Finally reaching springtime temps in the South Okanagan of BC, ie North Okanagan, WA. It was such a pleasure to have the doors and windows open and to work outside without a coat or my fingers going numb.

Central Arizona (5500 ft) is very windy today. It would be great if some of those clouds flying by would leave a little precipitation behind!
It did - we got a little much needed rain and hail.

Minnesota near the Mississippi & Rum River...It's a chilly day in the neighborhood 35F! So a warm "Good Morning Team!" Today, barring rain, I get outside to garden! My Rhododendrons, forsythia & star magnolias are in bloom!!Plan to hang my laundry on the clothesline IF it warms up! And I am doing the happy dance. because...while I haven't lost weight I now have visible measurements ...thinner fingers, smaller wrists, waist into smaller swim suit AND I can now wear the lovely clothes that were purchased prior to my surgery years ago...

Raining and I'm smiling because I worked in the garden yesterday AND was able to get all the laundry hung outside on the clothesline....because we had thunderstorms last night and more rain expected today. My houseplants on the deck were blown over and out of their saucers. The ground is too wet to work in today so I will have to do inside work for today..My forsythia was about ready to burst open yesterday with the rain that came I expect to see a glow of color surrounding me when the sun comes out...and the lilacs have nice fat buds too...NEVER have they budded up so quickly...in the past we had to wait until May for them to get this far along and the rhodos are not far behind...so far only the crocus are blooming and only leaves but no daffodils, tulips or hyacinths or star of bethlehem. Who knows perhaps everything will burst forth for Easter! Have a great day!

Snowed for about an hour early this afternoon. Early this evening it snowed for a couple hours. 1 degree celcius today. The temperature must of dropped, to below zero as is looks pretty icy out on the roads.

At 5:30 am on Cape Cod, Mass. it was 50 degrees! The 10 inches of snow from Saturday has disappeared.
Stocked up for what ever I need. Don't plan to step a foot outdoors, till it warms a bit! Maybe I shoulda, coulda, woulda, move to Australia when I had the urge to do so 40 years ago! I think this just shows I'm a slow learner

In the central Okanagan it snowed off and on through the night, though very tiny snowflakes, accumalation, minimal just enough to dust th surface of an flat surface. This morning, a drizzly mixture of rain and snow.

Here in South Mississippi, the morning was in the upper 40s, and the temp evened out into the 50s. Beautiful blue sky. I worked in the yard (pulling weeds) and plan to do the same for the next day or so.
Gotta take advantage of nice weather!

Very strong winds early this morning. Could hear the wind howling as I sat at computer, sipping a morning coffee. Wind has died down a wee bit! No clouds in sight, blue skies, sunny. North winds 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low minus 9.

Around 8am this morning, looked out the window, as I was sipping on a coffee. Oh, dear the sky looks like snow is coming again. By 11 am miniture dry snowflakes began to fall.
I started to watch TV, must have been pretty boring what ever channel I had on, as fell asleep. Waking hours later to fresh snow on the ground and those miniture snowflakes, coming down fast and furious.
At 6:40 pm it is still snowing but at a snails pace. Must be getting too cold for those wee snowflakes to fall.

It was gloomy this morning and then it rained a little. Later the sun came out, went away and came back again. The weather gods couldn't make up their minds! Now it's clear, because there's a beautiful moon out.

That's a bit of bad luck, but he's lucky he can have someone take over his shift.
It's going to be hectic for you running after a 2 1/2 year old. I don't think my knees could stand up to it.
Thankfully it's cooled down considerably here today, that's why I was able to do some work outside, I have well and truly had it at the moment and may have an old fart nap this afternoon.

Jule - It was sun and clouds today, took my grandaughter for a walk today. I have to take the sun gradually or else my skin burns. I don't get a dark tan when I do tan.
My son inlaw had a bad fall and got a hairline crack in his upper leg bone, he is off work for a couple months. My daughter is working his shift 7pm - 6am. Obviously they have the same employer. My son inlaw brings my grandaughter to my place, to keep their home quiet, so my daughter gets enough sleep during the day. Doctors orders he has to keep his weight off his leg, as much as possible for it to heal more quickly. With a 2 1/2 year old that is almost impossible. I am taking care of my grandaughter, 4 days a week, now till everything goes back normal.

I don't hang about in the sun when it's that hot. I tan on the arms and torso, but my legs are lily white no matter what sun hits them.
The dry heat I can handle, I hate the sticky weather.
Closed up the house, drew the curtains and put the AC on @10.30am, I overdid it yesterday (hot as well) and made myself a little ill. So I'm snoozing and lazing today!!

Jule - Does your skin tan or burn from the sun? WOW that is very hot! Some days in the summer in the Okanagan we can reach 36 to 38 celcius. It is a dry heat not like the coast, of B.C. Though the coast doesn't get that high of temperatures, the humidity makes it feel like 38 celcius.
First day of 2012 - it was cloudy but no rain or snow.

Windy, overcast but still warm. I got 5 loads of washing dry so I can't complain.
