Terri, try spraypainting them----and maybe some bold bright colors would brighten them up.

these are some great ideas! I have a couple of metal headboards in my flower bed, but I can't say that they look all that great. For some reason, this stuff always looks better in someone else's yard... :-/

Railed you could use them as something for plants to grow up----vines of flowers are even for beans or tomatoes.
Could also be used to create a circus train effect in a child's room with animals painted behind or peeking over the top---or even slanted on a wall to hold stuffed animals or toys.
Or if have large enough laundry room---put on hinges to fold down and be used as a sweater drying rack.

The ends are railed. I looked around a bit online. Didn't see anything that caught my eye. They are out in the shed for now. Would make super cute gates... Summer project I think ~~I have curtains to make for that back bedroom (my son moved out in Jan. was his room)...and stuff ALL OVER THE FLOOR in the other one.

Are they solid or railed? Could use them outside as ends of a flower "bed" And good uses of the sides.

I have dismantled my old crib which was used for our first granddaughter.. With the new regulations regarding drop sides, I am not comfortable using it again. I am hanging the sides on the wall.. one in the kitchen to hang pots and some of my vintage linen collection, the other will be int he other room holding fabrics near my sewing machine...
Any ideas for the ends? I have seen benches made out of them but not really wanting a bench..
