From my view in Texas, I am amazed at how some people twist McSames stupidity and think he is really doing something good. I got in DH's car and he had his radio set for the "hate radio" he listens to (ie conservative talk radio) and they had 2 buffoons saying how stupid it was for Obama to think that debates are important. They obviously don't think the public should hear from the candidates and that the public is incapable of thinking. I really hate hypocrisy and I am sick of the repugnican spin machine. Sara

I have two primary opinions on why/how this happened. First, the lil good ole boys got together and decided to make it LOOK like mccain is needed to fix the economy, and when a deal is hammered out, he could be the savior... the media not mentioning, of course, that it was OUR FREAKING MONEY that did it. Secondly, I think he wanted the veeps to debate first, hoping palin would raise his poll numbers, so he could go into the next debate, which would now be the first pres debate) with stonger numbers. I believe it is time to stick a fork in Mccain. He's done.

WELL DUH! His little stunt may cost him quite a few votes. He did manage to dominate the news and take the focus off of his past mistakes for a day or so...but that's about it. I can't wait to see how many times he mentions his "sacrifice" during the debate. I'm proud of the way Obama took the high road instead of the "bait" from the press. He could have really slammed McCain, but he played it cool. Oh, how I hope the "fence sitters" can see through this B.S. and realize there is a chance for our country to come back to the people when Obama takes office. PEACE

I think he figured out that he didn't have a choice. That his supporters (thinning everyday-in numbers and in hair lol) would not understand his not being there. It would just make him look chicken. I think this whole campaign 'suspension' fiasco was a huge mistake on his part. Yay!

Yes, Johnny. We believe you and your strong sense. Boy, did your little ploy backfire on you, didn't it. Polls fell. You looked more befuddled than usual.
I'll either stay up or get up to watch at 3AM my time.
I do hope Obama makes his points quickly. He's eloquent, but psychiatrists are saying that "people" can't concentrate that long... whatever it takes.
