 's jars of peanuts and butters were given away.

This morning DD served us Great Grains with fresh strawberries , and yogurt. ( I am not used to all this extra help but it frees me to do other things:)!

I continue to combine whatever is in the frig although skipped several days.

This morning I started with baby spinach (my favorite since I find it to be rather bland so other flavors come through, yet it is very healthy), added avocado, frozen banana, 1/2 cup sk milk plus water as needed and CHUNKY PEANUT BUTTER. The banana and pb were the dominant flavors.

I've had 4 nutritional beverages so far using whatever I have in the refrigerator. The greens I used for the last 3 were a bit strong for me for this purpose. So I added some leftover, cooked carrots in the mix and was very satisfied with the resulting flavor.

I just made asparagus soup 4 lunch- tried new recipe-
Chopped frozen and partially thawed asparagus, chopped onion, a little chopped fresh garlic onstead of garlic powder, soy milk instead of 2% and cooked in microwave before pureeing in blender , never did that before. Will let u know how it is:)
Ps --soup was good
So easy I think I can use same recipe base to make broccoli or celery soup too:)

Putting together my beverage was pretty much a last minute decision. So it started with opening the refrigerator. Young greens which was mostly spinach, banana, Greek strawberry yogurt, chia seeds and almonds.

Today: greens, 1/4 avocado, apple and almonds. This was a bit too green tasting for me and needs some adjusting.

For breakfast We had our Sparks healthy oatmeal mix. It has a good source of fat with the addition of nuts( walnuts) and seeds( flaxseeds)that have the essential fatty acids that our bodies need.
Villain fats are in the form of oils, saturated fats , TRANS fats, and the fats consumed in processed foods .

I have been sleep deprived for decades (plus having central sleep apnea), and have come up with a plan to attack the problem: I've been looking at the supplements I take that may interfere with sleep, and the one I found might be Ginger, so will adjust my intake and see if that helps. I did not get in all of the TO-DOs last evening, but did add a little sleep time, and that is encouraging--at least enough to keep me trying again tonight. I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS WORK! Roberta

Later: I had a banana/chocolate smoothie with milk and honey for breakfast, and it did make me sleepy. Will have some before bedtime tonight to test it. Whatever I find that works, I will share.

Thismorning we chopped and grated onions, carrots, garlic, tomatoes, and zuchinni and added to scrambled eggs and crumbled tofu with added fresh spinach for a delicious breakfast dish. Topped with salsa and shredded cheese.
This sounds like a lot of work first thing in morning but I tricked myself by laying Everthing out on counter before going to bed last night. :). More than one way to " skin a cat" -- what a horrible old saying!!!!

Our weight is stuck so this morning started cutting back on serving sizes.
Breakfast -1/4 cup serving of Stephanie's Oatmeal mix -rather than 1/3 cup. Did same with nut milk and juice and banana.
Lunch -1/2 cup of African Sweet Potato -Bean soup, 1/2 serving of wheat crackers, 1/2 tiny Chocolate bar but full cup of hot a spiced apple cider.
Dinner----Etc.
Will see how this goes .
Also back to my house walking.We have to make time for this even when We think there is none!

Your foods eaten spur me on to look for new recipes esp. for soups. I have yet to try a soup with sweet potatoes as an ingredient but do have some on hand, left over from Thanksgiving. Telling evidence of my little cooking these past months. Your choice of a different bean sounds better to me although I have cans of each available.

I still don't know the spelling but I tried 1/2 (pomella??) for first time today.

I don't remember which threads I used for what (it's been 8 months since I enjoyed connecting with the team) but I'm back to eating more veggies again, less meat. Fruit was never a problem.
Looking forward to a green salad for lunch with 2 oz. chicken breast and some canned kidney beans. Fruit for dessert

After our delivering of meals this morning--We ate at a local Buffet and chose their veggie plate-delicious. First salad plate and then numerous hot veggie dishes.

For dinner I just heated V-8 juice garnished with fresh herbs. Made a great hot soup.
Not my idea. Read it somewhere on here by another SPARKER !

We are doing the 3 day detox so loads of healthy foods-daily
Flax seeds, black berries, bananas, almond butter, apple, spinach, coconut, mango, blueberries Pineapple, avacado plus spiked with cayenne pepper!
