Praying for all.

I ask God to grant health of mind, body, and spirit, for all who suffer with illness and disease.
I pray too for all those who struggle right now, especially Josh and Regan.

I pray for all those who are dying, and those who care for them.
I pray for all those who have died, that God will have mercy on them, and welcome them into His Heavenly home.

I pray for all who mourn, that God will comfort them in their grief.

I pray for all those who suffer after being in disasters, especially those still suffering from Hurricane Sandy.

I pray for all pregnant women, especially my nephew's wife, Leanne; Alyssa, Mihaela, and Louise, that God will keep them and their little ones safe in His arms.

I pray for all Catholic Critters, especially for all new members, that God will guide them on their healthy journeys.

Lastly, I pray for all unspoken intentions, that God will hear them all.

please pray for my ex-brother-in-law who was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer that had spread to his lungs and lymphs... He's a really great guy and has been through so much adversity in his life, from the time he was a young kid..... He's determined to beat this but he looks soooo sickly at this time and the prognosis isn't great.... But, I also know God is GREAT and miracles do come to us....

I have a book that I re-read often. The author is the Reverend Robert Schuller and is titled "Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do." It is inspiring on all levels of overcoming those down times. I am not sure if it is still in print but I strongly suggest it as a part of everyone library.

I am praying that you will feel better, Dolphinsinger72! I thought I'd NEVER stop crying when I lost my beloved cat, Anthony 13 yrs ago. I still cry sometimes when I see pix of him.

Here is a little saying I heard a while ago:

Praying for all! Just wanted to let people know that son #2 is doing very well and paid for his second quarter of school himself. And he is being sweet, too. Now he just needs to get back to mass! For all of the people suffering from the weather and for all of our fallen away Catholics! And sorry to hear about your bunny. I lost my beautiful guinea pig a long time ago and cried for weeks!

Please pray for the soul of a 13 yr old girl who was SHOT TO DEATH TODAY ON A SCHOOL BUS by a FELLOW STUDENT! Her 7 yr old sister was ALSO on the bus!
The details have NOT been fully revealed; but WHAT THE HELL was he doing with a GUN on the bus & WHY was he taking the gun to school?

So many lives RUINED by a SINGLE BULLET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes - me too.

Dear Lord, be with all people in the path of this new storm. Blow it out to sea, or have it blow itself out without any harm to any one, or anything, and without damage to more property. Keep all of them safe, Lord, and grant all those still reeling from the other storms their basic needs; help them obtain clean, safe water, and the food they need, and help them as they deal with housing issues, and insurance problems.

That's GREAT TO HEAR! I could use a little "GOOD NEWS" today. I just got off the phone with a former neighbor. She told me she has lung cancer (NEVER SMOKED A CIGARETTE...but was SURROUNDED by 2nd hand smoke). She also told me a friend I lost touch with died this morning. Tomorrow would have been her birthday, too! She had been sick a LONG time & was in a rehab. RIP, JO ANN! May you FINALLY be at peace!

To all who sent up prayers when I asked back in September-THANK YOU!! The little boy is back home with his family, all attempts to cut their parental rights have been dropped b/c of no evidence against them! Also, the 24 yr old and 17 yr old are both rehabbing and relearning basic tasks. God is good!

Asking for prayers for my cousin, Russell, who was recently killed in a motorcycle accident. He had not practiced his faith for years. Did not want any kind of funeral or memorial at all. May God have mercy on his soul!

thank you and each day is a new challenge here ,, the emergency sirens go off constantly and the amount of helicopters leaving the hospital to another or an accident a lot .. I live 2 blocks from the hospital we have a volunteer fire co and ambulances here we are a small town

How can any of us not feel compassion for those who were hit with hurricane Sandy? It is very sad, and then to hear how they are feeling abandoned. Where did all the help and promises go? I hope help comes soon.

My brother lives in Queens, NY. He was cleaning the snow off his car yest. & when he finished, he walked to the store. He was back in 15 min. & the empty parking spot next to his car where he had been standing NOW HAD A GIANT TREE LIMB in it! Had he NOT gone to the store it would have fallen on his HEAD! My friend in Great Neck said HER HOUSE was 41 inside. Just like a 'frige! LOL Some of those that GOT power; lost it AGAIN bc of the snow storm.
GOD HELP THESE PEOPLE. I feel so bad for them & those that have NOTHING to return to when all this mess is cleaned up; bc getting power back means NOTHING when you don't have a PLACE TO LIVE!

When we have Masses said for an anniversary, birthday, death, for an end to abortion or some special and/or personal intention, it is always made out to the Church where the Mass is going to be said.
To all those who have been through that monstrous & horrific hurricane Sandy( and may be getting another storm), you are in my countinuous prayers. May God give each of you the strength and Grace to bear it. May you feel a deeper union with Him and feel special Graces through it all.

Thank you. I did some checking on google searches and some answers said the priest and some said the church. I finally did call my church and they said to make it out to the church.
The request is for my 89 yr old father who will have out pt. surg on the 15th. Pray he tolerates anesthesia well and skin cancer cells are all removed via surgically.

our church is 10 dollars a mass, flowers, communion, altar candles and tabernacle candles are also 10 a week

We buy Masses from the rectory. The people who work there tell you who to pay. Depending on the church;,some Masses are $10., some are $5.00, & some, you just make a donation in whatever amount you want.
When I got married almost 13 yrs ago, the price of the Mass was $500.00 payable to the church.
It was worth EVERY PENNY!

That's right. I always think of women who for years had no right to vote, and suffered many things in order to be able to.

Manitoban women got the right first in Canada (can you tell I'm a proud Manitoban?).

The year was 1916 for our province - and we received the right on my birthday, January 28!

The rest of Canada followed, and all women could vote by the end of 1917.

I think women in the States could vote in 1920, is that right?

Haven't heard anything more about Sophia since my last post.
My heart goes out to the "Sandy" victims. So many have NOTHING now. I don't know HOW they will find the strength to carry on; BUT THEY MUST!
My friend in NY is STILL without elec. & WILL BE until AT LEAST NEXT MONDAY. THAT will be 2 wks! It's getting COLD there, too! I spoke with my brother & he said gas is STILL hard to get; but it is FLOWING again, little by little!
This storm happened at such a BAD TIME; esp. with the election on Tues.
EVERYONE WHO CAN, MUST GET OUT & VOTE!

We ALL need to pray for EVERYONE in the path of "SANDY"! That storm is wreaking havoc on SO MANY STATES. It is gonna cost a FORTUNE in repairs. I don't even want to hazard a guess at how much it will cost if sea/salt water gets down into the subway lines~!
AND.............SNOW is getting dumped on a few states, too!
There will be so many power outages!
