We've had a few days almost 90°. Too hot for me!
I'm off to bed early so I can be fresh for my reading tomorrow morning. Plus, I have the Meet N Greet after Mass... Guess if the Lord arranged it, He will give me the grace to accomplish it!
Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!
Hard to believe it is June!
Summer has arrived!

Hi all!

That wasn't like puppiesinasia is it? An old sweater that needed recycled huh? We once had a standard white poodle that the vet put down as he said he had distemper....i was about 6.

Send all puppies to puppieheaven not puppiesinasia-it's just too sad. I won't have pets...too many went away....Like gettin to be friends with old people...you go and make emotional investments and then they have the nerve, and without even tellin ya, take off....inconsiderate..

I just roll with the punches we have two permanant deacons and one who will be ordaned next week.. so we have not been doing much for the last few months but I seem to feel that I am so blessed to get at chance to do this when I am able... and for as long as they let me.

Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things:... Psalm 98

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though... we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day my day....So fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal
2 COR 16-18

Everybody has a "first" time, IMREITE ! You'll get better as you go along. Experience helps quell the jitters. I Lector this Sunday at 8am. I love doing it!
Yesterday was a rough day. We took our 16yo Cardigan to the vet. She was arthritic, blind, and had not been doing well since Saturday evening. It was time to allow her to leave us.
Had a long day at work today... but I had time to start to read my new book on St. Therese of Lisieux. It is AWESOME!
Off to bed! Have a good evening, everyone!

DH and I have a busy day today. Sam's Club, PetSmart, Wally World for groceries... and get three loads of mulch! SOme how I'm going to get a few games of bowling practice in, too! LOL! My new bowling ball arrived yesterday, and I got to play 3 games. emoticon It's AWESOME! LOL!
Think I will go to 8am Mass tomorrow and get the day off to a great start! emoticon
Have coffee, checked in with SparkCoach(I REALLY like it!) and am off for morning TAG.
May everyone have a nice Memorial Day weekend... remember to pray for those who have protected us, and still do!
God IS so good!

found this on my computer today... just had to share. Never get tired of His words.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mt 5:3–12)

I fast three days a week and offer my hunger up for the needs of our world. My Mother has always told us to offer up our suffering for the needs of our fellow men. I was one of twelve children born to my parents, both good Catholics, but not so all the children, only myself and my oldest sister are still practicing Catholics.

Well said about Our Blessed Mother!

As soon as I read your comment about posture, I tried to sit up straighter!

Another sparkfriend said she really really really enjoyed the Spark Solution.

I have not seen ANYTHING about the disasters, but many sparkfriends have been discussing it. It is sad that all this is happening. I am adding them to my intentions too.

I'm adding the disasters in OK and TX to my Rosary petitions. I've not watched anything on TV. But DH has been telling me about it. My heart is heavy, too. The weird weather should be making all of us take stock of how we are living... The earth is winding down. God didn't say it was going to last forever...
Almost finished The Spark Solution. Pretty good reading!
Off to work. Going to be a long day. SparkCoach has having good posture as a challenge today. I NEED to pay attention to how I stand and move more.
Remember that May is Our Blessed Mother's month! Get to know her better, as she is our example of humility and trust in God. She will lead you closer to her Son.

IMRETIE - I'm with CATHOLICCORGI in wondering what a Polka Mass is - I don't think I've ever heard of that. Good for you for lectoring. I used to, and kind of miss it, but I sing in the choir now, so it would be awkward, and not quite right to do the first of second reading, and then go up in between to sing the Psalm!

CATHOLICCORGI - that sounds a delicious breakfast!

HAPPYGIRL - yes, the devastation is terrible in Texas and Oklahoma. I confess I have not seen the news, but have been hearing about it here on sparks. The news is so hard to watch sometimes.

Polka Mass? Sounds interesting... does this mean the music is with accordions? LOL! I love being a Lector! My turn is 6/2/13 for Sunday Mass... I read a lot during the week. Our Sacristan keeps asking me to become a Eucharistic Minister... don't know if I will.
Made a Spark recipe this morning... Cinnamon Pancakes. It was good! I had 8 pancakes, so I froze 6 for later. I altered the recipe by using an egg instead of eggbeaters, and I used Almond milk for skim milk. Put it all in my Recipe Calculator, and it came out to 86 calories a cake. With 2 slices of turkey bacon, and some pineapple, I had a good breakfast! Had a cup of Grove Park Carmel Cappachino, too! Yum!
Planning on using leftover whole wheat spaghetti somehow for lunch today... maybe a peanut butter sauce? Hmmm... need to check SparkRecipes and see what I can find. I've been very pleased when I use a Spark recipe.
New dryer has arrived, and now must do laundry!
Good day to all!

