I'm really happy for those who will be welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil!

Wow - such fantastic experiences here - I haven't been doing what I should this Lent as far as making changes or sacrifices - however, we have been having a Parish Mission this week - it started on Palm Sunday and will go through tomorrow night - talk about blessings - I was with the choir singing during the Mission services (only a handful of the choir members showed, but that is OK) - Tuesday night there were confesssions and so many people took advantage of that opportunity which was great - tonight, of course, we have a special Holy Thursday service as well as Good Friday services tomorrow. I will hate to see this mission end and hope that we can have them more frequently in our parish!

I am happy to see that this Holy Week is, indeed, very special for all of you. It is for me, too...one of my favorite times of year in our Church Calendar. It has been, for me, a beloved tradition to spend most of Good Friday in Church; I enjoy it even more than Easter celebration. I will miss the Lenten Season, but hope that my spiritual growth has increased. God bless you all.

Well, I started crying on Palm Sunday toward the end of the reading and pretty much haven't stopped. I am to be confirmed at the Easter Vigil - Mary Katharine Pio - I am the RCIA female volunteer to have my feet washed on Holy Thursday. I am so thankful for this past year and full of hope for the years ahead. My hope is in the LORD and I look forward to serving Him in the Catholic church while awaiting His glorious return. Happy and most blessed Easter to you all.

A smile can make it all feel a little better. So, I go and smile at myself in the mirror. Shallow or what? But it works... My name is Kathy and I'm Pennsylvania.

Donna, what a precious story! Our priest has told for the last several years a similar story of an over 80 man who decided to go through RCIA because his wife asked him to---he told the priest when asked why all of a sudden did he decide this 'Well, no one ever asked me to become Catholic before!' I hope all goes well with you and your very special family.

My younger son's fiance's son will be baptized, will make his 1st Communion, and be confirmed at the Easter vigil. It will be a special time for our family, too.

Blessings for a wonderful Holy Week,

Mary

All in good time...and with the help of my friends.

What a special week this will be for your family!
I am working long days all this week... so I will be making my TAG(Time Alone w/God) special for ME all week. God is so good! He provides what we need when we need it!

Step into the unknown with confidence! Trust that in the darkness of that first step there will either be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly!

How is everyone's Holy Week going?
Our family is looking forward to an exciting week!
Our youngest, Zebby (7 yrs.) will be making his first Sacrament of Penance right before Holy Thursday's Mass. (My husband will have his feet washed again, which he's not really looking forward to, hahaha! Good for an increase of the virtue of humility, right? ;-)
Then on Friday I'm reading during the Liturgy of the Commemoration of Our Lord's Passion, where we will venerate the Cross. Later, at 3 o'clock, our Priest is going to lead us in the Divine Mercy Chaplet, to kick off the Novena. Then that evening is our last Soup Supper & Stations of the Cross.
Then at the Easter Vigil on Saturday night, Zebby and my 80 yr. old mother will both make their First Holy Communion!!! That is what we are all excited about over here! My mom was raised Lutheran, my dad Catholic. Even though my mom wasn't Catholic, she sent me to parochial schools and made sure I got all my Sacraments. This year she blurted out, "I've always wanted to become Catholic." We were like, "WHAAA..?!?" (Since my husband, her son-in-law, is the RCIA teacher, for crying out loud! HAHAHA!) We were like, "You never mentioned this before!" Our Priest said due to her age and her poor health, get her in! So we are *thrilled* for her! And Zebby can't WAIT to "receive Jesus into his heart"! SO sweet.
I hope everyone is having a great week! Can't wait to party on Easter!!! (In a holy way, I mean! ;-)
