“Do not let your fire go out spark by irreplaceable spark... Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real…. It is possible…. It’s yours. “ Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged)
August 9, 1969 On this day in Horror History, the beautiful Sharon Tate was killed. Tate was an incredible talent, and a beautiful soul whose life was lost in a tragedy that will never outshine the angel that she truly was. Having starred in such films as Eye of the Devil (1966) and The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967), she was making her presence known as a talented and stunning actress. As the wife of Roman Polanski, she was among some of the most brilliant film-makers of all time, and had the seed of a blossoming career until it was stolen from her when the Manson Family took her life and that of her unborn child, as well as 4 others on the Polanski’s estate. The Crimes would go down in history, and cinema would lose the brown eyed beauty that had stolen our hearts.
“Everything that's realistic has some sort of ugliness in it. Even a flower is ugly when it wilts, a bird when it seeks its prey, the ocean when it becomes violent.” –Sharon Tate Horror Central