That's so sad, EVERNESS. I guess that's what happens a lot - people trying to cover up. I do it with food, others do it with unkindness, etc.

Heh heh. I guess I meant only that he liked to greet people and get to know them - I guess not many go out and try to meet others in the big world like His Holiness does.

CJ regarding two posts back, you know of parish priests that get out and about in community-where there are non catholics? Where do you attend? :) joking...nervous smile...

I haven't read Spark Solutions...Wanna scan and upload the excerpt about Ms Houselander....guess they wouldn't appreciate that, huh?

As far as folks putting anyone down or making them feel inferior for any reason, I think it's wrong. When I was in school, it wasn't the kids that had that were bad that way, it was always the poorer kids, trying to falsely use arrogance and haughtiness to cover up insecurity and attack those that had....

You've got it right, CJ! There are several versions, but I usually say "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me and on the whole world."
DH actually admitted to someone at bowling today that he went to Mass with me last night. He told them he doesn't understand it. I said we are going to go to RCIA to learn more, and he didn't correct me, so perhaps the "seed" is planted and is beginning to grow...

Is the Jesus prayer:

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me, a sinner"?

I made a mistake in the name of that booklet - it is actually called "10 Things that Pope Francis wants you to know"

www.liguori.org/10-things-pope-franc
is
-wants-you-to-know.html

Yes, it's true what you say about people looking down on others who may not have the same advantages.

I love your new username, Sunny! Very bright. I hope you are able to overcome your depression. May God grant you peace and wellness.

Trying to catch up.....

Leah, What is the Jesus Prayer?
C.J, I need to find that booklet!
Interesting someone mentioned religious snobbery! I told my Mother over the weekend I can endure a non-religious person looking down on me because I feel like they don't know any better!LOL It's those that loudly talk about Jesus loving us all (True) then looking down on those that don't have the same material advantages they do. that I have a hard time dealing with.

Oh, I didn't leave and start over...again!... just changed my screename. I go by Michelle or the childhood nickname of Sunny. Since I'm battling depression I hope "Sunny" will rub off on me! I(formerly chellebythesea)

So true! I just picked up a little booklet at the Christian Supply Store near us. It is called The Things Pope Francis Wants You to Know. And it is all about his philosophies on life, as shown by his actions in his brief time as His Holiness. That one (him getting out and meeting the people) is one of the first things they discuss. He is the parish priest of the world!

It's a good read. I will finish it tonight at Adoration, and then pass to my dh.

And I love Pope Frances getting out ...dogma doesn't override the love, the spirit of love is shared, and love doesn't mean conformity.....Pope John Paul II was great in getting out and about-and showing contrast with Mother Theresa and male/female absurdities in society, but Pope Frances' way of doing it...love it...Spirit, predominant...

"with a book on their head" Interesting! I like that, EVERNESS!

You mention snobbery in terms of a woman who was with child before marriage or outside of marriage. I was so pleased when the new Pope condemned the priests in Argentina for refusing to baptize babies born to unwed mothers. Here were women who had CHOSEN LIFE, and were being punished for it!

Yep. I was in Catholic Answers Forum, and I read all kinds of Christian snobbery. Same kind of thing I heard growing up in almost all the protestant denominations. I consider class as following the Christ model as far as attitudes about people. Things like birth...whoa....who was Christ related to? Rahab. and His ma was pregnant before she was married, and He stood up for all kinds of people. Wow, they judging Him badly? These people would have you doing away with how many Saints? Do they read the histories and lineages? They find the most idiotic things to get snobby about and details, when it's supposed to be about LOVE and patience and understanding......I get so hurt hearing all the put downs and petty garbage....it's not about superiority.....what is reconciliation with God....? so is the rest of it anyone else's business? If you see a faux pas, gently say something toward correction, but if not..gossip is no, judgment is no, ...incomprehensible....

