#1: Take a swig of a sports energy drink, swoosh in your mouth and spit it out. It tricks your brain into thinking an energy boost is on the way without the added calories.

#2: Reprogram your tastebuds using a sugar splash (this is kind of for those whole don't like vegetables): Put a splash of brown sugar (or brown sugar water) on your vegetables.

#3: Make food taste better: Make it crunchy. Studies show that we tend to like, enjoy and eat foods that are crunchy.

#4: Sound of Silence: Studies have shown that people enjoy food more when eaten in quieter settings.

Ultimate Antioxidant Guide:

#1: YELLOW and ORANGE FOODS: Provide vitamin A which promotes healthy organs and enhances white blood function which helps bacteria and viruses or anything that wants to attack us. Vitaman A boosts our immunity and protect us. Helps prevent cancers, heart attacks and even depression.

Cook carrots whole which helps to keep as much nutrients in as possible. The most bang for your nutritional buck.

Bananas: The riper the banana, the higheer the antioxidant level.

#2: GREEN FOODS: They are like the bodies little soldiers.

Parsley: The fresher the better

Cabbage: Combine greens with Vitamin C (like mandarin oranges or strawberries) for maximum Iron absorption.

#3: PURPLE FOODS: These contain Anthocyanins. They do double duty. They go in and help to prevent damage and then they help to heal the damage that has already been done by some of the cells.

The more deep the hue is.. the better. Promotes very strong eye health; relaxes the vessels which reduces our risk for heart attack and stroke. Studies have shown that Cabernet Wine has the most antioxidants but moderation is key. Women can have 1 glass per day and Men can have 2 glasses per day.

Out of all the colors GREEN FOODS are the most important. Most healthy communities in the world have tons of GREEN foods in their diet. Living longer having less disability.

Rejuvinate your body in a 24 Hour Antioxidant diet. Get your nutrients through whole foods and not supplements. Whole foods work together to increase their potency.

Breakfast Power Smoothie: This combo really arms us, it's like our shield of armour when we walk out. It protects from all of those things that are going to hit us during the day that may cause harm to our health.

When you buy the berries at the store shake the container alittle bit and if they don't move freely and they are kind of stuck together it means there is alittle bit of mold and that mold can actually bring down the amount of antioxidants.

1/2 Cup Wild Blueberries
1/2 Cup Blackberries
1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup Rasberries
1 Cup Unsweetened Pomegranate Juice

ONE-TWO PUNCH LUNCH: Alot of Licapin. When you heat tomatoes it brings out the licapin out of the cell wall and that helps with all the benefits that licapin does for us. When we combine tomatoes with broccoli helps in the reduction of prostate cancer. Cooking broccoli tip: Lightly steam to get the most antioxidants out of your broccoli.

1 Cup Tomato Soup
Green Salad with Kale & 1 Cup of Broccoli Florets

DOUBLE DUTY DINNER:

Salmon (Poached or Steamed)
Artichoke & Sweet Potato Gratin
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 1/4 Cup Artichoke Hearts
- 1 Bunch Scallions
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 Tsp Dried Oregeno
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1 15oz can Cannellini Beans
- 1/2 Cup Chicken Stock
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 Lbs Sweet Potatoes

KITCHEN CURES (that even doctors can't live without):

#1: How to take Splinters Out: Take the peel of a ripened banana and cut into the size of the affected area. Put pulp side down and wrap it with a bandage and by the next morning you should be good to go. The enzymes of the peel breakdown the material of the splinter therefore making it a breeze to pull out.

#2: Apple Cider Vinegar for Dandruff: Take 1/2 Cup Aplle Cider Vinegar & 1/2 Cup Water. Spritz on Scalp and massage it into the scalp. Saturate the scalp. Wrap head with towel and wait 15 minutes. Use 2x per week. Acid in the vinegar breaks down the oily fatty stuff produced by the scalp that the bacteria and yeast that cause dandruff thrive on. So if you break that up you won't have anything to make them grow. 3 days in a row in the beginning then 2x a week for maintenance.

#3: Pickle Juice for Muscle Cramps: Trainers have know this for years. Drink 2.5 oz at onset of cramp. During the studies that have been taken it takes 85 seconds for the pickle juice to work.

#4: Licorice for Calluses: Licorice has estrogen-like compenents that can soften and breakdown the hardness of the callus. Licorice meaning the actual licorice and not the candy. You can get it in a healthfood store. Take (4) and grind them up (like in a coffee grinder) add 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil. Make a paste with it and then rub on calluses at night. Then cover it with a non-absorbent bandage (like a telfa pad) and then leave it on overnight. Putting on a sock on is recommended to hold in place.

Bonus Tips:

#1: Chew on Sage to prevent bad breath and is beneficial for gingivitis.
Bug Bites: Use equal parts of lime juice to water mixture and apply to affected areas with a cotton ball. It will neutrulize the reaction and ease the itching. The lime juice may actually help the bite from becoming infected from all the dirt and grime from underneath the fingernails as you go it from all the scratching.

#2: Rasberry Tea can heal canker sores. The flavinoids reduce inflammation and prevent tissue damage. It also full of tanic acid that relieves pain and promotes healing.
