New job is going well. Pretty excited about it.

Need to get my nutrition under control. Fitness is doing good, even had to up weights when lifting, cardio feels amazing.

Had a pretty good day at work. Done training and will start solo on Tuesday. Looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully weather is decent and I can take fur-babies out to park or someplace nice emoticon emoticon emoticon

Well the baby is a couple months old now and life is still hectic, just a different kind.

Feeling really good today. Took yesterday for myself. Cleaned house, laundry, cooked meals, walked fur-babies after trip to park, watched movie with Peanut, studied, relaxed. Ended up sleeping very well last night.

Took my fur-babies to Alum Creek State Park dog park area. Haley just sniffed around like always but did well (at 17 years old you just kind of relax). Sparky had to stay on leash so he wouldn't escape under fences but got in and swam so bit.

Well, I did pretty good on nutrition goals today. Could have made some healthier choices but calorie range is good.

Exceeded fitness goals. Feeling pretty good about that.

Totally got my 8 cups of water today!

Got a fantastic nights rest last night. Here's hoping I'd can do it again.

Anyone else out there feel like a fraud? I am a co-leader of two groups here, have a few friends that say I encourage and inspire them but I can't stick to anything and actually reach my own goals. I feel like a fraud. If I'm a leader shouldn't I be able to reach my goals. If I've been on SparkPeople for almost a decade shouldn't I have reached goals and stayed there. I have gotten closer to my goals a couple of times but ... Ugh. Sorry but I needed to get this off my mind. Guess that is why we have daily chat and rant.

I am happy to see this team starting to get in shape again. I was about to drop it, but being from Columbus, that is a very hard choice. I would love to see a challenge once in awhile. How am I doing? Pretty well. So many good things happening and few sad things. New job, looking into moving to a new place, kid getting on right direction with school / career. (Not looking for fast easy way but working for what is wanted). A little sad as I help my friend support a family member who is dying from a brain tumor. Lots of hugs, tears and prayers.

Where am I on my goals? Finally getting serious, again. This time seaams more real. I am working with a trainer at gym to set up a plan and help me stay focused. I pick it up Tuesday.

What would I like from the team? Participation, especially from leaders. More focused topics, which hopefully team members will ask for. I am a member of several teams and they are very different. Some offer challenges, others provide information outside of SparkPeople, some have activities to engage in, game threads, and totally random. I am excited to hear what is wanted b this team so the leaders can provide it.

PeanutsMom96, I'm so glad you did! I had requested to be a team leader several years ago, at that time I was turned down because the current team leader who hadn't been active in years thought he would return and be team leader again. I never saw him post after that. I drifted away from SP but was checking my spam folder awhile ago and saw not only was I made a team leader just last week, your request was in there too! Yay! Maybe we can get this team more active now!

I would encourage anyone else who would like to be a team leader to please apply, the more leaders we have the more vibrant and alive the team seems to be. I'm so glad I decided to check my spam folder today! emoticon

Ugh, and here I was so excited.

My local Y let me know they couldn't approve my scholarship request as they didn't have the funds available. I understand; its summer and the facilities are located in a rather underprivileged area. They did offer me a 30% reduction in the membership, but even that's more than I can afford.

Feeling disappointed. emoticon

I've made it through three days of jury duty without having to go through voir dire. We'll see what happens the next two days. I have a lot of things to work on, but my sleep schedules out of whack and I'm taking naps :(

Well, the scale moved....just in the wrong direction. I have physically felt like crap since the pigout weekend. I will be doing extra time on the treadmill tonight and have been drinking a ton of water trying to flush the garbage food out of my system.

While the scale can really suck, I do enjoy the way clothes fit changes. My pants feel nicer. I think I'm a good 20 pounds off from having any real changes in my clothing though :sigh: Scale didn't move again for me this week.

The scale hasn't budged off 200 in a week. Very annoying, until I put on a sweater this morning and it is just hanging off me. My body is changing even if the scale isn't moving. I am going to try on a pair of skinny jeans I bought last year, then ended up being to big for them when I wanted to wear them. That was a crying fest that sent the jeans to the back corner of the closet. Have a great day! emoticon

I get that feeling. My husband wants to go up to Cedar Point this summer and I'm like, um...no. The seat belts on the ride are near impossible to put on when you're my size ;_;

Hey Sage,

I had a 1985 Virago 500 until I got fat! Finally, I sold it because it was just taking up space in my garage. Hubby had a 1983 Special 1200 cc (I think); he gave his to his son. Husband has Parkinson's so there is no way he can ride now. - I'm only 53 and I still want the riding adventure. But it'll have to wait until I lose this weight. LOL! I refuse to be seen as a fat chick on a bike.

