You are reminding us of important things! I have been in a habit of giving in to the extra food for the last few months. I am really tired of behaving this way, and this morning, I pre-tracked the day. I am sticking to it.
In the past, I used to feel deprived if I had to say no to extra food. Then when I started Beck over three years ago, I learned to feel differently about it. I figured out that I wanted to make the good choices because I would be glad about it later.
I did very well for the first year or year and a half. Then I slacked off to some extent. But I maintained the loss. Then about five months ago, I got off track, then on then off then on then off... and I gained four or five pounds. For the last month, I stopped tracking food, and did not continue to gain. I just lost and gained the same one pound over and over. But it was "nice" to have a break from tracking.
But today, I decided to try tracking food again and try being more careful of my choices. Some of my recent eating episodes did not leave me feeling so great. So even though I didn't gain weight, I felt it was time to make a change.
