My first thoughts were of my Lesbian sister that just got married in California right before the slap in the face prop 8. (they have been together over 30 years) But I know Obama is a genius and has a plan. I trust him and am so excited to see what he does next!

Keith, That's one of our duties as Americans, to openly review and question our leader's decisions, isn't it?!
I'm trying to teach my children that too, to look at decisions that are made by people in positions of authority and question if they're right or wrong.
Because the schools have zero-tolerance policies, our children are being taught to blindly accept restrictions and authority. Although I grew up in the '80s, my brother and sisters grew up in the 60's and 70's and taught me that it was up to us to monitor the people in charge. Bush has given us a great deal of material for teaching the kids about bad decisions and giving up our freedom. Now Obama will set a good example so that the kids can grow up seeing the difference.

I agree that Obama has a reason for all of his choices. He thinks outside the box... something a lot of people have difficulty doing. Including myself at times. He is a remarkable man and a great thinker.

That is good news, and I am happy with several of Obama's appointments. I don't think I'll agree with him on everything, but, that doesn't mean he's wrong - just that we disagree.
I will always point out what I believe to be odd decisions by anyone in power --- it's what I do. Not even those I love are given a free pass. Usually it's done with an intent to open dialogue -- I'm not in charge of what's right and wrong...and for that we can all be grateful!