I think it would be wonderful if everyone had to learn to walk, kneel, turn, with a book on their head...it can't be done properly with a nose in the air or looking down at things...It would be wonderful too if that book keeping one's outlook in proper perspective were their Bible.

4EVERNESS , That is really good. and it's funny that you brought this up, because the other day I went to the chiropractor and the receptionist said something kind of rude in the direction of Catholic's and I don't think that was right. But like you said it would be nice if we could just all respect each other emoticon Maybe some day, one could only emoticon emoticon

Odd question. If people believe in reconciliation, they believe that we are supposed to be like Christ in our behaviors, and that through baptism and reconciliation there is grace, and that love is not haughty, boastful, or proud, why is there sanctimony? such judgementalness? It apparently is a disease in all faiths...when I thought we were to love as a child, and have humility...

As for another issue, my background has been protestant, further back extremely Catholic. But all of the world's churches, as far as I know, have had historical faux pas against what we would understand as the love of God....let's pray that those rifts are bridged, and that God's love is fulfilled.

emoticon Morning!
It's cold... 41°. But the sun(and SON) is shining!
CJ, I have the same problem with remembering things... right now I am focusing on getting back on my Spark Track. I'm anxiously awaiting The Spark Solution book, and I started my SparkCoach 3 month trial.
My doctor gave me a new med, and it definitely helped the muscle pain last night. I am cautiously optimistic...LOL!
I have always carried a Rosary since I was a child. It has been a stable force in my life. My Blessed Mother has been there for me when no one else was. Yes, Jesus promised to never leave us, but I have often felt the physical presence of my Mother when I had no one else. Being an only child, I was alone a lot... never really lonely, but left by myself. I love exploring different ways of using the beads... The Divine Mercy Chaplet, The Jesus Prayer. Anything that helps focus on God is good!
I'm off to get my 10 minutes of morning exercise in.
May everyone have a day filled with the Holy Spirit's Presence and Peace!

Hello all! I've missed you. I do not get email notifications for all my threads anymore - so I can only pop in when I remember to visit - which is very difficult with my peri-menopausal brain.
emoticon

Anyway - I think I missed an interesting discussion about counting prayers. And I loved Leah's quote. I'll have to return to that again later.

Chelle - hmmm....good question. What ended up happening? I was going to suggest praying to Our Lady about it before seeing here, to ask for her intercession. But I imagine the the situation has come and gone already, right?

I remember I was a little shy once praying the Rosary on a bus full of school kids going on a field trip to sing at another school in another city. I was part of the way through, when we had a "pit stop". I tucked my rosary and booklet on how to pray the rosary away (I was still somewhat of a beginner at it all). At the stop, a woman approached me shyly wanting to ask me a question. She wondered if I would mind teaching her how to pray the rosary. I told her I would be honoured.

I showed her the ropes, so to speak, and gave her my booklet. Apparently, her mother had given her a rosary years ago, and she was always living in mortal fear that her mother would ask about it when she visited. It seems, she never told her mother she didn't know how to pray it, and it had now been so long that she would be embarrassed to admit it at that point. She finally wanted to learn in order to be able to be honest with her mother and tell her that she had it still, knew how to use it, and did in fact use it. She didn't know how to get out of her dilemma until she saw me praying on the bus. My shyness in praying on the bus vanished as I realized that God had prompted me to do so.

I remember thinking as I prayed (before this woman approached me) of a woman I had seen on another bus, years and years before, praying the Rosary. I marvelled at her unself-conscious nature, and wished I could do such a thing - I wasn't even Catholic then! God works in marvelous ways!

I guess we never know, right?

Add me as another having computer woes. DH's email was hacked then found out we had a computer virus. Finally got it back today!

I was a Protestant the first 40 years of my life before converting to Catholicism. Counting my prayers seemed so odd and The Rosary even odder, but now I would feel lost without my beads nearby and I love praying the daily Rosary. I hope I don't offend anyone by saying this. I love my earthly mother, but there have been many problems with our relationship. Part of what lead me to the Catholic church was I needed a Mother!

The ironic thing here is my Mom is very sick and my Brother gave my Protestant Mom Rosary beads. I will be seeing her this weekend and she told me she had something to give me that "she doesn't know what to do with", but I'm not to tell my brother!! I'm sure it's the Rosary and I'm not sure how to handle this!! Dh suggested I offer to teach her how to use it and if she says no then accept it..

