Good for you for signing up!
Here we have the Catholic Women's League, which is I assume something very similar. There are a number of committees to get involved with as you choose, and they have pot luck dinners a couple of times a year.
I hope yours will be more interesting for you than mine was for me. I found the meetings rather tedious, with minutes being read, a treasurer's report and so on. Then there was either a speaker or a discussion on a particular topic; I went to a couple of meetings, but found that there was so much 'regulated' talking going on, it was actually hard to get to know anyone.
I really hope you'll go to yours and that it will appeal to you, and you'll get to know some people! The meetings I went to just weren't my 'cup ot tea', but I hope it will be different for you.
Good luck!

My church has that group but they meet during the day and since i work i don't know what they are all about.
i am really impressed that you are strong enough and courageous enough to sign up with a group. I have wanted to join groups but since i am also extremely shy i find it very hard to do so.

Sorry, I'm not a member myself, so do not about their activities, etc.

But good for you for signing up, despite your usual shyness. That must have been a huge step for you!

It is stewardship month at my parish and there was a stewardship fair last weekend with booths. I joined the Ladies Auxiliary which is a big step for me. I'm kind of shy and awkward at anything social at all. If you are a member, can you tell me a little bit about the Ladies Auxiliary at your parish and the type of activities the group is involved in. The wonderful lady that encouraged me to sign up says its lots of fun.
