I am so sorry for your family's continued stress and troubles. Prayers for successful treatments for your sister and her husband.
Mary Houston, TX.
All in good time...and with the help of my friends.
Today: I pray to shift the way I approach life, to move deliberately and consciously, to become attentive.
SparkPeople editor Stepfanie says: At some point you realize that life is just that: life. Ups, downs, good, bad, it's all just life. It all balances out, and letting every little bump in the road sideline you is no way to live.
Praying as I type. Lord, you know Ron is precious to Ginger and to many others. Please be with him through this treatment. Send Your healing down on him. Give him strength, joy even in the midst of his suffering, and peace in all things. I ask blessings for the family, the doctors and other caregivers involved. May he make a marvelous recovery if this be Your will, Lord. You are the author of all life, and know what we need. I ask that you send your angels to surround Ron and his family so that they truly feel Your comfort and love Amen. Kate.

I am asking for prayers for my brother-in-law. My sister had both breasts removed in September and has just finished chemo. She is also bipolar, so this is even more difficult for her to handle.
I am copying the email I received from my sister:
To all my family and friends -
I am writing this to ask for your prayers and support for my husband, Ron. Three years ago he was diagnosed with leukemia (CML). In the past couple of months, things have not gone well. After going on 3 of the FDA drugs available (which didn't work), his only option was to participate in a clinical trial. He has a rare mutation that works around the medications they have available. The clinical trial only made him much worse and a bone marrow transplant seems to be his last option. It's a very dangerous and long process. He was in a Philadelphia blast (6% last as of last week). When and if he has to do the transplant it will be at Moffitt Cancer Hospital, in Tampa, FL. Not exactly sure when we will find out for sure.
We have an appt. this Thursday and Friday. It is a long process and the odds aren't as good as we would like (60% chance that he makes it the first year). He will be in isolation for one month and then live at Moffitt (it's a big campus w/living arrangements for family) for 4 more months, which will be the most critical time for him. He will need 24/7 caregivers which will be me and his mom. He just turned 46 May 26th.
Moffitt has a very good reputation. One of the best in the country. He is so young to have this awful cancer. I love him with all my heart and soul. He is my husband, best friend and soul mate. It's in God's hands that he pulls through this. I want to thank you all because I know you will be there for us, just like you were when I went through my cancer. Please, God, wrap your arms around my husband and keep him well. Praying that a miracle happens and he won't have to go through with a transplant.
Thank you for your prayers.
Love you xoxo
Thank you so much, fellow Sparkers, for your prayers!!
