I just finished the 42 day plan for the first time yesterday. I am going to keep planning my food in advance for the next day. I had no idea I would get this far - I pretty much had given up before I picked up the book.

Sure, following the plan for 6 weeks was really time consuming and felt really difficult at times. But the difficulties were pretty much momentary. It really has opened my eyes to all the possibilities, suddenly having this new training after all these years of yo-yo dieting.

Judi, I think you're right. I am going to start back through it myself. It's really about establishing the habit and sticking with it.

I just feel that I am in control. I am finding that when I eat meals, I feel comfortable with the smaller meals. I have eaten larger amounts and find myself feeling uncomfortable when I do that.

Keep on keeping on, Judi! Forward ho!

It is great that you are at the finish line of the six weeks. I got through it all about three years ago, but I am just now going back through. It helped before, so I hope it does again!

I took an extra week or two while on vacation to get through the workbook but I'm on Day 42. Moving forward.

The exercises I resisted doing the most turned out to be some of the best exercises. I resisted the craving / hunger exercise and the "no food during the day" exercise. I learned a lot from those exercises. I know that if I feel hungry, that feeling will wane. It certainly is not as painful as my most painful experience.

Some of the exercises seem useless but I'm glad I did them. What I did before didn't help me learn skills to maintain my weight once I reach that weight.

Time to review my daily logs and fill out my daily journal entries.

If you get stuck, post! Sometimes just the act of posting can help you get through the moment.
