I often have EWTN on while I am cleaning, cooking, etc... My daughter use to come through and would always have something nasty to say about it.

Finally, I made her say why it bothered her so much and as it turns out it was convicting her of her sinful ways. She knew that it was she who was doing wrong, not me. Her very slow journey back has started though I'm not sure that she even realizes it yet. She is no longer nasty when she walks through the room and sees it on.

That's from where I know that name!!!! I have seen one of the Crossing the Goal programs.

We don't watch spectator sports here so it is easy for me to miss that.

I have had EWTN on all day today watching lots of dvr'd programs like Fr. Corapi.

Use2bagoddess, Danny Abramowitz was a receiver for New Orleans during the Archie Manning days. He now hosts "Crossing the Goal" on EWTN. He's very active in a national outreach ministry to Catholic men.

My young children used to watch all the time, and today one of my older daughters asked the youngest why she doesn't. Her reply was that she doesn't know when the shows come on! We told her.
I watch it some times, but not that often. I cannot concentrate on TV due to family, so I don't watch the talk shows/lectures/etc. even if I'm interested. emoticon I would like to watch more. I also don't listen to radio except in the vehicle. I used to listen often, but now the house we're in doesn't allow much radio, so I have gotten out of the habit the past 20 years. And I can't sit at the computer and listen to programs or watch them, due to family! My husband just changed out my computer monitor because the old one was breaking, and this one doesn't have sound, so I'm Really not listening to things on it!emoticon

Hey, Gypsyheart, we have Immaculate Heart radion here, too. I'm a regular contributor. Unfortunately, it's not a really strong signal, and each time there's storm, we can't get it. I bought a particular radio because it picks up weak signals better.
As a cradle Catholic who fell away and came back, I love The Journey Home. I've learned so much. His Deep in History series are so fantastic! The one on the counterreformation was riveting. I got it for my husband for Christmas a year ago, and we inhaled the set.

The Journey Home is one of my favorites. I always watich it. Growing up Catholic there is so much that I took for granted. I always find it interesting and learn quite a bit listening to others explain their transition to the church.

I am not aware of the Danny A. presentations though his name does sound familiar.

We watch EWTN. They have some really great programs that we both enjoy. I especially like the "Coming Home" shows and the Danny Abramowitz presentations.

I have not watched TV in about 7 years, but I do listen to Immaculate Heart Radio, which broadcasts many EWTN programs. I like all of the people mentioned by PLAYITFORWARD.

I used to watch EWTN all the time, but life is pretty hectic right now and I don't watch much of anything. I'll watch it again when I'm off work in the summer.

I used to watch a bit of EWTN, but we got rid of Cable TV, as nobody was watching TV. We had a good Catholic radio station here, with some of the good stuff. We get Fr. Korapi, Fr. Mitch, Marcus Grodi, and Fr. Pavone. I with I could have seen the Shakespeare we heard about. I'm going to look on NetFliks. I'm surprised at what you can find there. It's not all junk!

You can sometimes rent the movie from some Catholic stores. I buy used movies from ebay all the time and then sell some of them again.†

Here is one from Hong Kong. I ordered it just now!

I watch EWTN also, although I've only recently started to. I did see part of 'The Miracle of Lourdes', but was only able to watch for a while. I saw a movie, I think it was called 'The Song of Bernadette' when I was a teenager, and I remember crying very hard at the end of it. I would love a chance to see it again.

I love EWTN. I dvr both of Mother Angelica's shows.

I recently saw a program called Demographic Bomb that was really mind opening and enlightening. I can't look at anything the same now.

The Theater of the Word this week was a one man plan about the life of Pope John Paul (early life).

WOW! It was part one and I have part set to record next Saturday. It is rivoting!

There are some really good programs on EWTN.

Last night I watched "The Miracles of Lourdes." It was a great program that showed the pilgrimage of people who go to the Grotto and pray, and also bathe in the Holy water for healing. I have some of that water from one of my charities I donate to often. When I was a child I watched the story of St. Bernadette. My father has tapes and DVDs of the Catholic miracles of different Saints. I love the stories. I own a DVD with the story of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. †
