I got another update from them yesterday. The doctor said Abby is recovering beautifully from the surgury and I believe will now begin physical therapy. There is of course still a lot of pain but it is a lot more managable. We are still a little concerned for Pat since he is now getting her in and out of bed, the chair and the car so we are praying he will remain physically strong enough for her to handle it all.
Thank you again for all your prayers they are very much appreciated!

Added this to my prayer list. May God bless, guide and protect them all!
Step into the unknown with confidence! Trust that in the darkness of that first step there will either be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly! Nothing tastes as good as living with less pain feels!
Prayers for both, and for strength for the family members, too.

All in good time...and with the help of my friends.
Today: I pray to shift the way I approach life, to move deliberately and consciously, to become attentive.
SparkPeople editor Stepfanie says: At some point you realize that life is just that: life. Ups, downs, good, bad, it's all just life. It all balances out, and letting every little bump in the road sideline you is no way to live.
A friend from work just requested some prayers for her neighbor who is suffering from anorexia and is being sent to rehab. She admits she has a problem but has not been able to do anything on her own or with her current counselors.
and an update on my friend's SIL Abby, she is home recovering, she was is a great deal of pain because the nerve blockers they gave her did not last very long. Her only option is heavy pain meds which she can barely tolerate so she is dealing with A LOT of pain and her poor husband Pat is a real trooper. He said he knows it has to be really bad because she has never complained about the many other problems they have dealt with since she was first paralyzed so any prayer for strength you could send their way would be greatly appreciated as well.