I didn't mean to ramble on. I wish each of you a wonderful weekend and I'm sending a special prayer for those that can't be with their Moms or their children Sunday!

Thank you, Catholiccorgi for your kind response. I just wanted to make sure we offended no one and that it wasn't seen as lacking in proper humility. (I'd have loved to see the faces of the baptist women..God forgive me!) For a short time after my kids and I were on our own, we lived in a small town that had no Catholic church and I was uncertain of transportation. So, the children being really small, we attended a Methodist Church a block away. The pastor was so kind that he oddly seemed to take into account my being Catholic..I later found that in that congregation of 100 there were two other Catholic women (one even kept a statue of Mary outside her home). :) The rites of baptism and confirmation are the same as in the Catholic Church for Methodists. (But way back in my lineage..there were some Catholics..a lot :) )

I have been struggling today with my DH being in a "12 year-old" tantrum mode... and then I found this quote from Elizabeth Leseure, who died in 1914.
"Let us despise nothing:
Not any person, for in the worst of them there is the Divine Spark... which can always flame forth;
Nor ideas, for in all of them there is a grain of truth, which one must know how to discover;
Nor other people's actions, for we often are unaware of their motives and always unaware of their far-reaching and providential consequences."
Reading this, I know I must bear all things humbly, peacefully, and with the grace my Blessed Mother will give me, if I ask. I am above all to love.

I think some of the being uncomfortable, Gail, may be from your Protestant connections. A lot of Catholics were taught to keep track of prayers, etc. from when we were children. For me, it was a way to make sure I was consistent in my praying. It's not about the "quantity", but the quality that really matters... "counting prayers" is part of a bigger tradition that has been around for hundreds of years. Keeping track of prayers can help one to focus on why and what they are praying about...
www.catholic.com/ can offer some answers as why we "count" prayers, etc. It's a great link to ask any questions, and get a Catholic perspective on "Why?" we do things as Catholics.
I used to get really weird looks when I would say a Rosary at my Methodist Women's retreat...
I was raised Catholic, then left the Church, and returned six or so years ago. I have always said my Rosary. The Baptists did not take too kindly to me doing it...LOL!

Corgi, your new sports outlets sound exciting and wonderful...hope you get your voice back soon. And the joy of having a home and the same one for 30 years May? Fantastic.

I have a warped little concern..I'm used to very private stuff about prayers and the God thing (self conscious, it was a lot for me just to go through baptism and eucharist as an adult..but it's about God, not me)...does anyone else feel a bit strange, awkward, perhaps cheap somehow for taking 'credit' for prayers and tallying them? Gifts of love and all and not why I do this....

I think we need to write a love/hate song about our computer woes... LOL. ...and perhaps our weather woes too! Our home flooded many years ago when I was pregnant with our fourth child. I had just been told I was pregnant and two weeks later the Pearl River in La. rose over its banks. The rebuild on the house was completed just days before our new baby girl's birth. Wow... She will be 30 this year and the memories are flowing as if was all just yesterday... Oh and the computer woes, were just yesterday - and the day before that - and then 4 days earlier LOL... But here we all are at SPARK and so thankful for them. Smile.

A smile can make it all feel a little better. So, I go and smile at myself in the mirror. Shallow or what? But it works... My name is Kathy and I'm Pennsylvania.

Morning everyone! emoticon
How I wish the sun was shining here in NC! It's a chilly 59° and raining. We are under a flood watch. ARG!
The weekend was so nice! My bowling has improved, thanks to some coaching from people who know what they are doing! LOL!
Mass was wonderful yesterday morning, and the Oratory is allowing our priest to stay with us three more years...YAY! emoticon I believe he will have to retire then, though. We'll deal with that when the time comes... emoticon emoticon
The YMCA here has a "Miracle League" softball field for people with challenges, and it is a state of the art place! We cheered for a friend with cerebral palsy Saturday night, and that was the most exciting ball game I have ever been to! The JOY the young people had playing was contagious! Their spirit and determination was overwhelming. I have lost my voice from screaming! LOL! DH and I plan to go to every game this session we can attend! There are 2
8-week sessions. No one is refused the chance to hit the ball, make a run. EVERYBODY WINS! emoticon
Today is bowling and house blessing... what a combo! LOL!
Off now for TAG, coffee, and a bit of breakfast.
May everyone have a beautifully SPARKED day!
Peace be with you!

