Chris Young was placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 2 prior to the Mets' 4-2 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday. New York replaced him in the rotation with Dillon Gee and on the active roster with left-hander Pat Misch, who will work out of the bullpen for the foreseeable future. Johan Santana was moved to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Misch on the 40-man roster. Santana is still recovering from shoulder surgery and could return in July.
