The Beck Diet Solution is more of an approach than a diet. It is based on a book (or really a few books) by Judith Beck. She is the daughter of Aaron Beck who is the psychologist who first started talking about cognitive therapy. His daughter applied this approach to losing weight.
Part of the approach is to choose a diet for yourself. So the people on this team are all on different diets. But we share a lot of the same ideas.
There is the original book and a workbook that went with it. (I used the workbook) and now there is a newer book. Any of those would be good to use. See if you can find it in the library or maybe one you can buy used online.
Some of the key ideas are:
Be sure you figure out WHY you want to lose weight.
Fight back against sabotaging thoughts.
Learn approaches that work in many situations.
Maybe a few other people want to chime in about this. (I can answer more things for you but this is a good start...)