I agree computers can be a blessing and a curse! My Dh's email was hacked this week and it's been awful to deal with.

My problem lately has been human error! I signed up for an online writing class before I knew about the surgery. Determined not to get behind I let everything else slide the last couple of weeks to focus on class. Today I got an email from the Teacher. I somehow missed an email that informed us that assignments were due every other week so I'm two weeks ahead and she needs me to slow down until she gets them graded!! emoticon I feel silly, but now I really can catch up on other things and have a plan of action to stay that way!

emoticon CJ! Computers can be wonderful gifts, and such curses at the same time! I am still getting the e-mails, etc., but often I've not been able to get online. I get the notifications on my phone, which is nice, but I then proceed to forget I got them! LOL!
We've a busy weekend ahead... we're bowling with some PBA Pro's this afternoon! They are in the area for a big tournament, and we signed up for some coaching and to see some exhibition bowling, too. Tonight we go watch a friend's son play softball. He is 28, and has cerebral palsy. He is SO excited! One of the local YMCA has built a field especially for challenged people. There are teams, two innings of ball, and everybody gets a hit, a run, and EVERYBODY wins the game! God is so good!
I have more bowling on Sunday afternoon and Monday. It is my exercise of choice, and I love it! I was never really good at sports, but the physical and mental challenge of bowling has proved I am good at something considered a sport! LOL!
My using the Wii every day isn't a consistent streak, yet. But I am using it the days I do not bowl. It makes a difference in the stiffness I awake with, if I will use it. So I really need to do it every morning no mater what. What is 10- 15 minutes? Nothing!! My rebellious spirit just kicks in... no, my LAZY spirit! LOL! it will fall into a habit soon. I know!
Going to Mass for First Friday was nice. We sang two of my favorite songs. My voice may be coming back after all. PTL!
Off I go to get dressed to shoes(D2S) and have my TAG. I'm getting started really late today. DH got up at my usual 6am and wrangled the Corgis for me... being down to three dogs is odd... been fifteen years since I've had so few. God has a plan... the show ring hasn't seen the last of me!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
May God grant you peace!

Hello all!
I feel very frustrated lately. Starting last fall, I stopped getting notifications from sparkpeople when I received goodies. Now, recently, I have noticed that I do not get notifications when someone updates a thread/posts to a thread that I was following. Now, I don't get emails when a new thread is started either. I have asked twice on the technical boards for assistance, and tried the ideas suggested, but nothing seems to work.

I hope my dh can look at some of the info that I did not understand, and solve the problem.

I miss getting emails,a nd find it so time consuming to always check my page to see if anyone left a comment, or go to all my recent message board posts to see if anyone has replied to me. *sigh*

Therefore, if I seem to be "missing in action" on some threads, it is not because I don't wish to chat with anyone, it's simply because I have not thought to look in that particular place to see if there is chatting going on!

Wish me well!
cj

Welcome to the merry month of May... the month we dedicate to our Blessed Mother!
emoticon
Spent a few hours with the Sisters of Charity in Charlotte yesterday. It is a great gift to have them here... they live the Gospel, as their beloved Blessed MotherTeresa of Calcutta did.
What felt weird was that where they serve the poorest of the poor is the area where I grew up.
I helped with the after school program. I am not sure what plans the Lord has for me concerning these precious Servants of God, but He has given us a connection that I am very grateful for! When He shows the way, I will walk in it.
Off to early Mass today, then work.
Now for coffee and TAG!
May everyone have a blessed day!
Peace be with you!

Chelle I am so thankful you are feeling recovery happen... Blessings.

And YES! I do love my WiiFit. As a matter of fact, it is just about all I can do but along with Chelle and so thankful for recovery from surgeries. Maybe some day I'll be able to do more than drive into the walls with my Wii bicycle but it sure does make me laugh!!! Smile.