I got my walking in and shaved a minute off my regular time. It was getting cold in the garage, so I kicked the treadmill up a bit. Today I will be dragging the space heater back in there. I can't walk and shiver at the same time...LOL!
Yes, Deb, motorcycles are fun! One of my goals is to lose enough weight that Hubby and I can take a weekend ride. Right now, between the 2 of us, we overload the weight limit. So, we just keep walking and looking forward to meeting our goals.

This was a crazy weekend. I got nothing done on Saturday, except help Hubby tear apart and put back together 2 motorcycles. The treadmill was being used as a parts bench...LOL! We had fun, but I have no idea how to log it as fitness points...LOL!

Wow, that is a gorgeous system! Maybe I'll have to put it on my Christmas wish list :)
How's everyone done this week? I almost had a panic attack :sigh: The medication certainly kept it at bay. About to head off for gym day five this week (plus a long walk Sunday). I won't get to work out tomorrow as the day is packed from sun up until well after sun down. Plus, weigh in day tomorrow, EAP.

It is the Ninja Ultima Pro. We bought it at Meijer. It comes with 2 single serving cups as well as a 9 cup carafe. I am just using bananas, frozen mangoes, frozen pineapple, blueberries, and greek yogurt and almond milk or juice, in whatever combos people want. I like carrot juice and spinach and blueberries, but my family thinks I'm disgusting...LOL. Fresh strawberries and frozen bananas with cranberry juice is Hubby's fav.

Hubby bought me a Ninja blender with the extra cups and it is so much fun! We made smoothies instead of dinner and it was a nice change. We have decided, at this point, we are going for 1 smoothie dinner night a week and maybe move to 2 as we get past our irrational hunger pangs. Hubby and I stopped smoking 6 years ago and he gained 100 lbs. and I gained 130 lbs. It went on slow, but it is coming off faster than we expected. I feel really good today.

That's awesome! I love when you get on track like that, focused in on a goal and not letting anything stop you. I've been back on SparkPeople for almost two weeks now, and in those two weeks I've worked out five of seven days! The goal is six days, but I'm not beating myself up. I'm a little envious that your husband is so on board with you. It's not that mine isn't, but more that we have different cycles. He works out at night, I work out first thing in the morning. Days that I'm off though, we usually go together :) Here's to Monday!

Wow, weekends are so hard. Hubby and I drank coffee all day, then napped and then woke up at 11:30 pm. We hit the treadmill in the middle of the night so we wouldn't miss a day. We have been on the hamster track everyday for 3 weeks and are hell bent not to miss a day. We got on it early today, so we aren't making our daughter roll her eyes at us at midnight...LOL! I am thinking positive thoughts for the upcoming week.

So I know I am hardly ever online (no internet at home) and when I am I try to make sure I track fitness and nutrition so I don't get to visit friends and groups often but I question how an "offical spark team" has an inactive leader? Does SparkPeople not watch this stuff? I thought this would be one of the groups I could count on :(

Hi SamNKtsMom,

I'm trying to reduce my sugar. My DH is a diabetic too. Do you go to the Worthington Farmer's market on Saturdays? They have a couple of gluten-free bakers, and lots of veggies and some fruits, too. Also a great option for quality meats, eggs and cheese.

So I am just gonna jump in the conversation, sorry for interrupting, but I listened to SparkRadio earlier today while cleaning house and decided to start a new streak - I reset my goals and decided I would visit one SparkTeam and two SparkFriend a day... now I can always visit more if I have time but I figure this is achievable with out spending too much time on my behind not focusing on fitness. I figure if I am checking in with everyone daily it will encourage me to log my nutrition and fitness.

Today I am going to visit all my teams and leave this message so I can get started. Then I will begin rotating around.

I am pretty proud of myself today. I set some small goals for myself for today and accomplished all of them. I drank water, ate fruits and veggies, and did cardio. Enjoyed this nice weather today and played outside with my youngest son. I also deep cleaned the house, which I do most every Saturday. I got to do it with the windows open today, though! Hope everyone is having a great day!

OHHH!!!! Casablanca is one of my favorite movies...I wish I could go see it this weekend. Unfortunately my fiance is working all weekend, and we live about an hour south of Columbus, in Rockbridge. I think we might head down to the flea market to get some walking in tomorrow morning though, and then of course I can always jump in the pool and do some laps. I literally just got off the treadmill....knocked out 1.25 miles in 30minutes...slowly finding that inner motivation that has been hidden inside me for so long. Small steps to a big loss!

Good for you Loni! I am working on increasing my exercise. Today I slipped up on a few choices, but managed to stay in range and generally do good. Yay! There is a quilt show, a yarn show, a parade, free yoga, free zumba dancing downtown and art in Worthington. Oh and the summer movies start this weekend with Casablanca! What a great place Columbus is!
