The sodium in foods is one of those things that spur on the urge to continue eating when not hungry.

Many of us here make our own hummus in order to control what is in it, i.e. leaving the oil out of it. Hummus counts as bean consumption and can be a very good thing depending on the other ingredients.

I kind of mix plans, and I 'do' use oils like fish oil and olive oil. Fish oil does wonders for lowering inflammation, and olive oil raised my HDL and lowered my LDL. I like what these oils are doing for me. Other than this my diet is 'fat free' from other types of fat.

Typically you should avoid oil.

Agave nectar in very small amounts may be ok, but generally Dr F encourages using dates for sweetening. Most of us on this team eat hummus, but most of us also keep an eye on our salt. Some more than others. Miso is good, but I think it is also high in sodium.

Am I permitted olive oil + agave nectar (in small amounts used in a dressing), as well as miso?

Am I allowed hommus if it has added salt but nothing artificial and no added sugar?

Thankyou:)emoticon