PA is full of the color depth which comes with rain. I do love it! Smile. Off to Mass I go. Smile. Blessings to all. Kathy

A smile can make it all feel a little better. So, I go and smile at myself in the mirror. Shallow or what? But it works... My name is Kathy and I'm Pennsylvania.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Balmy 57° here in NC this morning...
I have lots to do today, as I sort of took yesterday "off" and just went with the flow of the day. I really don't do that too often, but sometimes it is nice to switch things up a bit. emoticon
Today I have a meeting with my C-Pap tech, as it has been 3 months since I began using my unit. It has been a great gift from God! My life has changed for the better because of it... I have more energy, and think clearer. I am very grateful!
DH and I have Senior Bowling after lunch. This is my favorite form of exercise! My WiiFit is next... it helps keep me limber and this helps with the RA pain.
I'm off for my TAG, and I will be remembering you all in my prayers today!
Peace be with you!

Hello! It took me a bit longer to recover from surgery than I counted on, but I'm back and feel better than I have in years! Thank You All so much for your prayers.

Weather here is warm and sunny, but tomorrow should be rainy. Hope it will get rid of some of the pollen!

Good Morning!
I'm off to 8am Mass. We have bowling league this afternoon. Last night was the last session of our Church League. DH is going to miss it...
May everyone renew their spirit today, and have time to reflect and pray!

Hello all!

Life has been busy for me, too, so have missed my fellow Critters! My dh has been hired as the new principal of our K-12 Catholic school. He will be even busier next year as he takes on even more responsibility and learns the ropes! God has led him to this position, though, I am sure of it. Please pray for him, that the Good Lord will guide and lead him!

ANDROMEDA - I join with you and the rest of the team in praying for those affected by the bombings in Boston. Such a sad, tragic, senseless act! I hear that the second bomber has now been captured. I hope police are able to get proper answers now.

Resa and Leah - that is wonderful news that two new priests will soon be ordained!

Leah - that sounds like a wonderful workshop, but very intense, I am sure!

SNOWYOGA - I trust that you and all those in your area are safe after the severe weather?

MAYKATCOOPER - that sounds like it was a wonderful retreat! I'm so glad for you that you got to participate.

Janis - I don't think we thought you were gone, my dear! But I did miss seeing you around the boards. Sorry to hear that you have had a hectic time with your health and past surgery issues. So glad the docs are able to help you. All the best with finding a new doctor once your other one retires.

Dee - that must be frustrating to feel like you have to pull out all those hard-worked stitches on the scarf!

DEEDAYE - good to see you! Hope work settles down for you now.

May God continue to bless us all.

Good Morning Team,
Sorry I've been missing! Once I went back to work after spring break I immediately became swamped with work. I have some cleaning to do today. I'm still struggling with the eating, but I'll never give up! Praying for our country and all those affected by the tragedies this week. Have a great weekend!

Abundant Blessings, Dee

Yesterday's Mass was special for me, also. I am SO glad I went!
I am going to a workshop today www.prh-usa.com
This is the second 15 hours... It's called "Who Am I"? No only am I rediscovering who I am, to God, but to myself, too. It has helped me gain much understanding into my DH and his strokes. Sometimes we have to just embrace things as they are, and let God handle it.

I wanted to stop by and say "Hello!" Please don't think I left the Catholic Critters or Spark People. I've had a lot to do over the past several months. A Doctor was trying to help me with some issues which came about because of past surgeries. It has taken a lot of my time by doctor appointments , and then I'm changing to another Family Doctor because mine is retiring. Anyways it has been very hectic and somewhat crazy for me. I hope that soon, I will have things exactly as they should be,

Cursillo... Began and ended the day with Morning and Evening Prayers, Daily Mass, Adoration, 15 teaching segments, group discussion and sharing, accordion playing priest, food food food, lots of rain, Rosaries, books, friendships, rocking lay leaders, an amazing Hermit nun, Krispy Kreme Donuts, artwork, skits... OH MY. Cursillo is worldwide and is amazing! If you've never gone, you should pray about going. De Colores!

A smile can make it all feel a little better. So, I go and smile at myself in the mirror. Shallow or what? But it works... My name is Kathy and I'm Pennsylvania.

emoticon Good Morning! emoticon

I'm off to Mass! I will be lifting all of the CC Team members to the Lord for this day. How blessed we are, here in the US, to have so many opportunities to receive the Eucharist!

Resa, we have a deacon being ordained in May... isn't it great!?! Deacon Paul will become the newest priest of our Oratory of St. Philip Neri. How diligently we all need to pray for vocations!

It's going to be a beautiful, sunny Spring day here! May everyone have the brightest Sonshine in their hearts today, and be at peace!
