I am not close to my ultimate goal, but I am about five pounds away from a lower weight that I did maintain after going through Beck. I kept off about 45 pounds for a year and a half and then in the next year or so I gained back 15. Now 10 of that is gone again.
I can't remember exactly what Beck said about maintenance. I just remember that going all the way through Beck caused some real changes in me: in my habits, the way I thought about things, and so on. Also, I really became accustomed to monitoring how I was doing, so that was second nature. So the maintenance is almost built it.
(I gained weight due to a few things going on in my life, and I realized it in time to stop it from getting out of hand.)

I haven't finished the book yet.
I've been using the CD set during my commute to keep me motivated to keep a food diary which worked for me years ago.
I didn't recall much being said about the psychology of maintenance, which is probably the bigger challenge as it is for the rest of your life.
Does the book have a lot to say about maintenance.
No rush, I have about 6 months to go before I need to worry about that :)
