I have asked for prayer for three very special people lately. The first is my nephew Perry, who almost died when mono went rogue. We thought it was a reaction to antibiotice, but it was that his body was so weak from fighting infection that the mono took hold.
He was supposed to go back to school for the first time today, but caught a cold. They are taking no chances as he is so very gaunt and has so little energy still. His mom and all of us thank you for your prayers. She says that's the only way he recovered. I praise God, as the faith has been absent from their home. May God continue to draw them close to Him!
The second is my brother-in-law Nick. He is fighting lung cancer which spread to bones in the spine. He is having a bone and CT scan this Friday. Please pray that there is no growth and if possible, that the lung tumor, which has stayed static, will have shrunk. He also has never been faith filled. He says he doesn't know how it all works, but there must be something to all this prayer stuff!
The third is my German sister princess Renate. I call her sister, because I grew to love her son who was our first exchange student. I call her princess, because the last time she had cancer, four years ago, she struggled a lot. I told her she needed to let others care for her as she was a princess. It's been our joke ever since.
She has a return of her first cancer from 1999. It has spread to her brain and lung. Radiation is finished. A few weeks ago her son told me they were just waiting for the end as her behavior was so random and she just wanted to die.
The doctors changed her meds, and she is now able to sleep and converse normally. She has taken some interest in life again.
I know that in all three cases, the prayers of those on this team have done so very much. May all who even whispered a prayer in passing be abundantly blessed for your prayerful support and love. You all are the best.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
