I stayed away from this topic because I hadn't made any progress:) And I have to keep reminding myself that it's all a matter of perspective. While the scale hasn't moved a hair, I have improved my flexibility and my portion control. I'm heading to the states for vacation and absolutely must have a 'firm' foundation so that I can avoid getting out of control with all those yummy foods, especially sweets that I miss. It looks as if I am the only one on this post anymore. My new job has kept me busy and away from the gym. I got one day in and went dancing Saturday night, so not enough to get any more weight off. Sill 150. I wanted to up my game this past week and it just didn't happen. Today I did however ride my bike with one of my daughters to go get my car from club where I left it. That was killer, wow my legs were burning fire. Don't think I will be riding it to work anytime soon, that's for sure.

I hope everyone else did good for the week, let us all know.

I sucked this week! I only went to the Gym twice, sorry girls, and this week isn't looking to good either. My work has me busy, but I did get to go late tonight, just couldn't go as long as I did 3 weeks ago. Getting out of the gym and being sick, sure does hold you back.

I didn't gain or lose this week, so I guess that is ok, I hope to do better this week.

Ok, see who can burn the most calories this week. Remember to count everything. Today I did 3 hours of heavy cleaning. Heavy, like I was sweating doing it. Im counting it.

Hello Everyone!!!! So how did everyone do this week?? I lost 1 pound which I think is totally amazing since I have been sick all week and eating like a horse. Let us know how everyone did good or bad!!!!

How about a Challenge Week???? I need to do something to get me back in the game of life!!! Having two weeks off from the gym and being sick has wore me out. So I would like to jump back in with both feet running!!!

Carolyn please let us all know what you have done with your other teams so that we may all get a chance to figure out what we would like to do.

I'm game with starting on Monday and ending Saturday night. Then we can see how we all did Sunday. If it is one for losing weight or losing inches, I'm game. Is this how these challenges work?

Let's pick something and start a new Topic and get it going!!!!

Good Luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!!! I want to be a Special Ed. teacher, but I am going to wait until we get back to the states so I don't have to work and can focus on school.

Tell your son emoticon !!!! What are you doing up so late???? This is the only quite time I have, suck to have to work in a few hours, but I need to get on here sometime. How did your weigh in Go this week. I only lost .5.....That's ok though, I was only able to go to the gym 1 day this week. Tomorrow starts a new week.

Probably the same as here when the ships go out. I wasnt sure about who the base belonged to. I was just wondering. Have you been down this way? I havent been to Misawa. My kids have for sports, but not me.

We are all 4 services plus Japanese Air Defense. Mainly Air Force, then Navy about 450, Army about 10 and Marines about 10 too. Odd jobs like Vet Clinic and Security. We are going to lose alot next month to deployments so it will be a ghost town here.

Yes I do go to the gym here, I do yoga 3 days a week and treadmill 3 to4 days a week. I will have to check into the no excuses class to see if we have something like that. Sound cool!

Today I went to a no excuses class. Do you go to the gym on base? I love this class. It is circuit training. They push you to do your best. I burned 980 calories in 75 minutes.

Carolyn,
I am up here in Misawa AB and would love to start something like that, that burns that many calories. I'm lucky to get up to 1000 in a week. The other day I burned 545 on the treadmil and darn near killed myself doing it.....a bike run sounds great!!! When you have time can you send me info on your challanges and maybe we can incorporate them on this board.

Yes, I was busting butt. I started my week out with a 50 kilometer bike ride that took 3 hours though. That was my fujisawa run. You can do it and it really boosts your weight loss. I was at 5000 the week before. We are burning it.

Hi Im a leader on another board and we do exercise challenges. To see who can burn the most calories in a week, or who can ride their bike 5 miles the fastest, or walk 5k the fastest, etc. It really helps motivate you. Last week I burned 7068 calories. I lost 3.5 lbs too.

Hello Everyone,

Well I guess my routine this week was good, I lost 1 pound from last weigh in. emoticon Slow and steady, that is fine with me.

As I talked with several people this week at the gym, I keep getting the same advise. Get off the scale and take your measurements! I'll be honest I am a scale junky. But I understand where they are coming from. In one year I may have only lost 10 pounds, but I have also lost 5 inches off my stomach and hips, I can now see where I have lost even if the scale doesn't. Maybe that should be a new goal???? What do all of you think? Let me know I'll even start a new topic.

Good Morning,
Today is the day, I weighted and I lost those pounds I gained last week. It's better than gaining but I'm right back to the weight I started out on April 1st. That's okay too. I seem to average 2-4 pounds in a month. I guess I am a really slow loser. As my best friend and I talk about all the time we are all about the number on the scale, and it just doesn't seem to go down as fast as we would like it to......

Patience is not one of my better virtues, but I will take the loss in stride and keep working and hopefully by the end of the month I will have lost my 2-4 pounds and be 150-148. That will be a wonderful victory for me.

I hope you girls are doing well with your weight loss too. Please write and tell us. We are here for each other, and no matter what the outcome we are all winners here!!!

Hi Girls!!!!!

I just wanted to see how you are doing and on what day you weigh in. My normal day is Saturday Morning, because it is the only morning I sleep in( 8am)and can get on the scale with out waking up my husband. You know how it kills them when you turn on the light in the morning.....

However, this week I am going to wait until Sunday morning. You might ask why...well my Friday night BBQ killed me in calories, WOW emoticon 2610 for the day after plugging in 3 pork ribs, and a 1/2 cup of baked bean, well lets just say I stopped at that....no reason to show the rest of the world what a pig I was.....and the sad thing is I didn't eat over my serving size, but the calories did add up, and FAST!!!

So let us know how good or bad you did this week, or if you haven't completed a full week, let us know and we will cheer each other on for next week!!
