I want to thank all who have prayed for my father-in-law. Today was his surgery, and there were some things to praise about.
The doctor believes they got all the tumor! They did need to do a tracheotomy, but say it is temporary. The good news is that they did not need to cut into his jaw! Thank You, Lord! He is understandably miserable, and doesn't handle coming out of anesthesia very well.
Mom is exhausted, but trying to be stoic. Val is a good patient, and has a desire to be well in order to have as much time with family as possible. Yet I know that if this mouth cancer takes him, he's at peace with that as well.
Thanks, and keep the prayers coming. He and MIL say thanks a whole bunch to all of you I've told them so much about. I tell them this group is the most incredible when it comes to prayer. Y'all rock!
