That is a 5 to me. I have two fridges and things I would rather do on the weekend.

I'll put it at about a minus 8! I did finally get some oven floor liners, and they work well, untill something goes underneath it.

What about really scrubbing the frig? As in take everything out!

I really do more in the fall than in the spring. Spring is full of garden, etc. Fall has several big things coming up that I need to house to look good for. And I know I'm going to be inside more than in the summer as well, so that is a motivator for me.

Scale of 1-10--where does cleaning the oven rank?

I should do fall housecleaning, but I choose to not do it. For this year I am blessed to hire a housecleaner two times a month.

My day was some better too, but the back to school slow down has hit hard. We had a 4 hour lunch break today. Of course we were not gone that whole time, and we did some busy work, but still......no pt means no payments coming in.

On a more cheerful note--does anyone do fall housecleaning?

Aww, I'm sorry! I had a double OR today, up at 4, at work by 4:30, boss says he wants to leave for Nashville by 5. He comes in at 545, and once we get there, sits in the car playing on his phone for 20 minutes..... I forgot one instrument, which is really a big deal, seriously. He was able to continue, but I'm on the hit list again. And then when we got back to the office, one of the girls asked me why we were late to OR!

I feel very job insecure right now.

Anybody else wishing they could retire about now?

I am taking a couple of courses for improving my school. Today was our first day, and if I could retire I would! I hate nasty emails from mothers. I want to say come help, and don't blast me in an email to me and cc my boss. Double Yuck!

Good for you! I'm ashamed to realize just how off track I got this summer, especially cooking for DS while he was home. I'm lanning on creating leftovers during the weekend now, for DH, and I'm going back to a bowl of cereal for dinner. I really need to eat lunch, with my work schedule, and 2 big meals a day just dose not work for me.

Loved both the swimming and the women's gymnastics. School starts for my students tomorrow. I have been back to my eat right and workout right routine. I have lost 12 pounds.
So, I am 166 once again. Ten more to lose and I will be back where I was two years ago in TN.

The pink and blue were pretty ghastly! Great Britain had the white and gold cut off pants with bomber sort of jackets. They got called out among the 10 worst...along with the pink and blue and the US!

I am in awe of the gymnasts! And the divers! And i'm so glad GB got the mens road roace, and impressed that they did, just 10 days after the Tour!

What has been you most impressive so far?

They are abaout to start ladies gymnastics, watched the end of the ladies road race this am. Mostly today I have been working on an urgent prayer shawl and cleaning and organizing my yarn room.

Did you see the opening parade? Who do you think had the most "what were they thinking" outfits?

I detest shoes! I blame it on the fact my feet are so wide--nearly as wide as they are long! I wear crocs at work, regular shoes pinch horribly by the end of the day.

Has anyone ever knitted/crocheted/other with Fun Fur yarn? It's that eyelash stuff...

I was looking forward to smaller jeans, but this has not been a good summer for exercise (who wants to ride or run in 100 degree heat). DH and I decided yesterday we have to buckle down and get the weight off.

I hate shoes and only wear them when I have to. I do have a pair of Teva river shoes that are great.

Sad to say that I gained 15 pounds since I moved to Germany two years ago. I am now wearing a tight 12 instead a lose 10. Not riding at least 50 miles a week on my bike really had me slacking on my calorie burning. I bought some new bike clothes and plan to get on my bike again when I go back in August.

No school ads yet...which is surprising, as school starts on the 7 or 8. And more rain, but on and off showers mostly. with some thunderstorms thrown in.

No more rain this week in No. KY. Yes, the school commercials and ads have started. YUCK! I am not ready to return to school yet.

More rain today! In fact, a few areas are starting to worry about flooding. Famine to feast....

I have been guzzling water like it was gold!

Are the back to school commercials hitting your area yet?

Since I have been on vacation I am doing more Diet Cokes than during the school year. So, I still drink water, but probably less since we've been staying with our daughter.

Oh that rain felt good! It is drying up now, but it was wonderful while it lasted. Things are trying to turn green already!

Has your water consumption (drinking_ gone up in this weather?

We took the oldest GS to TN camping Tuesday and it rained all night, most of Wed, all night Wed and part of Thurs. We didn't get much at home, but they sure needed it in TN.

Yes! I have been too hot to feel hungry only a couple of times I grew up in the southern California desert that could reach 120 plus degrees in the summer. It was 120 yesterday! Also, in July 2010 I rode in some bike events that were too hot too ride and eat. The Dr. Pepper days in late June was 97 degrees of hot wind for 62 miles. it took me all day to finish and I was not hungry.

We have a place called Sweet CiCis that is fabulous! Your choice of a dozen or so soft serve fro yo, with gazillions of toppings. They sell by wt, and have lots of fresh fruit.

Is it ever just TOO hot for you to feel hungry?

It took us 39 years of marriage to get us to Ireland, but it was so worth our wait. Marvelous and gorgeous country with friendly folks.

My favorite cold treat from the store is ice cream.. I love fudgsicles or Skinny Cows.

Would you believe Pomp and Circumstance? Drives me crazy too. I never did like that song.

Has anyone experimented with music playing on a device as you pedal?

I love avocados, and tend to eat it all at once since they turn brown.

I could barely ride when I started out too. You build up to your strength to ride those long rides. The rain here as been keeping me off of my bike for awhile now. Hoepfully, it will clear up tomorrow. We are going to Ireland this weekend for one week. I plan to rent a bike to ride some while there. Yipee!

I have various theme songs play in my head while riding. They range from Kutless and Chris Tomlin to Glee and Carrie Underwood. Song titles would be:

Just a Dream by Carrie
Jesus Messiah, God of this City by C.Tomlin
Edge of Glory and We are the Champions by Glee Cast
Strong Tower by Kutless

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17

Bev, good to hear from you! Hope you get the notification thing figured out.

Pastor Clint--keep at it! My first ride was all fo about 10 minutes. And those heavy clunkers don't help. You go, guy!

I've been sidetracjked with a monster headache all day. But, I managed to cook not just supper, but salad for lunch this week, and tomorrow is in the fridge now, ready to go. No avocado tonight.

Who has a "theme song" that goes through your head while riding?

For some reason I'm not getting my notification of posts. Have to check on that.

PastorClint, just keep riding. You will get there. My first ride was just 1 mile and thought I would die. DH was very patient with me and I kept at it.

Hi Sparkfriends,

I had a good day. This morning I took out the old heavy steel beach cruiser and rode for 14.09 miles. Wit the old bike having only one speed {Slow} it took me one hour and fifty five minutes.

I am looking forward to the day when I will be small enough to be able to ride a road bike or a mountain bike.

Have a great weekend.

Blessings
Clint

I had OR this morning, so no breakfast. I went to Subway for lunch, rather than a burger place. So, good for that. Then instead of pizza for supper I had a sald, which is better, even wioth the whole avacodo! It would make sense to have only half--but I hate the oxidation that occurs, and they cost so much! At least it is haelthy fat. So--who else loves avacodoes?

Scars tell us where we have been. They don't dictate where we are going.
