I miss Longwood Gardens. Went to college near Philly, but haven't been back much. It's such a gorgeous place we talked about getting married there... Glad it's still wonderful.

It was chilly, windy and rainy---but most of all it was lovely. I finally got to see the Italian water gardens ---beautiful ----and the conservatory was beautiful---whatever interests you can be found in there---Hope to do a blog with pictures eventually. Think it was peonies that were in bloom on the bushes--we went by Winterthur and their sign said the peonies were in full bloom so figured that is what they were. If one loves orchids there is a whole room dedicated to that---so many different kinds and colors. I did not go where the tulips might have been---but a little late for them although as cold as we have had it they might still have been in bloom. I think every time of the year has something special there---and would love to go for the Christmas show. It is a lovely place to go stroll and wander around on any day---cold and wet in the conservatory---hot in the shade of the many tree lined paths. If you like tropical plants there are a wide variety in the conservatory and a room devoted to hibiscus and roses. And there are bonsai trees on show there that are amazing. Longwood also hosts musical nights and fireworks during the summer months. too.

LeCates, I saw you went to Longwood Gardens this weekend (tho it looked a tad rainy!)

Can you tell us about it, and what you liked? I've been meaning to get back. Haven't visited for years. I used to do a show called "Best of the Class" there every year around this time.
