How exciting, Roberta! So happy your trip went well and things are falling in to place nicely!
Just as Happy for DD's beloved dog!! Dog lover speaking here:)
I am starting to assemble for our trip coming up soon. And speaking of dogs, we put a leash on Brooklyn to train her to go potty from leash! No luck yet but she has will have to be learn this on our 3 day travels with her in car.

Good choice, Pat. Me, too.

We arrived here a day sooner than expected. The trip went well and, with DD driving, we made it in 9 hours, including time out for lunch for us and gas for the car. We arrived at 7:45 MT--early enough for her to retrieve her beloved dog. He was SO HAPPY and EXCITED to be home with her, and gave a warm welcome to me, too. He hasnít let her out of his sight all day today.

Tomorrow we have an appointment with the apartment Manager to sign the lease (takes about 45 minutes), then we go shopping for supplies. On Friday morning, we meet her again at 9:00 to leave a check and exchange keys. After that DD and I will go to the apartment to put down shelf paper. The van will arrive about 9:30. The cable guy will be there between 1:00 and 3:00. I expect to have internet service by that time. Iím using DDís right now.

Today is comfortably cool and Sunny. Somehow there was a mix-up on my clothes and I have only one blouse and one pair of slacks to last until Friday. Thatís OK, as DD has a washer and dryer I can use.

Thatís all for now.

To get back to morning exercise today. I have had three nights of dreadful iinsomnia, awake more than asleep, I was like a zombie yesterday , I did heat had to be done , not much else, .but last night a minor miracle happened I slept well, .so am now getting ready to do my exercises and will walk to the post office later to send some mail .enjoy your day. Crunch time!!! My good intentions started this morning with a mug of Green Tea and for breakfast, a protein smoothie with milk, cinnamon, vanilla, whey, small spoonful of honey, and frozen peaches! I decluttered, shredded, re-organized, and packed for at least two hours! Left boxes with miscellaneous stuff from drawers open so movers can check that there are no forbidden items inside. The dishwasher is busy.

Now I'm heading for a shower/shampoo, dress to my shoes, and maybe ride my bike and/or do a load of laundry while my hair dries! Next head for Central Market for food--I've started keeping track of protein and carbs -- I am completely out of meat and veggies.

I want to stay healthy so I can enjoy my new home.

UPDATE: It worked! My bedtime routine, that is! I slept last night! Awoke this morning ready to take on my day. It is good to feel good again. Now to have my breakfast protein smoothie, dress to my shoes, and I am on my way out the door to do errands.

1-Continue my morning and evening routine-( use cocoanut oil on face, hands, arms , feet and legs- use my eye drops, use my inhaler, brush my teeth, take my pre-breakfast med. Weigh myself, dress to the shoes and attach my step counter.(wait and Shower at 11:00 am.)
2- drink my 8 glasses of water daily-keep track by tagging my water bottle .
3-continue our breakfast fruit smoothies and Veggie lunch smoothies, and regular vegetarian dinner of protein, cooked veggie, fresh salad, with tomato, seeds, and nuts.
4- popcorn and apple for evening snack
5-follow Fly Ladies advice-set timer for 15 minutes at a time to alternately do chores and 15 minutes personal time through out day ( including computer time)
6-plan my dinner meals using foods on hand in freezer, fridge or pantry.
7- keep running shopping list for fresh foods needed.
8-get hair done once a week ,and shop for groceries
9-enjoy and communicate with family and friends
10- bless myself daily by working out-bless others daily by sharing in some way.

After another night of no sleep and feeling totally exhausted today, I postponed an important errand because I was too groggy to drive my car. I came up with these intentions for the rest of my tomorrows:

1 -- Stick to my paleo/low-carb eating.
2 -- Limit whey smoothies to one per day--too many carbs.
3 -- Take all my supplements.
4 -- Do my bedtime routine.
5 -- Ride my ex-bike 10 minutes three times per day.
6 -- Lift weights or something heavy.
7 -- Walk more.
8 -- Sprint several minutes twice a day.

They are a top priority!

My Intentions:

Every night before going to sleep, I intend that I am going to have the best sleep ever and awaken feeling rested and ready to take on the day.

The next morning when I awaken, I intend that is it is going to be the best day of my life. I feel rested, with lots of energy and stamina. All good things come to me easily. Abundant money. I am starting to eat mindfully -- eating intuitively and without distractions. What am I hungry for? Really tasting my food. Being where I am -- not doing one thing while thinking of something else.

I have been doing this for several days and the scale indicates that it is working.

