How wonderfully refreshing is America's new president! Sarah, I could never watch GB either. This is 180 degrees for our country. Change is surely happening almost hourly.
I can't remember who said it, but it struck me as true. It was on TV recently: "Republicans aren't good at running the country. They are in their arena when blocking the Democrats from almost anything they try to achieve."
I think they have met their match, now!

On second thought, I'm thinking we do not so much create our own lives as we are created by what happens to us and those we love.
They say, there is always a choice - but I'm not so sure there really is.
Just as I expected. He was Great. Hubby and I both sat and watched his press conference. We looked back and forth at each other and knew what the other was thinking. Finally hubby said, "we finally have a President that can actually talk in full sentences and also pronounce the words correctly and doesn't constantly blink his eyes". He was right on point and I am so proud of him. Lin
Yes, it was Chris Matthews that said he can only speak with a teleprompter. That's just crap. He is so real. It's such a rare treat to actually be able to trust again. He comes across as so honest and open.

I wouldn't watch GB because it upset so much to actually hear him. I waited for the sound bites on the news. This time, I sat enthralled, shushing my husband so I wouldn't miss a word. What a great change.

It is wonderful to have a leader who talks in complete sentences, and actually gives some thought before he opens his mouth. He avoided a few questions, which surprised me. But overall, I was happy with him.

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results."
I was so impressed once again. He explained his ideas on the stimulous bill so well and in plain English. Those republicans are so pig headed they probably smell like bacon! I am so grateful HE is our president!
