Good for you Ree! Glad you have a plan for getting your strenght back. Just take it easy at first do it! That is the trick ! When things hurt it takes extra motivation.. I don't hurt but I have other issues to contend with since my surgeries. Just taking it one day at a time and thankful for having them:)

My major exercise as usual lately was the cooking from scratch meals.
Lots of work in the kitchen as well as keeping up with the dishes and wash loads.
The cleaning lady does thedusting and floors and made the bed up fresh which I appreciate.
I hope to get back to my purposeful walking next week when we get back to our northern home.

Congrats on your total steps Roberta! I am impressed.
Sorry about your sleep problems,
I am rather in the same boat . I am up 3 times every nite for potty runs but thankful i go back to sleep! I have a short nap in PM and feel i deserve it:) probably getting about same as you in sleep hours.
I make a conscious effort to drink 2 glasses of water before meals and in evening if thirsty.
As I am still working on gradually losing weight , I eat everything but stick to 1/4 cup servings.
Posting on Spark Nutrition page is very helpful for getting the protein and Fiber I Need most days. My weight seems to have plateaued at 155 for now. Probably ok for 5-5 height. And 90 years young. At least that's what DD says:)
You inspire me to get back to my walking program. !

Good going, Roberta!

My only contribution is the cleaning i did was at the old house' bathroom on the property DD just purchased. We had a picnic out there in yard .
Lovely property and trees but house on property is a fix-er-upper! A "Chip and Joanna" special!

I do t walk much now but am trying more chair exercises to help my painful knee. I had a replacement several years ago but it's painful again, hoping some knee exercises may help . Ree

Good for you Roberta! I am proud of you! I wish I could do what you do!

My walking consisted of decluttering every room
,window sills counters and tables. Etc.
Our realtor came to do a walk through for potential sale.( I was doing a Quick Fix R Upper , Chip and Joanna stye :).
Payed off. Too. He called the house beautiful and said we should have no problems selling -when we come back in fall.

As for sleep ---I am always up at least twice in night but thankfully go right back to sleep.

And I do use Spark tracker for my water as well as being sure we get 1 Starch, 1 Whole grain Probiotics , enough Fiber, plus protein, fat and Calcium ,2 fruits, and several veggies.
We have a huge lunch and either big salad or soup for dinner.
Never hungry -even with skipping breakfast.

Must get back to my purposeful walking tomorrow.

Not so many steps yesterday, but I did lift and push several heavy boxes and furniture, plus de-cluttering and organizing to make room for the moving company's repairman. Spent a good three hours getting ready for his visit. Forgot to drink my 2 Liters of water!

For over three hours today, I was lifting and pushing heavy boxes and furniture to another room so the repair man would have room to repair the damaged items. He did a good job on everything. I was pleased. Funny thing, my elderly mantel clock started working again while he was here! Then after he left, I had to put everything back!

Note to self: Drop your shoulders and breathe slowly and deeply. Think about something pleasurable to do today. Take a walk outside in the fog. SMILE!

I am grateful today that my Grandfather's mantle clock is back to working perfectly after all these years.

I am grateful today for finding Volvic water to rid my body of the toxin Aluminum! It tastes so delicious, I may continue to using it after the 12-week period.

02/03: Busy day--7717 steps. Found and made an appointment for today with a tax preparer in my DD's neighborhood, shopped for healthful foods at Natural Grocers, supplements at The Vitamin Shoppe, and finished off at Walmart! I was so tired, was in bed before 8:00, then awake about 12 something, and could not get back to sleep, so I was up just before 3:00!

I awoke to snow this morning. Does not look deep, so probably by 11:00 the streets will be clear. A winter advisory came in last evening, and temp now is only about 30 deg.

Good news about your knee. I walked across the parking lot to and from the office walking just holding my cane! That is improvement from just a few days doing my own special leg exercises! I am SO grateful!