My good intentions today----
As I pass through each room on my indoor walking program-I look to see what I can do to improve things. So when I see something amiss I correct one thing-one room at a time as I go along. Breaks up the boredom and tidy things up at the same time. Today I reached over 6000 steps indoors. I enjoy seeing the final steps posted on my computer . Great motivator.:)

I am slowly recovering from my last food binge. As of today my weight is two pounds shy of the goal indicator on my weight tracker. That is good to see. How hard it has been to bounce back. Remembering that is a good motivator for passing up the NO-NOs at the grocery store!

Re sleep, I went back to what worked in years past -- put on "rain" CDs (3) to play all night, put the TV on sleep timer, and went sound to sleep. What a blessing to sleep eight hours, even with two short interruptions.

Awoke this morning to freezing temperatures. Quickly put out a fresh warm sugar water feeder for the hummers. They love the warm drink and will sit there a long time just drinking it in and observing their world. What a joy to watch them. The Annas stay here year 'round.

We slept .better last night too.!

When our Prescious dog whined to be taken out of her cage to go out side around 1:00 AM or so -instead of taking her- like I normally do- I said "NO" Firmly . And DH repeated it.

Guess what-She never said another word all night and she didn't get up TIL we did this morning.:)

My intentions from now on is for me to be in charge ! DUH!

Sounds like you have joined a great group .Please keep us posted as to how it go 's for you.

I get plenty of sleep except for my nightly trip to let our "Precious" out of her cage once or sometimes twice a night to go outside. I just use it as my potty run.

Happy to report I have worked out for 30 minutes or more for last 3 days plus today I added walking outside. Have lit up complete circle of lites day 2 in a row.

My scale was up quarter pound this morning. I was happy about that after pigging out yesterday. Have to be careful about leftovers now!
One thing I INTEND to do is workout 30 minutes a day from now on. I just have to set my priorities for this.

I hope the Activity Tracker will keep me focused on what I need to do. Had a scary early morning (3:00am) and day with spiking BP. Got rid of all the sweets and processed foods this afternoon. Felt weak and shaky earlier, but spent the day reviewing on what I needed to do to get back on track. Anyone know where I can find some horse's blinders to wear the next time I visit the grocery store?! emoticon Roberta

DD and I went shopping yesterday before our winter storm ( and just as it was arriving)
And got our thanksgiving foods to prepare fur THURS.

My good intentions--I will be making the cranberry sauce, the stuffing , and bake two pies .
She and two grand daughters will prepare the turkey , the gravy, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole , dinner rolls and salad

We are so looking forward to seeing 3 of our wonderful grandkids!

The activity tracker is working just fine, thanks to DD who set it up for me . I could never have done that myself. Although I tried. It is fun to see the activity bars appear hourly on my activity page . I am still working on 3000 steps daily as my goal which sounds like nothing to young folks-DD gets 12000 sometimes-but for me this is fine. Just so I don't become chair bound and not able to move at all. So far I have been able to add more steps daily by getting on the Elliptical.

The recent power outage made me aware that I was not prepared for emergencies, so as of today, all battery-operated electronics are on constant charge or currently charged. I am getting food, water, meds/supplements, and other household supplies to last at least a week. Need foods that do not need refrigeration or cooking, and of course water for drinking and household use. Keeping housekeeping chores updated, too. I have been stranded for a full week several times, unable to get out of my apartment due to icy parking lot and/or streets. No power to do laundry, cook, wash dishes, and no heat, etc.

So, dear friends, keep your cell phone charged and on your person during the day and in your purse next to your bed or on your night stand at night. Keep emergency flashlights charged up, too, and plenty of healthful foods and water handy. We never know what Old Man Winter has in store for us.

I am excited about tracking my steps tomorrow on my new " sparks fitness tracker". DD came over and helped me get it set up so now when I wear it it will record my activities right on my I-pad. I hope it will be a real motivator for me to take extra steps daily!

Glad to see you back, REE! You will really enjoy planning your meals ahead. I try to buy ingredients to one new healthy recipe at a time and make enough to freeze a few servings for later. This week I made a full recipe of Minestrone soup and Froze several servings. Tomorrow I will pick ingredients for the next recipe.

My good intentions today was to start cleaning my kitchen drawers. Glad to report I got two emptied, and cleaned and everything put back neatly. I intend to continue til kitchen is done before tackling the bedroom.

Hi team sorry not to be visiting In a a while I saw this good intentions thread and liked it, I have be feeling down then beating myself up for not always being patient with my dh. Also also been doing comfort eating lately, I can't say it makes me feel any better , so my good intention is to cut out comfort eating, and to plan and prepare meals in advance , yesterday I made leek and potato soup in the slow cooker, very tasty, there is enough for several portions , that should last me a few days it's getting soupy weather now, Enjoy your weekend , Irene
