We had veggie pot pie tonight. It was made with potatoes, mixed vegetables and a whole wheat crust only on the top. It was really good and very filling. I have no doubt I will emoticon well tonight.

Pat, I love almond milk, use it all the time. I use it in my smoothies.

FOR DINNER WE EACH HAD 1/2 A BAKED POTATO WITH A LITTLE HERB BUTTER, AND
1/4 FRESH MANGO (LEFT OVER FROM OUR DETOX SHAKES INGREDIENTS). VERY FILLING- WE SHOULD SLEEP WELL TONIGHT. I HAD READ THAT CARBS AT NIGHT HELPS ONE SLEEP. WE WILL SEE.

For Bob's celebration of his discharge from the navy in 1946, he wanted to do something a bit special. He has been doing this each year. Since I do the driving, I took him to a new-to-us place where he had an 8 oz. lobster tail. I settled for a Greek salad which was almost enough for 2 meals.

Sounds really great and healthy too.
I purchased my first beets( in years) yesterday. Cut the tops from the beets and steamed them and had for lunch along with our bean soup. Saving the beets themselves for a beets ad sweet potato salad tomorrow- recipe.from Dr. FUHRMAN website.

Today I took a bag of frozen spinach and added a fresh tomato, half onion and half cup of prepared black beans. Simmered it on low until the onions were tender, added garlic powder and onion powder. It was great. I ate a cup of it and it was filling. I have been trying to think of quick healthy things for lunch. Next time I will throw in mushrooms and fresh garlic.

SOUNDS GREAT CHERYL.
I WAS HAPPY TO FIND TEXAS GROWN ORANGES AT THE GROCERY STORE HERE.

I made another pot of anti-cancer soup. Its a little different as I used the veggies mom had in her frig and I didn't have a juicer so I pureed the carrots. I also used collards instead of kale this time so I'm anxious to taste it when we come back from her doctor appointment. emoticon emoticon

The Thai veggie stir fry DGD made us for dinner.
Kind of exotic -even had sliced bamboo :) vegetarian and delicious but I probably won't be buying bamboo any time soon.

We had sweet potatoes for supper, Pat ! I almost steam mine. Put in small amount of water and peel after they are cooked.
