at not liking a name because of the connotations of something you already know with that name! DH is a teacher, so we had a heck of a time with names - every name it seemed was a student that was a troublemaker!
Jane? I think Jane is a wonderful name. And it being my middle name (cheryl jane) in no way influences my opinion of the name.

CJ-thanks for those ideas.... Thomas is a big no-no as I 'm not fond of hubby's brother with that name. LOL!! I did notice Bernadette on April's calendar-the day before my due date!! Today I got "Jane" in my head...wouldn't it be cute to have a little Janie??
Thank you for the ideas! We have a Stephen (middle name) and a Joseph. One of my thoughts for girl was Claire Therese which is the reverse of one of our goddaughter's names but I don't think hubby was too keen on it when I mentioned it. :( (he is SO difficult) Please, keep them coming!

My oldest, now 38, is Theodore Anthony which means "Gift of God, of great worth". He was named after 2 Grandfathers and I didn't know the meaning till after he was Christened. My daughter is Katherine Anne. The "e" was her own addition after Anne of Green Gables. Good luck!

What is your due date? Maybe use a version of whoever's feast day it is when your newest bundle of joy arrives? Of course, you'd have to look at a week or so around your due date and find names for each day :-)
I was thinking of asking for some help in getting name ideas for this new baby who is coming in April. We don't know boy/girl until birth but definitely has to be a Catholic saint or Biblical name. Here are our current kids' names so ya'll can see where we are: Anna Michelle Lauryn Elizabeth Gabriel Ryan JohnPaul Joseph Calhoun Alek Stephen Jacob Evan Jeremy Michael Grace Marie Kaelin Rose Daniel Benedict My favorite boy name right now is Dominik but no girl names are coming. And hubby's cousins are having babies and stealing the names that I do like!!! LOL!! (how DARE they??) Thanks for your input-I will be taking this seriously and writing those down that I really like. Hubby won't make any decision til baby is in our arms, but I like to research and think alot beforehand. AND..it's MY turn to pick the name. Last baby was his and poor Daniel had NO name for a whole week!!!
